If this is happening to other pets in other sets too? Then yeah, this is a bug and I ask that this thread be moved.

My test character is level 34. The Battle Drones are level 32 and the Protector Bots are level 33. The generic IO is level 30, so not above any of their enhancement level ranges.

That doesn't do anything. I checked. With 0 heal enhancements slotted in that power, my Protector Bots healed 158.96 HP to my Combat Drone. I slotted a level 30 generic IO, and they still healed 158.96 HP. Whatever the heal enhancements do in Upgrade Robot, it does not affect the Protector Bots' heal. That is something that was noted for quite some time. Pets only have their powers improved when they have enhancements slotted into the specific pet summon power. If that was changed and Upgrade Robot is supposed to affect the Protector Bots' heal ability, then this is a bug and I ask for the thread to be moved. Otherwise, I am asking to be able to enhance the Protector Bots' ability to heal.

This is something that should have been requested earlier. Protector Bots get a heal with their 2nd upgrade. However, they can't use any heal enhancements. My suggestion/request is to let them slot heal enhancements.

I'm not asking for the Maintenance Drone to go away or be replaced or be revamped. All I'm asking for is for the Protector Bots to also use their own heals. I'm surprised you've seen yours heal because as I already stated, I made a point of watching mine and they refuse to heal anything ever while I have the drone out. (Edit yet again: And that includes after a boss or EB used an AoE that rendered all my bots critically injured.) Edit: As for the Protector Bots' heals being meh? My guess is because they can't slot heal enhancements. (Edit again: At all, despite having a heal.) Allow them to slot heal sets and not only will they heal more, they will also likely recover more (because of set bonus). (Edit yet again continued: And yes, I would slot my Protector Bots for heals just like I do for defense right now. I'm not saying no one should use the Maintenance Drone. Though I am saying I won't use the Maintenance Drone. So I'm not following your argument very well.)

You run into color limitations on that. CoH only allows 2 colors per costume item, and skin is one of them for the with skin costume pieces. Costume pieces like the Imperial Dynasty set get away with a 3rd color because that 3rd color is locked in and cannot be changed.

Did a search for Unity but didn't see any entries for the Unity Plague, so am making this post. In the first mission for the Unity Plague from Jenny Firkins, the mission brief to accept the first mission says: "The Unity Plague A group of scientists are under attack by the Devouring Earth. They're doing critical work towards understanding and maybe even reversing the process that the creatures uses to convert people into their own kind. I need you to rescue those scientists from the Devouring Earth, <character name>. If we are ever to defeat the Devouring Earth forever, we cannot afford to lose these researchers." The statement "the creatures uses" should be "the creatures use".

Difference of opinion here. I prefer my Protector Bots to protect. I want them attacking as much as they can, but to me, their priority should always be to shield and heal. If the devs decide they should stay the way they are now? That's fine. I've finished respec'ing out of Maintenance Drone on my characters. It can just be a skippable power for me. (Though considering all the effort the devs put into making Repair, now Maintenance Drone, a desirable power, and now I find that it is more skippable than before the change, to be both sad and funny. And frustrating.) (Edit: Especially since their heal has a 30 second recharge and pet powers are not affected by our characters' global effects like recharge reduction. That's ample time for them to be throwing attacks between heals.)

Per City of Data, there is no delay. The effect applies 0.5 seconds into the 1.167 animation and is supposed to grant 100% global chance for the next 10 seconds. I found Fusion to pretty much only be good for the increased damage and ToHit. The Contamination mechanic for Radiation Melee itself seems to be unreliable at best. (Which, like you said, is a real bummer when you absolutely need that mechanic to work to heal.)

Well, f this is a bug and the Protector Bots should already still be using their heals even with the Maintenance Drone out? Then I will thank a GM for moving this thread to the Bugs forum. If however, this is not a bug? It is here already.

