  1. Also as times go down I think HP regen tick for the pylon has a bigger and bigger effect. A tick comes every 15 seconds and for a 30k HP pylon each healing tick is like 1.5k HP. I was stuck in a bit of rut at around the 1.10 mark because every time I got close to a kill the tick would happen and add a few seconds on and the kill times wouldn't change. But once I got enough DPS to beat the tick suddenly I gained several seconds. There are definate breakpoints on the pylons.
  2. I think the more proc heavy you go the more your results can vary. Especially as you get to lower times. The difference between in a low proc rate versus a high proc rate in 1-2 min time region is massive.

  4. What kills it is you the DPA of Poisonous Ray. While I does give a -res debuff (which is reduced by 50%) it does not do much else beside it. So it costs you the ability to cast something else and is only support itself. It's the same reason why I don't use Psionic Tornado on ST. The pets just die too much on Pylon unfortunately. Mu and Soul Mastery are the exceptions cause they stay ranged. | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1550;746;1492;HEX;| |78DA65944B4F535110C7CF6D6F2D7D41B12DEF424BC1524A4B2BA84B0C150D064C1| |35C8AE55A0A6DD2F6923E222C5DF805308695467C808FC48D46DCFA0DD4A831D18D| |D1C49582E2BECEBDFF019AF406F23B67CEFC67E6CC39A7B3ABE7ECCF2FDC9810923| |39157CAE554422D564A6A3E9F29992F29956A49C90BFADC97B319DF6429575CCE94| |7CEA922F9155D4B299160247FE07D2E8743E5F2DE7D4E281A1AFCE67B2BAB4149DA| |BA8A5426AAE5A28A8450A29EC499564736A299D29ADD9F4C9F97C6E395BB1626125| |935974C0AC5949E29E5AC9A5A3492D4B2E9D9A55CA155276503D61FABF2709FE6A2| |6316D10222E0B43410215A257164D23467DDE14D268112353982F1C690DE23A695D| |B290D7C0D02AB8493E12C797AE20FEB105660AB4CE83CD5779AE80EB834218A1351| |A37859E5BBE03DAEF326FC2D7420D36E9896AC2E491F4B55BA437432F99BFC0AFEB| |2B9826170BFC0D16F66F73821D2EB09FC436F848B630F235EB94C56D8AEDE0DA1CD| |FD197DE9FE8CBC00FCC233BB23E5FA4182DF0955BCE20BFF334F39441F7ED1A037D| |E3E023D2B472DF5A77E17BFC2F731F74FF619E85A62DC1E74775BBA015AE1A7DC24| |8160F77C7731255CA646B87CDD4DE8C13EF6D615A419F0DF4DBC19003DC22747275| |9DCF10AFE729731BF43FE16E6C81C1C7E003D2767375DD1EC4BBAF5D34EEA6F7834| |1BF75239F999FC0C847709B7CFB3877DF1E76ECE3CEF8FF8101EECC0077EA047770| |99B4FDACEDFF867A02FBE8DEF0041878839B1BE49B35ECC52966493BC8DAC138C78| |D3123D006A398874659ABC570CBE22DA51AE29B38C43729C27B7F476B613E9BB076| |205E8B784FB628E78ABEC08D1B7DC97C0DC65F3177985CEF430A11E37831BED93DF| |2E14BA53FED46689BC2C3ACD5861B56630D96788365ACC132DE6099A9B744506752| |3EFC451012BF268BF3F0A5D7E6AD5A973056EAC6D7EAC6BF682CF11EA50062EC1ED| |924C94FD182B2E8B828E9FC5DEF3F04FFBD7AFF0DF46E741DE798ACCB35434F29CE| |E38DBAF17FB5BBFC4A| |-------------------------------------------------------------------| Currently testing Enflame. Very high DPA plus applies Devestation -res proc (which does not get resisted). Kudos to bopper for his help. 72 and 71 so far. Rotation is FR, Tornado, Enflame, LS with Blind and AB to fill in the gaps. If I feel i can squeeze in an extra Blind or AB (even if it costs me 1/2 second delay) I do it. At this point it a bit luck based. Just did 2 more tests: 74 on the first. 65 on the second. What was the difference? Managed to get a few lucky procs and killed it before the Pylon had a 'regen tick' at about 67-68. The first I got a little unlucky. But ill take the 65 seconds for 717 DPS even if it was a lucky run. So how much do you 'fish' for the perfect runs? The perfect run would be with lucky proc chance, ignore the resummoning of PA at 60 seconds (saving 3 seconds of casting) and just eat the hits and burn it down. Risking your life for pylon glory.
