  1. A POSSIBLE option - I experimented with this - is to have an enemy as your contact. Bear with me! You just ensure that they have absolutely no powers to hit you with. Give them whatever sets you like, just no powers IN the sets. They'll at least appear. Unfortunately, you might have to shake them a bit to give up the goods, and that will kill them eventually. It doesn't seem to match your idea, but just throwing it out there.
  2. Looking at this I see that none of the Jewelry stores or Pawn stores allow either Free a Captive or Add an Ally. So there's your main issue. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do about that at all. But if you find a different map that suits you then having no enemies is easy enough. Scroll down through the enemy types to populate your map until you get to "Empty". That will help. Then make sure that any Ally or Rescued Captive also has no one around them in their set up. That last bit will need testing though because SOMETIMES the AE borks and puts enemies in, so you have to check it. Guided use of clues is good. "The owner keeps glancing at a nearby bookcase" sort of thing. And I sometimes use the entry pop up to let the player "overhear" something I want them to hear, which can be a better control over actually giving people "Unaware" dialogue, because sometimes that dialogue just shoots off when you enter the mission no matter what you do. I normally leave that blank these days for that exact reason. And especially for an ally that has no guards around them. If they have no guards and you're near enough - and what the AI thinks is near enough can be a LOOONG way away - the game treats them as auto rescued/met and they spout their "Unaware" speech.
  3. I will, I will! I just have other things on the go at the moment! Anyway, you have six arcs of Praetorian stuff to get through yet. And two Cimororan ones if you feel the need!
  4. Oddly enough (and I think I mentioned it on the other thread) I was actually trying to write an arc of tip missions! But the AE actually doesn't let you do that properly, so the first one morphed into an intro mission for the arc. I actually wrote this arc for a competition run by @Take One. It allowed me to use the Meteors again without worrying about moving the later storyline on.
  5. Yeah. I look at the guys and think "Now how did they do that?" I admire @cranebump's ability to do the surreal stuff. Can't do it myself.
  6. Ahem. Ms. Liberty. You RAN by all the Meteors and faced her alone, if I recall. Something like that? Weavers. That's supposed to be a gauntlet. Robots? Well, HVAS are HVAS, I can't adjust them. ROFL. If in doubt, and he's around, keep Axios with you.
  7. Actually, I remember something similar from the original version of Mobius! Looks like Engineria got stomped there, @TerroirNoir2.
  8. And coming next! The Meteors: (Arc id 42079) Ever since you registered as a super with City Hall they've had your contact details if they needed you, though you've been doing fine by yourself so far. Today however, you have a message from an unknown sender on that secure line. Do you want to open it? Prequel to Dark Deeds in Galaxy City: Part One (Arc id 26756)
  9. This is posted elsewhere but I decided to cross post it here now that @TerroirNoir/@TerroirNoir2 has finished all 45 missions. So I wrote a mid to high level canon-esque AE. Taking a sort of Supers procedural TV show as inspiration I ended up with three "seasons" comprising 15 episodes each. The story starts with Madame Maven, leader of The Meteors super group (Bullet Streak, Halox Von Horn, Super Charger and The Invincible Axios) calling in the player(s) for some help when Arachnos troops are seen on some covert mission in the ruins of Galaxy City. Dark Deeds in Galaxy City: Part One. (Arc id 26756) Madame Maven of the Meteors asks for your help when two of her team go missing in the ruins of Galaxy City while investigating reported Arachnos sightings there. Dark Deeds in Galaxy City: Part Two. (Arc id 26952) Following the events of Part One, Ghost Widow recruits you to retrieve an item personal to her, while investigating what she says are rogue Arachnos. Dark Deeds in Galaxy City: Part Three. (Arc id 27233) Returning to Paragon from the Rogue Isles, you and the Meteors attempt to thwart the Arachnos faction operating there, but all is not what it seems. Darker Deeds: Part One (Arc id 28374) A surviving prisoner from the Arachnos faction will only speak to you. The Meteors once again ask for your aid, but things go terribly awry and the past comes back to haunt Paragon City. Darker Deeds: Part Two. (Arc id 28536) Following the events of Part One, a new contact approaches you for help, one that is not immediately trustworthy but needs must when friends' lives depend upon it. Darker Deeds: Part Three. (Arc id 29252) Pursuing a slim lead brings you again to the Rogue Isles, and into the depths of modern day Arachnos' machinations. And a terrible plan that even they fear. Darkest Before Dawn: Part One (Arc id 29891) You and the Meteors track the remnants of the Arachnos faction as they become more desperate and more dangerous, and discover you are not alone in this secret war. Darkest Before Dawn: Part Two (Arc id 30210) The faction's plan is put in motion and all of Paragon is in danger. With time running out what can you do except fight until your last? Darkest Before Dawn: Part Three (Arc id 30560) The birds are coming home to roost and old truths and secrets will out, while new secrets threaten the future in ways you had not imagined. So if you fancy a longer story that could pass for mid level canon in a dim light, enjoy! I had a lot of fun writing it. I also had a lot of frustration with the AE tool limits but that's also part of the fun.
