No. The Hollows does not need a level boost just because someone likes to run a particular mission with a full team at +4. If you did, then you'd have to do that same thing for all the other zones and their story arcs. Just... no. Learn to manage your XP for the content you want to play. Or get friendly with the menders in Ouroboros and learn to use that nifty crystal they have.

You're in your 20s... you're not not going to be uber right now. It gets better gradually as you level up. This is how it is with ALL ATs and powersets. You really don't get good until your 30s and 40s. And that doesn't mean this or any other similar sets are "junk." It just hurts more with Defensive sets as you try to avoid being hit, but when you are hit, you have lower resists so you feel it more. Just like the lower levels, be sure to stock up on purple, orange, and green inspires until you get more powers, more slots, and set bonuses to get your defenses up higher. If you have 25% def to your types now, you are 20% under the soft cap. So, you still have a long ways to go. And you can get there by slotting IO sets for TYPED def (not positional) and taking pool powers like Weave, Maneuvers, Combat Jumping, etc - every little bit helps. Be sure the Gladiator's Armor +3% Def and Steadfast Protection +3% Def special IOs are in your build. Additionally, be sure you slot Energy Absorption for max Def, then Recharge, and if any room left, End Mod. Hitting that as soon as you enter a mob can boost your def very high to get you to and eventually well-over the def softcap. Here is my Ice/Energy Tanker build for your reference. Hopefully, this will give you some ideas of what you can do... Frigid-Dare - Tanker (Ice Armor).mbd Good luck!

I've pointed this out in other threads. It's actually a nice bug in our favor - respec, then zone, and most of your powers are back where you had them in your trays. Let's NOT fix this! 🙂

The Eden Trial needs fixed so that it does reward more than the 7 merits. It was nerfed down to 7 when people found the holes in the walls to TP through and they were doing speed runs. This has been fixed and other things with the trial boosted as well - so the merit rewards should be upped (although, it would still be low considering). In addition, there should be more challenge made to the trial overall to make it reward yet even higher rewards, imo. I'm not on board with your proposal as I don't think a single TF/SF/Trial should be singled out to give extra rewards - but rather instead, fix the trial so that it's naturally worth more. I love the Eden Trial and it just needs some love from the Devs too. 🙂
-
You can only receive the WST rewards ONCE per character per week for any WST TF/SF/Trial. So if you run a second, third, or more with the same toon, you do not get the bonus double merits for those runs - this includes running Justine Augustine and then running an ITF and then an Op Renault (this week) - even though they are different TFs, they are all WSTs and you only get the double merits for 1 of them and not the other two. However, you do get credit for badges for "helping" others complete the WST while not getting those rewards. 🙂

Many have their own favorites and there are suggestions out there here and there buried threads. However, some search-fu came up with this guide which seems like a good place for you to start....

I don't think swarms give any influence whatsoever for being an underling. Can you confirm you're getting no influence by defeating something else that's within level range and is a minion, LT, boss, or higher?

Hitting Enter should accept Terms of Service
Frozen Burn replied to adran06's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
This would be a nice feature to have again - it was like that back during live - we could just hit enter and move on. Even with how long the game has been back, it's still a weird step for me to separately click the mouse button instead of pressing enter a 2nd time. 😄 But if it's a conscious effort on the Devs to make us use the mouse vs. pressing enter again to keep us from "forgetting" about the ToS/EULA... I'm okay with that. But if the Devs aren't thinking that and/or don't care, then yes, please let us press "enter" to enter! 🙂 ...legally, it's still the same whether we click or press - just as long as we do. -
Elegant solution to buff Regen.
Frozen Burn replied to ClawsandEffect's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Dull Pain already can cap your HPs and can be perma'd... so I do not see any value in this. Unless you are talking about all granting a Heal buff (more green floating #s above your head) so that when you take damage, you're already healing back more + your natural regen without clicking Heal Self?? As for other options, I agree with others in that absorb or some measure of defense added in would be great - but I recognize that the Devs may not be for either of those. Instead, I can only think that DDR and Resist Debuff Protection added to Resilience would be a huge help. Many skip Resilience, so adding a Def/Resist debuff resistance would also encourage people to take this power (like Grant Cover in Shield Defense which is also often skipped). But also, I think people need to temper their expectations for how to play a regen character - you can't play it like other melee sets or stand still in the center of a mob like you could in the early days of COH. You have to play it like a Blapper - hit hard with melee, but know that you're naked and may have to pop out of melee to let yourself regen some and/or let the DDR cascade dissipate for a few secs before jumping back in. I honestly think this is how a REGEN powerset should be played - although, I recognize many may disagree. But even with this still... I think there is some improvement that can be made to Regen to bolster it while keeping this feel. Although, other than what's been stated here and above, I do not know what else to suggest at this point. -
Some LTs and Bosses do, even vampyrs. Not all, though. It seems to be random. You just have to run lots of 5th Column content until you get enough of the transforming soldiers/vampyrs for the badge.

