  1. I would really dislike that change as a dominator. With the pets floating round and attacking things, the impact of fear is limited. You're then down to one hard AoE control in Shdaow Field with a ludicrous cooldown. I think that would sacrifice too much imo and make the set too unsafe.
  2. "Crafted Sets: the assumed value of the merits it costs to get it." At the normal 1mill = 1 merit price, no one is going to buyt that, so you are going to have to vendor them. Not really sure why you would suggest that...
  3. Surely the opposite is true? If I want a character who uses fire to attack and heal, but ISN'T surrounded by fire, I can't do that in the current systemn because I can't make the fire shields invisible. I could refuse to take them, but the game is very much not balanced around that. Or, if I'm happy that he has fire shield, but wouldn't pulse fire periodically (but does "heat up" the area around him to justify a PBAoE aura) I can't. The examples I gave allow greater freedom because they essentially allow transparency sliders into powers - more ghost / natural / tehcnology options because there are less particle effects.
  4. Agreed. It makes staying in theme really quite difficult. Some servers have replicated something similar by allowing you to use pure white on a "dark" power option, and pure black on the "bright" power options. One of those can normally neutralise the effects. Otherwise, some way of just applying an existing toggle with nil effects as the animation to all other toggles would be pretty great. Hell, even if its just tough/weave as a placeholder.
  5. I really like Dark Control. I'd love for Haunt to be a bit less spaced out, and it would be good to have it a bit clearer in the power tooltip that it actually taunts enemeis (I have started to use that if no domination to take care of bosses for a bit). Otherwise, it's a really good set, I wouldn't mind an option for a different pet. I do wonder if more could be done with Fear so that it is a bit more uniform about activation before detection - sometimes the mobs still get an attack off. A minor point may also be changing Living Shadows into a TAoE to synergise with Heart of Darkness, but that might be a bit "too" perfect. I also wouldn't mind an option in power customisation without the black shadow but that's deeply personal to fit into my "ghost" theme!
  6. Thank you! I also realised my Mids is out of date, so I'm missing some tasty powers that have been released. I do quite like Mystic Flight though, so I will have to run the numbers re Force of Will. The other Energy attacks were mainly for when exemplaring down to do content, as otherwise its very few attacks below level 33. Equally, I don't do that much so I may just skip Power Push but keep Power Blast for peace of mind.
  7. This was actually the first pairing I made when I started on Homecoming, before the Energy Assault buffs! I took a short break and I am returning now. I'm trying to adapt to the buffs to Energy Assault, and find a way to include the snipe (if it does good damage) but struggling to get enough Defence as I felt that was what was really lacking with my previous build. I did have Primal Forces Mastery for the dual AoEs previously,l but if Total Focus has been buffed then thats probably not needed. To save some slots I went with Soul Mastery instead. Would love some feedback:
  8. I've noticed this as well but couldn't tell you which levels
  9. I find with Arachnos the real problem is Mu Guardians - otherwise you can open with a stun (at least as Warshade) and then take out the other Mus as priority Alpha. the Guardians are boss rank so they resist it though. Arachnos is the most variable I find as some groups are fine, and then some groups are just "lol no", they have nasty variety.
  10. Does anyone know what Story Arc is needed to get the "Determined" Badge? Mine is at 15 of 16 story arcs in Dark Astoria, but the repeatable contacts don't give story arcs do they? I have done the hero and the villan intros. Edit: I was missing one of Max's rescue missions - seems like these are coded as separate story arcs since that's how they are shown in Ouro
  11. I don't know if it helps, but if you want contact and mission dialogue to be bigger, you can use /window_scale Status 1.99 and it will put those to maximum. This may also increase the size of the health bar though.
  12. You posted on reddit, so here's my comment from there: You need end redux in your actual powers for one - people go on about putting it in toggles, but if you have a good attack chain then your attacks are what is really sapping your end, especially if you have recharge slotted. You also need to be using Stygian Circle more. It can be quite helpful even if there are just one or two bodies. However, that strategy only rally works when you are using IO sets that give you a lot of recharge. For generic IOs, you might want to add a couple of slots to it with recharge and endurance modification. Also make sure that your stamina power is slotted too. You could slot all of these, but personally I would not recommend all of them. Warshade is slot starved as it is, and once Stygian Circle has a low enough cool down you won't need as much help. To do that though, you need some more general +recharge. A lot of these set IOs are very expensive too.
