My Mids was actually bugged at the time I made that comment unfortunately (which when I made the build) it was only 64% S/L resist plus other resists are a little lower I have linked it earlier and in the Demon/Storm discussion thread. Although I had a bit of a idea last night that's been bubbling around a while which loses a bit of res and switches around the defences for something new. So keep on mind that the builds you see might already be out of date. *edit* Yeah while its a good build its only my Mk2 now. I have the Mk3 build ready but needs the new IO sets to be released on live. Should hopefully be in the next few patches. OMG! I didn't check they are out just not on Mids so I assumed they were not out yet. Okay creating Mark 3.
  2. Honestly thinking it through more you may have swayed me on Tactics. On my Thugs/Storm it was not an issue since Thugs have higher base accuracy and Enforcers have Tactics and -Def debuffs. On Demons though they don't have that high inbuilt base hit chance. Honestly I might cut Burnout simply because I use it so rarely (9min CD plus the end penalty make it awkward to use) and missing is something I am noticing now and is something I am worried about in the future. I could then drop Super Speed as my travel power (which I hate) and use Ninja Run (while slower is actually far more easier to use) and combine it with Sprint with Stealth IO for when I want PvE stealth.
  3. But no set bonus. Franken slotting tends to be only done with 1 or 2 powers anyway.
  4. A speed boost to pets won't do much since players are in general so much faster now. Though I wouldn't complain if it were to happen. What they need to do is shorten the distance between they pop in next to you. I have zoomed through a level expecting my pets to pop up behind me only to wait 20+ seconds for them to catch up. In addition do they really need a summoning animation when they pop back? Many times after they have popped back in behind you you still have to wait several seconds for them to go through the summoning animations. Demons are in particular very bad at this with their slow summoning time.
  5. Honestly if it bothers you putting in Tactics is fine. For me if all that -Def stacking is not enough you just have to wonder if your pets did hit how much damage they are doing at +3 and +4. You could make a case for T2 but for T1s the only one I care about is the Hellfire because he debuffs. My philosphy is that T1s are only a small part of my overall DPS just how much am I willing to give up to give 15-20% of my damage (at most) a 5% boost?
  6. Sorry I am an idiot was looking at the Hold instead of the Immo. My bad. As for the missing part, that's part of the stacking. Each Tornado has -15% defence. Plus I am using Radial Musculature Alpha which gives me a 33% enchancement to that. So that's -20% def per Tornado and -47% Def per Freezing Rain. Even with AV resists that's alot of -Def. As for what I could improve on: its all the small tweaks you can do to eak out a little more performance. It has more recharge, defence, resist with better proc slotting, etc. 1% here, 1% there it adds up. I tweaked my Demon/Cold so much it corrupted the build in Mids and I had to rebuild it from scratch (which I could do with perfect clarity purely from memory). I could probably do the same thing for Demon/Storm if I just sat down for hours tweaking and tweaking. Maybe I will after I finish my Demon/Cold. Feel free to take any thing you want from it. It's probably the best build I have ever made.
  7. I have almost completely abandoned my Thugs/Storm for Demons/Cold but I can still see some things. I take it you have The AoE Immo to keep things in the Tornado The problem is the duration is only 15 seconds with an 11 second cooldown. So double stacking it to beat an AV CCs resist (3) is hard or for EBs (6) impossible. If they are higher level then you your duration will be penalized making actually Immobilizing hard targets almost impossible. Lightning Storm does not need KB to KD. The Lightning Bolt only has a Mag 1 KB. They are not going to send targets flying across the screen. Needs much more Recharge and Endurance reduction. Both your other key powers could do with more recharge and in the case of Freezing Rain some end cost reduction. The power of /Storm is that you can stack it's 3 big powers: LS, Tornado and Rain. Double even triple stack them. You build does not have the recharge to get a full double stack and even if you did your End bar would not be able to handle it.   8. Indeed. Hence why my Demon/Cold MM is running around with 75% resist to S/L/C/F with 66% res against Toxic while also being S/L/E def softcapped. The Demons themslves have 80% S/L, 90% F/C, ~70% E/T res with decent res against the rest while having 43%+ def against positionals. Thats with Burnout and 2 spammable proc filled AoEs. Honestly it makes my Thugs/Storm look like a total joke. I love it.
  9. Just something I am wondering about. There are a rare few procs that are not PPM with Overwhelming Force 20% chance to KD being the most universal. So I am wondering how this proc would go in an aura? Would a aura with a 10 second activation period give a 20% proc chance for each target in it's area of effect?
  10. Well some of my MM builds do throw out 2 AoEs at the start of every fight... Of course I am hooked up to Ageless or Heat loss like some sort of junkie.
  11. The key to solving End issues with MMs isn't with the End procs. Sure they help a little but our End issues come from having extremely expensive Powers. If you are spamming that MM AoE that most primaries get that is 18-19 End every 5-8 seconds or so (depending on recharge). A Miracle +recovery generates 0.25 a second (or 1 End every 4 seconds). It pretty obvious that Passive procs are nowhere near enough to sustain you. What you need is End slotting in those expensive attacks. Even on my Heat Loss or Ageless builds I still need to have significant End reduction slotted into my major attacks.
  12. The summoning speed issue also varies a lot between primaries. The summoning speed for Thugs has never been an issue for me. Three quick whistles and your up and going. Compared that to Demon Summoning which is extremely slow. I honestly feel that summoning Demons takes 2 to 3 times longer then Thugs.
  13. As a player who like to push archetypes to their limit yes the end costs are a pain but an understandable one. While it is annoying to be pigeon holed into Ageless or /Cold (Heat Loss) to manage end issues MMs highend output is so stupidly high you need to at least have a token mechanic to try and reign them in. Basically I would prefer to fly under the rader and let other players think that end issues are somehow balancing MMs.
