  1. I didn’t argue it wasn’t powerful without power boost. Just that it was absurdly powerful with. It will remain very powerful without, plus I look forward to justifying different epic pools lol.
  2. Doesn’t reflect my experience at all either. Seems more like someone is having trouble playing blasters with the ease they can now be played.
  3. Right, but no other AT gets such a thing so consistently across all sets. Blasters should be very grateful 🙂
  4. Yeah I’m not remotely worried about my time/water or fire/time feeling underpowered, so the potential change seems fair to me.
  5. The ease with which Time plus power boost currently perma-soft caps defense with few to no toggles and then has the vast majority of the remaining build to slot for offense makes it pretty incredibly powerful and easymode right now IMO.
  6. Also, RE: blaster toggles, can we not understate the value of every secondary getting a very potent free recovery toggle? Not only is that highly valuable on its own, but far greater independence from Ageless Core can create an opening for using a Destiny power that further increases survivability.
  7. Of all the trick arrow feedback they’ve received, I think a need for a consistent -regen source is surely one of the most consistent requests, so hopefully that.
  8. Are you... closing in on 88 level 50 dominators or something?
  9. Not sure blasters statistically dying more often than, say, armored melee characters or hardly-attacking buffers proves much of anything. Do you think tankers should be dying more? Anyway, being squishier than other AT’s still doesn’t make one particularly squishy in a game like this. Blasters were easy to play if you knew what you were doing.
  10. People claiming that certain AT’s/sets were/are somehow unplayable as a result of squishiness (not referring to this in particular - past convos ring a bell too) really does nothing but raise the eyebrows of those of us who have been playing them just fine all along.
  11. I didn’t ask him to verify that mental was popular. I asked him to verify that blasters were otherwise unpopular. Which they weren’t unless someone has data?
  12. Can you support this statement with data? It seems contrary to the reality I remember.
  13. Unfortunately it’s a minority opinion.
  14. Definitely just your opinion 🙂 In some parts of the game this is just City of Blasters now. Everlasting tourney on Saturday I’m looking at you.
  15. There seem to be a few posters that think that if their own personal design preference is not followed exactly, that no player feedback was ever requested or listened to.
  16. Can you elaborate on what you know?
  17. I would assume it might have more to do with how insanely powerful the recov/absorb toggles are, AoE controls being better than controller/dominator versions in some ways, how widely tactical arrow is talked about like it's trick arrow but better, etc. Blasters are in an insanely good place and I can't imagine them being on the "needing buffs" end of the balance spectrum.
  18. Any chance you can post the rankings by points so we know how us losers did relatively speaking?
  19. I think we see formats that involve elimination more often than not. After reading the rules, I see it’ll be interesting getting to fight and lose 5 whole matches. Will need aloe after all that.
  20. Admittedly I don’t need super high quality PvP right now. I used to duel Deathvirus a lot and it tends to just make me want training wheels after I’m out of greens in 5 minutes.
  21. Yeah i13 has to be the #1 culprit. I remember being able to find a fair amount of PvP on Triumph of all places before that. Afterwards it become pretty exclusive to Freedom, which ultimately morphed into Indomitable.
  22. I want what’s currently just impossible per macskull. Just an ounce of PvP on other servers (think the everlasting event coming up is a good sign but it’ll probably be overrun by the same indom folks anyway). For a singular discord server to stop being cited as the one true gate to PvP enlightenment. Other zones being used wouldn’t hurt. The problem with this is (1) it’s nigh impossible due to population issues and (2) due to the current community unfortunately having to accept (1) without question, no one is even bothering to try. I agree with PvP’ers that (1) they aren’t all toxic and (2) other games have toxic players too. Where my issue is is that due to these problems, in this game exclusively, our current choice is to either engage in one very specific way with a pre determined set of people or to not engage at all. Not trying to be impossible, but the state of things is just that.
  23. It is a natural result of real issues, yes, but doesn’t change the fact that it’s a problem. On live I would say it was wayyy better pre-i13. Post i13 it wasn’t much better than this though.
  24. I just want PvP decentralized. No other PvP game I’ve ever played forces every participant into a singular community if they want any chance of a reasonable amount of action.
  25. Not your job, no. Just asking you to imagine that maybe it’s not *entirely* the “victim” who’s to blame across the board. I don’t care much any more about the shit talking because I’m now better at just ignoring it. Though a community that typically acts like using one central voice chat server is all but mandatory just means I’m locked out of certain PvP if I want to continue to ignore it. Which is oh well.