Catalysts are too expensive to buy and catalyze an entire build. To attune all your enhs in a build after a respec, it is cheaper to swap them out on the market. To do so, it's best to have a second account. Run both accounts. The alt account should have plenty of Inf for buying what your main account is selling / trying to attune. (Email them some money if you have to.) With the alt account, find the IO that you want to attune on the market in the Attuned section. Make a low-ball bid (not too low) for that IO you want attuned. Too high, and you'll buy it outright; too low and you'll lost the IO you're trying to attune. You want to find the sweet spot of having the highest bid, but not buying anyone else's IO. You may have to creep up/down with your bids. (This takes practice, knowing the market, and trial and error.) With your Main account, post your IO for 1 Inf. If your alt account bid right, they will buy an attuned version of your IO and your main account will get their Inf back less a 10% transaction fee (Way less than the cost of a catalyst). If you bid too low, you will not get the attuned IO, but your main account will get the other person's Inf and you'll know how much to buy another one for. If you bid too high, it doesn't matter, and you'll get the IO - however, you'll lose more in transaction fees. Whether you accidentally buy an attuned IO outright or sell to someone else and have to purchase one, it will all still work out cheaper in the long run doing it this way versus buying a ton of catalysts. For future toons... buy attuned IOs as you level up. And then any recipes you get, craft, and sell them for whatever profit you can make. That is the easiest way going forward.

Unfortunately, that's how the market goes... Highest bid goes to the lowest posted item (and then time of post only factors in for identical posts or identical bids, in which case the earliest gets it). Just because you bought something for 3M. and then go to sell it for 3M, doesn't mean you'll get 3M back. If you post for 3M and it's not selling... that means everyone is posting for less than you. If you pull down your post and relist it a 2.5M and it's still not selling, then again, people are still posting for lower than you. If you're seeing sales go for more than your posting price - that means people are over paying for the items other people are posting lower than yours. But posting too low is also a gamble.... the whole market is. You can post for 2M, and may only get 2M.... or you may get lucky and someone over pay and give you your 3M. But you should also be aware, when relisting items you lose money. So, you want to avoid doing that, especially multiple times. When you list something you pay a 5% listing fee... if you cancel that to relist the item, you lose that fee. You get that 5% back if the item sells, but you then pay a 10% transaction fee. So, if you post for 3M, you pay 150k in fees. You lose that when pulling the post. Relisting at 2.5M, you pay an additional 125k. You cancel that and lose it. And relisted again at 3M for another 150k fee.... you're now out 425k just in posting fees. Initially to get your 3M back that you spent when you bought it, you'd have to post for 3M and someone would have to graciously buy it for 3.3M (because you lose 10% in transaction fees). But someone may pay the 3M, it sell, and you'll only get 2.7M due to the transaction fee. But you're already out 425k in posting fees. So, you really only get 2.275M, which is a loss overall. To get your initial 3M + your 425k in fees you've lost, you'd have to sell the item for ~3.8M (less the 10% transaction fee). But they aren't selling for that much. Best to always anticipate a loss when reposting something - again, you rarely, if ever, get back what you initially paid for it.

This isn't a bug. You should post this in the "suggestions" section instead.