  13. I think the latest patch reduces the endurance cost of stealth and eliminates the move debuff, so it may be worth considering again.
  14. Does anyone know of any resource of what the proc effects are for Interface? I presume most of the DoTs themselves don't have anything based on my experience, but it looks like the secondary effects do.
  15. The Stalker chance of Build Up ATO changed my experience completely. Because you don't reduce the recharge time much, Guassian stacks very nicely. Since every attack has a change to proc the no cooldown effect, you can basically constantly use build up guilt free rather than feeling like you are saving it up.
  16. Nice look TCUFROGS! I actually got some inspiration in the end, but here are what I eventually went for. The concept is a Kheldian infused suit of armor rather than true symbiosis, so both the Nictus and the Human do still have their own personality. The far right is full medieval, the middle and the far left are DarkTech.
  17. Thanks for this - for any WS I've made this into a Macro: /macro Mire "powexec_auto Sunless Mire$$powexec_name Black Dwarf Mire$$powexec_toggleoff Black dwarf$$powexec_toggleoff Dark nova$$goto_tray 1" Anyone know if there is a way to do this doubled, starting in Human Form? I can't figure out if it would actually be possible, but I suspect not given that you would a keystroke to toggle on Dwarf, and another to execute the mire. Speaking off, a lot of these binds have dwarf toggled off and then something else toggling on, but that doesn't seem to work when I try the exact same binds, such a: /bind lshift+e "powexec_toggleoff Dark Nova$$powexec_toggleoff Black Dwarf$$powexec_auto hasten$$powexec_toggleon hover$$gototray 1$$bind l powexec_name Shadow Step".
  18. Also, with that many procs you have no accuracy, endurance or recharge. The procs are at 3 times a minute, and the chance of each going off is capped at 90%. You won't get that chance though with a 12 second recharge. You're unlikely to get all going off each time, and without set bonuses you won't have the accuracy to forgo accuracy enhancements. If you miss, no damage or procs.
  19. It's no longer the same nerfed dom damage scales on beta. You still need +22% tohit to get the current damage of it though. Otherwise I think the scale starts at 2.76. This post is just so if someone reads it later they aren't confused
  20. I've feared mobs, hit them with a damage attack and they've made no move to retaliate though. How does that work with modes?
  21. They have a "chance" to attack, but it's not guaranteed.
  22. Haunt can be made permanent but it is quite difficult to do, equally you have a lot of recharge anyway to get perma dom. On my build its 1 sec off perma which is fine for me. They don't do masses of damage, but they apply fear, help split the spawn'a attention and look cool. I can't talk about Earth Assault though.
  23. It doesn't have to. I personally use that bond above but with powexectoggleon to switch between fly and hover on "f". Then I have shift+f "powexectoggleoff Fly$$powexectoggleoff Hover" if I want to just got to the floor. That way I don't have to cycle back to Hover either.
  24. If you haven't tried already, then you can make two characters on the test server, insta level them to 50 and then see if the auras are the same.
  25. I can't make a build right now, but in terms of critiques: Why no chasing recharge for perma dom? It provides you with mez protection and massively helps your control numbers as it boosts the length of controls and allows you to one shot control bosses? Energy Burst is you a good DPA attack, it needs to be fully slotted with a ranged damage set. Animate Stone cannot benefit from Force Feedback +recharge, as pets cannot get recharge buffs. He also needs more damage boosts as your pets are quite useful. If you 4 slot him with Expedient Reinforcement you'll get another recharge set bonus. Melt Amror isn't great as an epic power as the recharge is very long and the - Res is not that high. Equally you can only slot it for defense debuffs which by the time you get it you won't need too much since you'll have a lot of accuracy slotted in your powers and accuracy just acquired from chasing set bonuses.