  14. Wow how unfortunate. Luckily even if you can't Powerboost /Cold Shields the Demons still have 43.4% minimum positional defence (depending on how long Barrier has been up for) so they are still pretty safe. Just free's up Powerboost for something else. Okay old habit's die hard. Always like having some decent attacks on the MM (otherwise you have nothing to do) and it would be a shame to leave the Heat Loss end regen to waste. The extra recharge from the procs should be more then enough to make Benumb and Heat Loss perma. Throw in damage procs in AoEs because why not? Having a AoE (even with a small range) that has -res innate, -res proc, 2 x damage proc and a +recharge is pretty solid.

  16. TW/Bio 9 second pylon kills eh? Lets see it. That Lore pet isn't there for the damage it's there for the -res debuff. It got off like 2 attacks.
  17. Eh not so sure. The -res stacking is extreme. Remember the more -res you stack the more powerful each -res gets since resistance is not only resistance to damage of a certain type its also resistance to resistance debuffs of the same damage type. So someone with 50% S/L will resist 50% of S/L resistance debuffs. But that also applies in reverse. If someone in negative resistances then further debuffs of that type have a greater effect so if a target -50% S/L resist then further S/L resistances debuffs would be 50% stronger. A Pylon has 20% damage resistance. This guy is stacking 2 x 30%, 2 x 24%, 1 x 20%, 1 x 9.3% plus pets (60%+ there). He should be spiking at well over 200% -resistance. That is plain inhuman. I know for a fact my Thugs/Storm would not be able to do that in the same situation. It cannot spike -resistance anywhere near as high and Tornado and Lightning Storm take time to do the damage. I am probably looking at 30-40 second kill at best. Good party buffs too (End recovery +40% to all Pos Def and -res/def debuffs) and thematically consistant.
  18. Speedrunner using a Demon/Cold to drop a Pylon in 9 seconds: Impressive. Yes he is using a Lore Pet and other consumables but I suspect even without them his time would still be sub 20 seconds. Basically he uses Burn Out to double stack Sleet and Heat Loss for massive -res to burst targets down. Actually has some defensive value too since Shields gives Positional defence and resists. Thinking of a build that stacks Leadership, Ice Shield, Arctic Fog, Pet uniques (+10%) and Barrier (Heat Loss means you don't need Ageless) to get around 42-43% positional defence and probably 80% S/L resist and capped Cold, Fire resist. -37% damage, mez debuff and -regen from Benumb makes AVs a joke. Possibilities.
  19. For me it would be Demons/Time. If you go Barrier you could have pets that are 40%+ Def all (50% for half of Barrier duration) while having like 80% resist. Combine that with the general -resist of Demons and you are looking at one tanky customer that does some pretty damn good damage.   20. Honestly something with /Traps is nice simply for Force Field Generator 15%+ Def to the whole team plus mez protection is probably going to do more then any other team buff. Combine it with a Primary that does debuffs (either -res, -def or -hit) and you will contribute more to the group then pretty much anyone.
  21. I actually have my -res procs in Tornado and the /Mace AoE. In my Thug attack (Dual wield) I have no slotted recharge and use it just to proc FF +recharge. Since even with the low chance to proc it only needs to proc once a minute to be worthwhile. Have no room for Will Power pool. I remember Frosticus' video where he showed his attempt with Demons/Storm on the Pylon. He actually engaged first with himself and tanked all the pylons attacks while his pets came in later. Obviously because due the pylon knockback Demons could not do it themselves. How practical is that to do in regular play I have my doubts about. Everytime you fight Longbow are you going to intercept all the Frag Grenades? When fighting Carnival are you going to agro all the Master Ilusionists to protect your henchmen from Flash (bad idea)? When fighting Malta are you going to tank the Flash Grenades (extremely bad idea)?
  22. I have gotten lazy. My build is complete now but there is a ban on gameplay videos in Homecoming. From my tests so far my MM is miles ahead of my Troller. Sub 1 min easy. Plus does not exploit the stationary and auto Containment damage nature of the pylon.
  23. I find it difficult to fit a lot of those MM attacks in power wise. Things are pretty tight slot wise for MMs as well. I only uses 1 MM attack and its for +Recharge proc fishing anyway. Again you need your pets alive and attacking for you to gain that -res benefit. The difference between softcap def and 20 or so defence is massive. While accuracy ups the odds slighty def softcap means roughly 95% of attacks miss. That means even T1 pets are fairly safe up to +2 (+3 if you have Alpha). In Incarnate content they get boosted to your level anyway. 20% defence is far weaker you are probably looking at around 40% of attacks missing at best. Your T1 and T2 will die on a fairly regular basis. To me Thugs/Storm syncs to together so much better then Demons/Storm. Demons work much better with Sonic, Thermal and Time (super tanky pets!). For pure DPS maybe Demons/Storm has a theoretical edge but in practise it is difficult for it to live up to it.
  24. Considering MMs are probably the highest DPS AT already I have no problem with the lowering the proc chance for MM henchmen if the buff actually worked properly for pets. Simply put now I just don't even bother worrying about whether my pets get the buff simply because its too much hassle. Its rare for me to be in one zone long enough for me to: 1. Use buff 2. Resummon pets during buff 3. Wait for CD 4. Use buff again at appropriate time while having zero pet deaths in the meantime. So any nerf would be a buff to me if it actually worked properly.
  25. That's what I mean. MM pets do not benefit from recharge in anyway. While the hit from KB much be larger they won't get another hit like that for 25 seconds.