I understand your frustration. I had the exact same reaction when I made my first /Ninja Blaster. But in playing it, with Kuji-in Toh on auto and manually clicking Hasten... it's actually not that big of deal. And it's actually one of my most favorite blasters. There are key binds that you can make so that every time you press a movement key, it will switch auto-firing between Hasten and Kuji-in Toh (or others, if you wanted). That way, both powers will auto-fire when they are recharged since you're most likely hitting your movement keys a lot. You'll have to put up with the auto-fire ring moving back and forth between the two powers in your tray, though. Many who play SR and Shield will do this too. (I don't because my OCD won't handle the dancing ring on the screen.) 😄

Noticed this didn't get answered for you.... No, you cannot edit or change someone else's mission that they've created in AE.

Practically anything is good. /Fire is certainly an excellent choice. I went with /Martial and it's a ton of fun to play!

yOu ShOuLD cHaNGe kNoCkBAck to KnoCKdoWN!
Frozen Burn replied to Forager's topic in General Discussion
This is not true. I've chain KB'd foes into other groups without them being aggro'd. I've even killed that KB'd mob in the other group without the other group aggroing. What aggros them is if your AOEs tags one of the other group members or someone goes chasing after KB'd foe. -
And thematically, all Ninjas need to stop and take a moment to re-center themselves and their chi. 😄

Glad to have helped. 🙂 You still have WAY more endurance than you can use... only other thing i can suggest for you to consider is to add in 2 special IOs that I like to have in all my builds across all ATs. You have all the other important special IOs: Steadfast +3% Def, Gladiator's armor +3% def, Unbreak Guard +Max HP, etc, etc, etc... but you are missing: Shield Wall +Resistance (TP/All) and Reactive Defenses +Scaling Resist. These are helpful when things get through your defense - especially the scaling resist. It gives +3% resist to all, and then as you lose health, you get more and more resistance up to 13%. As a naked shieldless blaster, every bit is helpful. These aren't required, of course, but they are nice to have. And since you have more end than you can use, you can drop the Numina's and Miracle from Health (and still have tons of End at your disposal) and put those 2 slots and IOs in Hover so you have them at the earliest you can in your build. They work even when Hover is off. And regarding Stealth and its defense - yes, you are correct in that some defense is retained during combat. But the slots are better served in Weave and Scorp shield as they give more defense than Stealth. If you haven't already, in Mids, go to Options > Effects & Maths and on the far righthand side are check boxes. Click "Attacked" and the numbers shown will calculate what they will be when you're in combat. You'll see the defense numbers for Stealth (and Evasive Maneuvers) drastically drop, but you'll retain a tiny bit. But again, generally not worth slotting for as those slots are better served elsewhere. 🙂 Have fun!!

You're entitled to your opinion. But that doesn't mean others are wrong. Many never ever or rarely take Musculature because other Alphas provide more overall benefit. What is wrong is believing there is only 1 Alpha (musc) and only 1 way to play.
-
I like it... I like it all. I like the cim missions. I like the tentacle mission as it's challenging to fight them and the ambushes at the same time - plus, it's just unique and not another cave mish.