  5. Damn you! Where am I going to find slots for this!?
  6. When you say 1 to 2 more procs is that with several procs in the power or just 1? I am thinking of it as a continual -res applier so I am looking at single proc uptime.
  7. Enflame is one of the most unusual powers in the game. 90 secon CD with a 5 second duration for each 'Flame pet' It summons 6 flame pets over the course of its duration. Each 'Flame pet' drops a damage pets every 0.5 seconds and over 5 seconds drops 5 patches. The total base damage of each Pet is around 46 damage on up to 5 targets. 276 base damage over the course of the ability. Since they are pseudo pets charge should not affect there proc rates. Target AoE IO set access. Seems to have decent proc rates, might be a good -res Devestation applier. Hmmm some testing required.
  8. From my hazy memory the best set from proc while having good damage themselves was Thug. Bruiser can use both KB Smashing and Chance for Build Up. Enforcers can do both -Heel Proc and Lady Grey (though free slots may be an issue). The T1 pets can get some benefit from KB Smashing but the Arsonist does his own thing so you can't help him. Possibly put the Chance of Build up here because all 3 pets benefit (Arsonist is good AoE too) and slots might be tight for Bruiser. You have Gang War to take all the defence procs.
  9. I start with him but after he dies I don't bother. I find in harder content I just don't bother. He has no real resistances or defences and just dies way too easily. It's why not having the smashing damage proc in it is no real big deal.
  10. There is a discussion on the proc rates of pseudo pets like Tornado on the Troller forum. It varies on a cast by case basis but Tornado might actually have quite a good proc rate. Something like 50% with 3 proc attempts per Tornado (Initial then 10 sec and 20 sec). But lets take your numbers and work with them. I can keep 2 Tornado up at a time with my recharge. So that 1.8 is now 3.6 which also has a massive DPA itself and only needs 1.3 activation time every 15 leaving plenty of time to use other powers. You used 10 castings of Aqua Bolt for less damage and Heel procs then my 4 castings on Tornado. Who is the real winner here? I used to like Explosive Strike in Phantom but his AI is bugged (has melee preferred preset) at the moment and he loves charging into melee and almost always dies in fairly short order. He is a bit of a liability at the moment honestly. Thugs has easy slotting: Almost all of the Enforcers attack do -def and there are 2 of them. Brute loves KB and Chance for Build ain't bad on him either.
  11. But each power only has 6 slots. Yes slots are limited but you can only gain so much power out of self activated powers because you can only use one power at a time. For all their impefections pets allow you to get more done per second. This is especially true now that more attacks are becoming available to MM. A MM with Heat Mastery has got access to some very good proc enablers which they have plenty of free time to use.
  12. For builds that lack attacks it is. My preferred slotting is Thunder Strike Acc/Dam, Acc/Dam/End, Dam/End, Gladiator Toxic Proc, Explosive Strike Proc, Force Feedback +recharge proc. You can boost the 3 Thudnerstrikes to +5 if your a feeling rich. I take no recharge since that sort of defeats the purpose of putting procs in there. Especially if you have a lot of global recharge.