  10. Cue Muttley style grumbling. Then again I challenge people to play the first mission in @Peacock's "The Reports of my Death Are Entirely Accurate" for an example of an extreme timer! Great arc though!
  11. Welcome back! Good to see them continuing. And as said on the other thread, we get it. Thanks.
  12. That would have made a very short arc! Then again, I remember the people just moving stats about in Fantasy Football, so SOMEONE might play it.
  13. Oh, he's got those sorts of offices too! Nyx-Astrea (she has some cool AEs too, as well as snagging a Dev's Choice) went through it with a Warshade. Seems the lawyers are great to feed on while fighting the actual combatants!
  14. You load that mission up on +8 and tab target, you can get rather confused!
  15. Maybe not! I'll have to look at that. It didn't cause any gameplay issues?
  16. Well, @Zhym did mention that you might run into an image number/size issue!
  17. And here's MY pic of the Meteors, just by themselves of course. I have this posted in a screenshots thread somewhere else on the forum too but this is a better home.
  18. Hi all. I'm going to address a few of @Zhym's questions/critiques here if that's ok. I know both @cranebump and @Ankylosaur have played through the entire thing too, so it might enlighten them as well. I do have a bunch of notes for a Season 2, as you call it. Though I tend to see it as Season 4! And I let it slip because of two things really, (1) I got engrossed in the Praetorian arcs (And I'm someone who has a level 50 Gold as one of my mains so I LOVE Praetoria), and (2) chatting to the Devs way back there were some updates to the AE that were being worked on that I was going to use for another pass through Dark Deeds to really tighten up the story. Those haven't appeared yet I think due to the fact that the AE code is jankily delicate and the additions broke something ELSE, so they had to restart all that. On screen captions was one of the things I was told about. You know, that's a complete oversight! I don't even know if you CAN increase their perception without adding a drone or something. I'll look at that. My new pass was going to address stuff like that. Though there aren't as many clones/doubles as you think! A little list: Blue Spectrum was cloned AND doubled. So, we have the HERO Blue Spectrum, who mentored the Meteors SG. check. We have the Blue Spectrum double who appeared in the past thanks to the Galaxy City meteor attack and was converted to Arachnos through brain washing. THIS Blue Spectrum gets cloned to make the Spectra. I really wanted a way to exploit the Galaxy City tutorial while preserving the duality of it, ie he is saved AND killed. The Weaver is dead. Dead dead dead. And never came back from the dead. Any Weavers you meet are different guys wearing the suit. Richter is who he is. There's a finite number of him and the guy in a suit thing is there to reflect that. Yeah, @cranebump has poked me about this before! And I think after @TerroirNoir's playthrough I'll definitely add in proper souvenir text. Condensing it is tricky though! Yep. Getting a sample from THAT guy would be nigh impossible! Drea the Hook? Oh, such a stupid problem, LOL. I literally could not build him in the AE character creator! There's a few attempts still stored in my files but at most they look a bit like him. And it's not like Thunderclap, where you can build him like Marvel or DC, and acknowledge that the page to screen thing has to be accounted for. The parts to make that NPC properly aren't there. So Drea got a stand in. What the Weavers are talking about? Yeah. Plenty of flavor but mostly set up for later. Plus a further mechanical reason for the several fights. Right now it is impossible in the AE to fight a boss, defeat them and THEN have a chat with them, as can be done with an in game mission. I'd already attempted a version of this with Blue Spectrum's "Running away fight" back in one of the law offices. I didn't want to repeat that, and the faceless replaceable nature of the Weavers let me do it. And also, I too am enjoying Engineria stumbling her way through the arcs (though I confess I'm also avidly reading her journey through @Ankylosaur and @cranebump's stuff, since having played most of those I'm on her level there). Thanks again @TerroirNoir. So, to sum up. At some point there WILL be a Director's Cut of the entire thing, whenever the AE stuff gets properly added. In the meantime I'll go back to trying to compose souvenirs for at least the end of each arc so that they stack into a full recap.
  19. Ha ha, @Ankylosaur! Engineria is staggering between arcs and missions!
  20. @TerroirNoir, if you go to the exact spot this drydock is found at in Port Oakes and look south, you will find a submarine 🙂
  21. The eyes are Death Goggles with the Fireflies aura for the eyes. (Demise is the face covering) Weirdly, the newer costume doesn't seem to have loaded for @TerroirNoir's foray into the RWZ. I'll need to look at that.