Why do enemy lairs/bases omit toilets?
Frozen Burn replied to Scarlet Shocker's topic in General Discussion
Most, if not all, of the office maps have restroom doors. Lab maps have what appear to be fake doors that we cannot open - i would assume they lead to restrooms somewhere - eventually - hopefully. Oranbega - Well, CoT probably just magically make their waste disappear. Blue/purple caves - there is always a room with water and/or lava vents. Those make natural facilities for people to do their business. Just be careful splashing through the pools, though. Council / 5th Column Caves - These are people are filthy buggers in more ways than one. They probably dig a hole, do their business, and then bury it back up. Warwolves - they probably go anywhere like most dogs, and scratch the ground afterwards after depositing a #2. Be careful where you step - especially when visiting Requiem's Warwolf world. What's really a concern, though, are the Freakshow - some don't have biological lower halves so it not an issue, but those that do will have hammers, sickles, and large claws for both hands - how do they even drop their pants or wipe themselves? Or, maybe they have hidden cybernetic junk and butts that process their bodily waste turning it into bio-fuel, hydraulic fluid, or lubrication for their cybernetics - maybe?? Hmmm..... -
You have a lot of wasted slotting. And a couple wasted powers that really do nothing for you or your build. Infiltration is a waste to you. You cannot use it and Stealth at the same time. Also, Infiltration is a considered a travel power and you already have Super Speed and Fly. I am guessing you are using Infiltration only as a mule for the LotG +Global Recharge, but you have 6 of those - you only get credit for 5 of them max (or any set bonus of same value). So, not only is Infiltration useless to you powerwise, it's also useless for slotting. Super Speed is also a wasted power pick. You don't really need both SS and Fly, but I do understand if you want it for concept. But you have Athletic Run for those times you want to run faster when there is no room for flying (caves, offices, etc). If you want the celerity +Stealth IO still, you can put that in Sprint and still get that benefit. You should definitely ditch Infiltration and take something else. I would suggest Thunderstrike (PBAOE) or Shocking Grasp (high damage Hold). If you like knocking things back/down, Thunderstrike does that and stuns like Force of Thunder, except it does also damage too. You're a blaster and there to dish out the damage! 🙂 And Shocking Grasp gives you a 3rd hold which will allow you to hold an EB or chain hold 2 bosses. Personally, I would ditch both Infiltration and Super Speed and take both Thunderstrike and Shocking Grasp. This will give you SO much more control (stacking more stuns and holds, and KB/KD) plus have you dish out more damage overall. But at bare minimum, get rid of Infiltration - in which case, I would also suggest getting rid of Force of Thunder too to take both Thunderstrike (does the same + damage) and Shocking Grasp too. As for Slotting.... Stamina is over slotted - you have more End than you need or could ever use. Just put a Performace Shifter +End proc in the 1 slot and be done. That will give you 5 slots to put in Thunderstrike and/or Shocking Grasp - or slot up Weave and Scorpion Shield to give you more defense. Purple Sets - none of them need that 6th slot. The Psi def or Toxic resists do very little for you. Stealth - slotting it up for defense is pointless since the defense is suppressed during combat. Just drop your LotG +Global Rech in it and be done. That's 2 more slots you can use for Thunderstike, Shocking Grasp, Weave, Scorp Shield. Hasten - 2 slot it with +5 boosted Rech IOs. That pretty much = 3 slotting it with lvl 50 IOs. That will give you another slot to put elsewhere. Blizzard - better to have a full set of Superior Blaster's Wrath in it - you'll do more damage with it and have it recharge faster. Then I'd put a set of 5 Superior Winter's Bite in Bitter Ice Blast. Dynamo - You don't need a full set of Efficacy Adapters in it. This is a unique power for blasters in that it also does damage as well as drain end while giving you +recovery and +regen. Most other blaster secondaries, their sustain powers give +recov and +regen/+absorb only. So.... I would take advantage and slot it with 3 Synapse's Shock and 3 Power Transfers: Synapse's Shock, I would slot: Endmod/Increased Run speed, Endmod, Dam/Rech Power Transfer, I would slot: Endmod, Dam/Endmod, Chance to heal self This iwll give you plenty of Recovery, increased run speed doubly from 2 slots of Synapse's Shock and the run speed increase IO (to help counter losing Super Speed, if you choose to drop it as well), and this slotting gives you some increased damage for those choosing to be in melee range of you and a bit of auto healing for you. Health - the Regen Tissue +Regen proc does little for you since you have no other inherent regen (like those ATs/Powersets with armors and higher hitpoints). It's not bad, but not great either and that slot could be used elsewhere, if you wanted. Additionally, the Panacea +End/+Heal proc is superior to the Numina's +Regen/+Recov proc - so you could swap that out for the Panacea, if you wanted. Clearly, you love you toon and love playing it. So, that is all that matters. These are just tweaks and suggestions of things you could do to improve your build. At the very minimum, get rid of Infiltration and use the extra 5 slots from Stamina to slot up your new power or others. 🙂