I can get that. I have no issues with PvP'ers defending their own from abuse, harrassment, or other unacceptable behavior from others. And I do understand that CoH has a rather good PvP community compared to other games I've tried. However, I have not cursed out a PvP'er for doing PvP in a PvP zone unless I already asked them to leave me alone and they agreed, only to gang up on my solo character again and kill me. I get PvP happens in PvP zones. I believe you and I specifically have had this conversation before on the forums. As well as @Glacier Peak and several others. If you want a list of the reasons why I absolutely loathe, detest, and abhor PvP? I can give it to you. And it wasn't for PvP'ers doing PvP. (Edit: At least not what I, as a PvE'er, would ever think of as being PvP.) And every time I brought up such activity to PvP'ers? The response was always the same. Some variation of suck it up, buttercup. Profanity from the victor to the loser? Accept it. Offensive actions like "teabagging"? Accept it. So yeah, while the PvP community may police their own? I sure as hell have never seen it. And I'm working myself into a rage, so stopping here. I get there will be PvP in a PvP zone. I understand just being in a PvP zone makes you PvP. I have no issues with any of that. (Any more. Lots of discussions had on that, that I really don't want to go through yet again.) I'm fine with there being PvP. I want the PvP'ers to have fun. I want everyone to feel welcome in the game. I just don't want PvP anywhere near the PvE zones/content. Not because someone thinks it may be fun (always a PvP'er). Not because someone thinks it might breathe new life into the game (also always a PvP'er). Not for any reason whatsoever. When done right? (Yes, a very subjective statement, I know. Unavoidable. Sorry.) PvP can actually be fun. I remember doing some valley PvP on WoW. (Don't ask me what it was, I don't remember.) It was frantic and it was fun. I've dueled PvP'ers 1 on 1 and even 2 on 1 in Siren's Call. It was fun. However, I can only deal with PvP in very, very, very small doses. And I sure as hell don't want to have to worry about whether or not there may be a PvP event in the zone I just logged in to or have to wonder why my Brute is being held, stunned, or immobilized by mobs that I have always been able to ignore before in a PvE zone on my mission assigned street sweep.

Then I have some troubleshooting to do, because they have disappeared from all of mine. Edit: And troubleshooting complete. Vidiotmaps had been disabled. How or why? I have no clue. I'll have to keep an eye on it, I guess.

Nothing overrides accumulation of Patrol XP. That is the one Day Job that is literally everywhere in the game and stacks with every other Day Job for gaining its benefits. (And as best I can remember, it has always been that way.) (Edit: So yes, you can park in Pocket D or the hospital or anywhere else you want, and you will earn Patrol XP alongside the Day Job reward you are parked at.) (Edit again: You can't even stop Patrol XP by turning off XP. It still accumulates no matter where you are and no matter what you do, it just waits to be used until you resume earning XP.) -
I'd say download and use vidiotmaps, but their maps seem to have had the faction notes removed. Also not displayed on the wiki either, so not sure how to help you. Sorry.

I understand that when I change between hero and villain alignments, the respective zones for the alignment I was get filled in. (I have no idea why, but I do get it.) However, I've been finding that even on characters that I haven't changed alignments on, zone maps still get filled in for the fog of war. This happens most often on characters I haven't played in a while, but it also happens occasionally to characters I've played in the past week.

May as well add horns to the Spectrum treatment mix as well.

I'd have to say this is probably the biggest thing for me. Very well stated. I've met some PvP'ers that I respected a lot. I've even done PvP against them and enjoyed it. However, more than 90% of my experience with PvP was what I would consider to be toxic behavior. And as even the PvP'ers I respected like to point out, it is all still valid PvP. It doesn't matter how toxic a PvE'er may think something in PvP is, the PvP community always circles the wagons around their fellow PvP'ers. (Don't get me started on examples please. I would rather not spend the day seething again.) Am I against PvP itself? No. I've actually enjoyed the occasional PvP against friends and even against some dedicated PvP'ers. Even in PvP zones. (Where I get soundly obliterated almost every time by the actual PvP'er, but at least it was an enjoyable match.) So if others want PvP? More power to them. Have at it. Enjoy. However, just as I am in favor of PvP'ers having their space to do what they enjoy? I want my space to do what I enjoy. So I will always oppose adding PvP to anything PvE. I'm not opposed to a new PvP environment that mimics the PvE environments and activities, just opposed to adding PvP to anything PvE we have.

I can't say that I've ever found filling the SBB to be an issue. (maybe one really slow night, but I think it ended up getting filled...) When I'm on one, it's pretty much always recruiting the Pocket D. When recruiting is slow, we throw out that you get a random Overwhelming Force Universal Damage enhancement at the end of the SBB. Can't say I've ever been that fortunate. Whether my friend does the recruiting or I do, we almost never even get a 3rd member. She's recruited in LFG, Everlasting TFs, and other channels. And after a half hour of no replies, we just do some random missions for the time we have left to play. I would say a little over 80% of the times we try to do a SBB, we can't for lack of just 2 more players. I'm not following this part. I have a friend that plays every Friday and Saturday. My other friends don't play very often because of RL. A SBB needs 4 players to do, and there are 2 of us trying to get others to join us to do it. So we have half the required team already before we start recruiting for it.