  13. Interesting that would explain a lot. Makes sense too since its a perma passive its effect can't be too amazing.
  14. You are a champ Orbitus 73 sec pylon kill (653 DPS) on my troller. I did a slight edit on the Arcane Bolt IOs for better proc chance and more damage. The build is in the pylon thread.
  15. The point is is that those procs in MMs pets don't take up any of YOUR casting time. As you pointed out self cast chains are often interuptted by other things. Pets do not have that issue. As a MM you can do an 'optimal' rotation while the pets contribute on their own. As for some procs work better with some powers then others is that any different from any other archetype? Pets are not that complicated you can see all their powers in Mids. I see all your rotations but to me it just shows the limit of self cast when it comes to procs. Your personal casting is limited. If you truely want to abuse procs you need to get to layering. I almost exclusively use priority because I suits my playstyle and Coh's playspeed better.
  16. Speaking of proc monster I have to thank Orbitus for his help with my Ill/Storm Troller. Replaced my Cardiac with Muscle, got my T4 degen and souped up my build big time. 17. The basic limitation of any power that uses procs is that it is designed to proc only a certain amount of times a minute. So how do you generate more procs in the same amount of time? For me the key idea to keep in mind to maximise procs (and this applies to all classes) is the idea of multiple layers of time. There are two ways to layer time: 1) Either concurrent applications 2) Concurrent cooldowns For 1) the poster child would be MMs. With the right pets and slotting that can effectively have 7 different channels (6 pets + player) for applying chances to proc. So for every 1 minute of 'real' time the MM has had 7 minutes of 'proccing' time. For 2) It's usually support/epic power sets that either contain pets, pseudo pets or mid range cooldown (20-30 second) powers that can be cycled so that multiple powers are recharge at the same time effectively increasing how much time you have every minute. For example if you have a lot of global recharge and have 3x 60 second cooldown powers full of procs that you cycle every 20 seconds then every minute of 'real' time you have effectively had 10 minutes of 'proc' time (1 minute of self casting plus 3x 60 secs). Storm and Time are obvious candidates. While you self casting is an important source of procs you are limited by the fact that there is only so much casting you personally can do. If you want more procs you will need additional layers.
  18. Can we have the option to collate multiple damage numbers into one number? I have no idea how complicated this is coding wise but I have an idea for cleaning up visual clutter from the damage numbers above enemies heads. I usually play Controllers and have my ST Hold with 5 damage procs. If I attack a enemy under Containment I can see: Initial damage hit Containment hit 5 x damage procs Interface hit That's 8 damage numbers potentially from 1 attack. Basically I have no real idea of how hard I hit the enemy I just hit them for 'orange clump.' If this was just one number it would be a lot more readable, I can check the combat log if I want a more detailed breakdown.
  19. Honestly I really don't find it that much of an issue. Maybe on few AVs that scoot around but for everything else between constant KD, enemy attack animations locking them in place and FR it gets the job done. Enemies run from just about everything nowadays: debuff toggles, burn patches, etc and few groups seem to have Controllers/Doms who are willing to use their AoE Immo anyway or at least use it effectively. You get by especially since a lot of the popular endgame content is in indoor or space restricted areas with fearless bosses: BAF, Lambda, Tin Man, Apex, Market Crash, ITF, LGTF, Hami, MSR, etc. Would I like a ST Immo for AVs? Sure but I can live without till the Utility Belt power pool comes out.
  20. It almost feels like Interface proc rates are subject to PPM. Of course that does not explain the DoT only ticking for 1-2 ticks and not for 5.
