  1. You get one bonus in PvE and both in PvP.
  2. Considering we now know the OP didn’t know support characters could make influence per another thread, can we stop taking this thread seriously now.
  3. That’s consistent with the most basic design principles of the game. Primary > Secondary > Pools. So no, nothing to revisit in that regard.
  4. I made a Grav/Traps controller and now care deeply about this suggestion.
  5. I have a new toon that is typically running around with 30-35% defense (I don’t care about the soft-cap meta) and has aid self + field medic with the former slotted 4 numinas, 2 interrupts. I comfortably use aid self in melee with enough reliability that I often use it solely for the endurance *boost*. If I was remotely worried about having to spam it, which I’m not, I’d just cut LoS for half a second. Yeah, seeing no issues here.
  6. I will submit that the playstyle referred to as “old school” was definitely more prevalent than it is now. I am not sure it was as dramatically different as some people are implying though. I think it was extremely common for people to level up 50 #1 the “natural” way and then to take every alt thereafter immediately to Peregrine Island for some portal mission sitting. The trek to PI at level 1 was a little more risky than the trek to Atlas AE, and I think there’s been a slight uptick post-AE in the percentage of players that choose this playstyle. But I don’t think we agree on how dramatic the change has been.
  7. Not giving my opinion on the OP, but 10k is like 1-2 endgame minion kills, for reference....
  8. Double the tohit debuff on flash arrow, give a powerful -Regen to poison gas arrow, and maybe give disruption arrow a second effect and I reckon it’ll be just fine. Clickiness is a bit of a problem but it’s not the only set with that issue and that’s not going away without trashing the whole set. So I’ll live with that issue. Doesn’t need a heal. EDIT: In case it’s not clear: my position is that the set needs a solid perma-capable -regen more than anything else.
  9. Powers are balanced by effect (in damage set cases, by melee vs ranged, aoe vs s/t vs cone, long vs short recharge), AT modifiers, and whether or not the power appears in primary/secondary/epic/pool. Tier historically has very little to do with it. And shockwave isn’t exactly at the back of the pack as far as struggling T9’s are concerned.
  10. As far as I’m aware the magnitude/value of the core function is weaker in basically every case too. I’m not sure what is special about pets that the power needs to break that principle just for them.
  11. Power pool powers are weaker than comparable primary/secondary powers by design. I’m not against medicine being buffed in some way, but your specific proposal does not fit the game’s basic balance principles. For that reason, I’m out.
  12. I think it's pretty obviously on him for not knowing what powers do. Not a reason to change a good power IMO.
  13. 90 seconds x ( 1 / 1.576 ) = 57.11 seconds. Working as intended
  14. I was listening to Death in June's Rose Clouds of Holocaust and Dead Can Dance's Garden of the Arcane Delights a lot one month basically.
  15. We've already memorized this narrative of yours like the back of our hands, thanks. Still just your opinions.
  16. Nice necro. Good to know Bentley has been acting like PvP'ers are subhuman for a year or more lol.
  17. It’s obviously still something of a dilemma or else Bentley would have nobody to call a scumbag.
  18. Right, but that doesn’t change the fact that they’re going to need to pick one. Vilifying PvP’ers isn’t going to change the fact that that’s the badgers’ dilemma to solve.
  19. If your playstyle mandates you get all badges, and some badges require consenting to PvP... I’d recommend either buckling up or rethinking your playstyle.
  20. Yeah none of that is consistent with the GM’s definition of PvP. They’ve stated over and over that you consent to being a PvP target the moment you step into a PvP zone, read the dialogue box pop up, and choose to proceed in spite of the warning. We need to try to agree on basic definitions before just cutting right to insulting people.
  21. PvP is any use of powers by a player against another player target in a PvP area. The player’s target consented to said PvP when they entered the zone or arena match. This has been established over and over whether you were listening or not. And, again, I don’t know of anyone who *only* engages with people that don’t fight back. I suspect those people don’t exist. As far as I know, ganker is just a belittling slur for PvP’er that is typically used by people that resent being attackable in certain zones.
  22. Since launch I have never met a PvP’er who refused to target anyone but PvE’ers. I’ve met plenty that don’t discriminate at all when deciding who to PvP, but that’s obviously not a bad thing. Either way, none of it justifies calling your fellow players scumbags. And no the comment was not civil.
  23. Why don’t you really tell us what you think about PvP’ers instead of being so gracious and civil.
  24. I, ofc, have no data. Only general ideas of what things used to cost vs now. Just pointing out that we have no real means of doing the full calculation.
  25. I still don’t understand how the significantly reduced sale price of recipes is being accounted for in the income comparison analysis. Although, I do understand that’s effectively mitigated by the reduced purchase price of items you actually need. Thanks for giving us some real data though.
