That survival comes from all other powers made available to you as a Kheldian.

On top of getting 5 powers for the price of 1, Nova also grants extra recovery, flight, a tohit buff, and the aforementioned damage buff. Which if these would you be willing to give up for some better DPA?

Would depictions of drinking alcohol have gone against the game's T rating when it was live. Now, sure, bring on the wine glasses & beer steins!

Maybe, to tie in with the Menders and the lore of the fiery time crystals, a "temporal blast" set could utilize smaller time crystals - possible launching smaller ones or encasing enemies in said crystals...

I have a 50 dual pistols/radiation armor sentinel that is very fun to play. I have a 20-30-something fire/EA sent that feels very good, but it's too early for me to tell for certain...

Peanut butter & jelly ONLY, NO tuna!!!

No, the level range simply indicates the levels at which the recipes to craft those enhancements can drop at. A level 30 IO will only provide that bonus. The big exception are "attuned" enhancements - these are, for all intents and purposes, "leveless", and will scale with whatever your current combat level is. Just note that this attunement only affects the base stat bonuses, and not special effects, (like for a luck of the gambler def/+global recharge, it'll only affect the defense buff, not the global recharge).

I've mainly encountered tankers or brutes...

I have a 50 water/bio sentinel. It's a good combination, but not particularly outstanding in any one area, TBH.

One possible solution, (though I am loathe to introduce a new currency), would be to replace the choice of a Hamidon enhancement with a "Hamidon token", which can be turned in for your choice of HO.

Welcome home! Here's a good starting point for crafting/inventions. This is the approach I generally take: starting at level 22, I will craft and slot level 25 "generic IOs", and use these all the way to 50, at which point, I'll either utilize one of my alternate builds to start slotting set-IOs or special ones, like Hamidon enhancements or the like. Invention-origin enhancements continue to provide their benefit, regardless of your level. that being said, with very few exceptions, I wouldn't bother spending a lot of influence or rare components on lower-level IOs.

Imagine a young-adult Lilo, from Lilo & Stitch, who was now an agent for the Galactic Federation. What AT and powersets would you pick?
-
But @Greycat, then people would have to actually play the game and participate in **gasp** cooperative group content... Or, y'know, run one of the TFs that gives the equivalent.

Not to be "that guy," but...
biostem replied to TheOtherTed's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
I'm gonna go on a bit of a tangent here, so please feel free to ignore me if so desired, but I really wish, instead of remakes of previous movies, that we'd get extensions or expansions of them. For instance, my partner and I were discussing Lilo & Stitch, and how it'd be the perfect launching pad for a new space opera franchise - imagine a teenage or young adult Lilo as the first full-fledged human agent of the Galactic Federation - romping around the galaxy with Stitch, investigating crime, saving planets, and generally meeting interesting people and visiting amazing new places. You could keep focus on the notion of Ohana/family, how different societies and lifestyles are just as valid as all others, but still keep people entertained with good action and deep storytelling... -
Any interest in a full Khledian Team ???

But who's gonna call out the quantums??? -
Soldiers are trained to carefully control their trigger pulls, as opposed to relying upon some in-built mechanism to limit how many rounds are fired. While getting only a single shot out of an M60 or SAW may be difficult, it isn't impossible. Since we are in a fantastical setting, it is certainly feasible that our characters would possess the skill to get off only a single round, if they so desired...

If I had to guess, I'd say that there were probably different developers/artists working on the textures, and perhaps some were meant to be used on much smaller items, but were instead stretched to accommodate larger meshes, thus the blurry look; If those boxes on the right were 1/4 the size, they'd probably look fine.

Yeah - the problem is that the origins are quite vague. As @Player2 intimated, what one player defines as "magic" another player may declare a natural innate ability of their character's race. A primitive character may treat a nanotech item as a magical talisman. Who is the objective arbiter that will say, definitively, which is correct? **Queue mandatory argument as to whether Superman's abilities are a "natural" result of his race's interaction with our sun, or whether said exposure falls under "science"**

No, my argument is that not everything will or should be attainable for every player, that rewards should be earned legitimately, and that it is ok to not "have it all".