  21. Already altered slightly since you were over the 5 lotg cap (had 6). Easy enough to move to Fly and Hover BotZ slots and delete lotg in Weave to make a second 6 x Red Fortune. Same end cost but more def, resistance, damage (2%) and global recharge. Changed Tornado slotting for near identical end cost but slightly more damage and much more recharge. Some sneaky slotting on Mind over body for more resist and less cost. | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1534;725;1450;HEX;| |78DA65944B4F534114C767DA5B6B5F3CA4BC84D29682D002A515D49D182A1A0C982| |6B814CBB514DAE4B697DCB6892E5DF805D8B8F5C9D3B8F1B5F61BA851E3C28D1F40| |41705FCFBDFF0334F606F29B3973FEE79C3933D3F97B57BDAFAE3F9812B225A5A9E| |57226A5972A86AE6939C37953AD540D5513F4F96FE573A169A3505ACD19217D2594| |CAAB7AD9490B9113FF23697C56D3AAE5825E3A3204EB7CA6AB2B2BF1858A6E14330| |BD562512F5148E14DEB245BD08D6CCEB8EFB126D7B4C26ABEE2C6C25A2EB7EC83D9| |B492C43FB356C8C6D36696423633AF962BA4ECA27A62F4FF580AFE6A0E316B1322A| |9085B51822A31A00865C66ECDA3A3E068D4A44B2C9D68E98F3EF1842C92A3C9DB88| |766A899901DD8B60D31D9EABE0FAA01076D6DA5F2A964DD902BD3BE0E96DE62EDB1| |F42EBA2F63A242A71B4A37A0FD99C5C9DF307FCB2B4E4829FC3E5865F8707ECF282| |677DCC2630D40CF653300FB4D23322AC0E345954C473B2FB38BF8FF32F139A915F6| |9BE84FC2D1799176C96BE6F121C98005F90A6957BD0BA07DF3307C421E221E6FE3F| |CC2BD074A43097545F1BEFB7CD3A0D3B59DAB9AAF6F3383B856C9DDC814EDE611FE| |FB08F3B12E28E84B92351EEC806A19BABEBDE45BCDE1DE62618DE060736C0A12DF0| |19697BB8BA1EEED053F37AC1660F7CB159776DF43BF31B38F615DC24DF20E70EEE6| |3C7A10330FC178C706706B853E7B883ABA4ED676DFF4FD4133944F7625360E403B1| |8DEAE51B150BE086E5493BC8DAC124C74D30C7A01D8A631E1D67AD19C3AF888F946| |A185A39CC37668CF7FE89D646F8368D980712A0B5CB3475DAC5675A8B73CEF86BDC| |B0F137CCB760F21DF33D93EB161D4224B8CF09CED5ABFCFF4ECDCDE1A1D66AB186D| |5448325D9609968B04C3658E61A2C69E5F8F741487E3BAE96E3775F5B749BFDC058| |AD1BDFAD1BFFA2B1E45B2D2388B1776293326CB7DE4BD70D69F177BDFF30FCF7EBF| |D1FA173E3EB38CD745DAE397A50491EFF03F8FCFBAC| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|

ST is a pretty basic rotation of weaving Arcane Bolt and Blind in between Storm Casts. Even with T4 Ageless and T3 Cardiac end can get a bit tight if I drop all my AoEs in arow. Hopefully T4 Cardiac will finally put that to bed. Recharge is at least 10% higher then that due to Ageless. Basically yes I have a rotations but its mainly support and helping enable of Storm powers. It won't reach full power till Utility Belt pool comes out with its fast casting ST Immo (that also has KD) and a surprising good ST Dagger power that is like Spectral Wounds but no heal back and full Containment damage.
  24. That's actually a decent idea. Even the ST hold can do something similiar. It definately favours Fire with its fast cast times though.
  25. Well farming is basically about AoE. So you need sets that AoE. Bots have good AoE but only the Assault Bot so you are a bit limited by his 2 x 16s AoE cooldowns. Thugs and Demons are on the next line. Both their T3 pets have limited AoE, Bruiser has Footstomp while the Prince has two cold PBAoEs. Both sets of Lts have a good range of selections with multiple AoEs each. On minions Thugs win out because of Arsonist but he is rather suicidal. It's up to you which you go. Thugs go well with defence based secondaries (FF, Traps, Dark, etc) while Demons are good with resist based ones (Thermal, Sonic).