And my experience is trying to find a team to run a Summer Blockbuster is a pain in the keister. And I always have half the team out the gate when I try to get one going. Then look at the Halloween events and Winter events. Halfway through the events, with them not being available year round, it gets to be a pain to find enough people to do most anything in them. Edit: Except for Murder Motel Trick-or-Treating. Even at the end of the event, there is still often half a league there. (Edit again: No, I am not advocating for year round ToT'ing. Players can get their power leveling done in other venues.)

Back on Live, yes, there were devs that would log on and play with us. Usually, they would join someone's team. (It was weird when we had a dev join us and the first words he posted on team chat was "Sorry, I'm not familiar with playing, so please be understanding." He was still LOTS of fun to run around with, and wasn't as rusty as he was worried he was.) I've heard of but never seen devs spawning GMs, or even groups of GMs, but while I've heard the rumor it happened, I've never seen it done in this game. And even then, it was never the dev playing against the players, it was the dev spawning some serious opposition for the players to contend with. (I saw this on Firefall or whatever that game was where your character was every AT, just had to see an NPC to change it. [Edit: I've also seen it done on CO where a dev spawned the super shark I can't remember the name of. The shark wiped us out. All 40 of us at max level and working as a team with absolutely no problems.]) My points are: Firstly, PvE zones are not set up to handle PvP. For PvP to go active in a PvE zone, the PvP mechanics would be made active in the PvE zone. And whether players are involving themselves in the designated PvE zone PvP or not, every player in zone would be forced to be using PvP versions of their powers. Whereas the mobs would not be. (Just like in PvP zones.) Secondly, as presented, it would not matter if a specific player wanted to be involved in the PvP occurring in the PvE zone or not. A lot of healing characters will heal other players they see around in zone when they are hurt. So if a passing player or a player that logged on after the PvP event started saw a wounded PvP player and healed him/her/them/it, now that player as well as everyone else on their team/league would suddenly be PvP even if they had no intention of involving themselves in the PvP. And there would be absolutely no way of knowing if the character they went to heal was injured from nearby mobs or from PvP players they can't immediately notice. So even if a player wanted to avoid the PvP, as long as that player for any reason is not aware that the PvP is going on and the players they move to assist are engaging in PvP, they will find themselves now PvP active. As long as said missions were all instances and not in the PvE zone, that would be fine. Just like the arena. As has been said on another thread, it could be the Safeguard and Mayhem missions like others have been asking for. Just not the Safeguard or Mayhem missions. They would have to be dedicated PvP versions so players that want nothing to do with PvP can still do their Safeguard and Mayhem missions.

I don't think the scaling can be made to work that way. I'm not a dev, so I don't know for certain, but given the difficulties the engine has with things we normally consider simple to implement, I don't think it can be done. Now there is a spectacular idea. They would get all the level 54 mobs they want that way. And when the "zone" is cleared, they can just start over. -
I am. I spent several missions specifically watching my Protector Bots while I had the Maintenance Drone out and while I did not. There were several instances where my bots needed to be healed, but only the Maintenance Drone would do any healing. You can see when the Protector Bots or the Maintenance Drone use their respective heals. And as long as the Maintenance Drone was spawned, the Protector Bots adamantly refused to use their heals. For entire missions. (Edit: Protector Bots have a 30 second recharge on their Repair power. So when all my bots are heavily damaged and in dire need of repairs, the Protector Bots should be healing something approximately every 30 seconds as long as they have the END for it. And they don't for as long as the Maintenance Drone is spawned. Ever.) (Edit again: Also, the Protector Bots did not inherit Repair. They had their version of it since the set was launched.)

Then the bug is the opposite. Because while I was amazed that my Robotics/Traps MM retained the bots after logging off, stepping away to start lunch, and then logging back on, that is because normally when I do that, my pets are all gone. Unless I log off and then immediately log back on, when I log off and then don't do anything with the game for more than what seems a few seconds, all my pets go away. So that makes my question: is the pets being retained like they were today a bug, or is the pets going away after less time the bug?

Sure, I'm fine with getting male African lions as Beast Mastery pet models. All I'm saying is you can already have male lions.
