And you should see all the smiling faces when the morale enforcers come by! Not a frown in sight! Of course, morale enforcers have a tendency to disappear under mysterious circumstances for some reason, but the method works! Not sure why the peasants need scythes, torches, and pitchforks for office work, but the method works! πŸ˜„

  3. *shrug* Don't know. Personally, I think Vanguard works, but they are open to both sides. Introducing the FBSA in a more concrete way could open up access to hero patron pools. Since they seem to be the overarching organization blue side. Just using Freedom Corps for patrons would also work. They give the early training for heroes, just not the training the Freedom Phalanx/Vindicators give. So there are definitely options. I'm just saying it needs to be worked in.
  4. They do. Non-patron epic power pools are available to everyone regardless of side.
  5. If you take Scirocco as patron and play through his arcs, it shows he is not a villain. Even when he says that is the only fate left to him as he demonstrates at the end of his arcs. Then in the Dark Astoria incarnate arcs, Scirocco further progresses away from Arachnos' bonds. Even Ice Mistral shows a heroic, or at least selfless, side to herself in the incarnate arcs with Scirocco. I can't say for certain, but it does look like Scirocco and possibly Ice Mistral were going to go hero following their own NPC version of the alignment system. Though equally possible was Ice Mistral simply taking his place as an Arachnos patron. As for hero side patrons? Yeah, sorry, not gonna speak for the devs. Though to be frank? It makes less for heroes than villains. Red side, the entire story revolves around the character being tested by Arachnos as they make their way up to rivaling Lord Recluse. Destroying the world in the process, but hey, even the heroes destroy the world in one of the blue side arcs. Blue side however, until they introduced the early arcs where you fight alongside the Freedom Phalanx, you are an independent hero not under any group's oversight in any real capacity. Sure, Freedom Corps and by extension Longbow keep tabs on you, but not in a manner like Arachnos. Vanguard tests you, and I suppose you could view them as a patron organization. The Freedom Phalanx, Vindicators, and Longbow are all just out there leaving you to your own devices though. That's just my take on blue side patrons though. And it is very much possible to adjust the story to enable blue side patrons. So take my response with a grain of salt please.
  6. AE does not give Empyrean merits. It gives xp, including incarnate xp if you're level 50, and the vet levels you get from the xp give the Empyreans. If AE does give Empyreans, please tell me how. I could really use some more. (Edit: Point being, it is not AE giving them. You would get those merits even if you leveled elsewhere.)

  11. So here's a thought that will get me stoned to death: Make Rebirth a rez only power to match the rest. Edit: And if not, then make Howling Twilight and the other non-pool rezzes also function as a heal. (Edit again: Erm... possibly discounting the self-rezzes....)
  12. Yep. Got something similar. Bane Spider that uses the Wolf Spider gun attacks, the Bane Spider melee mace attacks for when things get too close and just need to sit the *&%^ down, and a webnade. No mace beams or poisonous ray. Is insanely fun!
  13. And for every "I hate flamethrower and ignite on AR' there is a "I love flamethrower and ignite on AR". I actually take and enjoy using those powers. And has already been said, you can't take powers out of sets that are already in the game. As I have said on other threads, you can't take away powers from players that are using and enjoying them. You want to tweak AR? Then let's talk tweaks. You want to remake AR into something more like how you envision the power set is supposed to be and forget anyone that is currently enjoying it as is? Then you are imposing your way to play on others. You're willing to keep beanbag but not buckshot. Rifles don't fire bean bags. They can fire rubber bullets and other non-lethal rounds, but bean bags are shotgun options. (Edit: And you won't get the knock from a rubber bullet that you would get from the larger and meant to knock people back/down bean bag.) So you're already deviating from rifle back into multi-purpose weapon. Unless you attach a rifle fired grenade (kind of like a RPG) to the weapon, rifles don't fire grenades. The underslung M30 is a grenade launcher attachment. You are still technically dealing with a multi-purpose weapon. So you are against AR being a multi-purpose weapon but want it to be a multi-purpose weapon. And you want to make it more generic with Aim to match the other sets while you're at it. No thanks. I rather enjoy AR with its available list of powers as is.

  16. Ouroboros arcs are the regular story arcs. Unless you are referring specifically to the Ouroboros Initiation arc from the Pilgrim? What do you have against stealth characters being stealthy? It's what I hate about kill alls when on a stealth character. May as well not be stealthy and just take a more smash-centered character. Absolutely not. It is already ridiculous easy to get reward merits in this game. There are specific arcs people farm to maximize their reward merit acquisition rate. Making reward merits drop for every mission in a story arc or task force/strike force is entirely too much in my opinion. Aside from the initial note in this post and the other two comments, I actually am favorable to this suggestion. It would just mean I would need to keep xp turned off like I already do.
  17. Uhm... I do. I know people that like MMs and I love MMs. (And I've said so on other threads previously.) I read your comment as a blanket 'no one likes MMs', and so it seems you think no one plays MMs. And that would obviously be wrong. I see as many MMs running around when I play as I see Tankers.

I do not play support focused characters. Except for my third post, and now this one, I kept my posts as questions and did my best to ensure readers understood that I was asking questions because I did not know.
  19. Yeah... I'm against that thematically and mechanically. Mechanically because no power set has a heal and rez combined into one power. Thematically because absorb pain is you take the target's injuries unto yourself to heal them. So if the target is dead, you're taking their death unto you to rez them. And I don't see any comment about using absorb pain killing the user if used to rez a target. Edit: So if Empathy gets to merge a heal and a rez, then all the other power sets that have a heal and a rez should get to merge them too.

  21. Meh, that makes a lot less sense. Triage Beacon or Spirit Tree as telemedicine doesn't work in my opinion.
  22. Ooh! Sounds fun. The larger radius at least would mean my pets following me would actually be in the radius of effect instead standing outside of it bleeding to death. (I typically have to run around to draw my pets into the triage beacon radius because they for some reason like to not enter it. Or run out out of it after I get them in.) Not so sure about the teleport back to beacon upon defeat though. Usually I'm defeated at the beacon. And if I'm not, it doesn't matter because I'm hosping anyway.
  23. Isn't Time supposed to be ridiculously OP compared to all the other sets though? If that is the case, then comparing Empathy to Time is itself broken. Again, I don't like playing support focused characters, but when it comes to support, all I ever hear is "play Time".
  24. In order listed: 1) Sounds good. Being able to avoid clipping on costume design is always a plus to me. 2) How about an invert button? Say you have the colors you want, but they are in the wrong places. Click a button and it automatically swaps the colors on that specific piece. As opposed to my current practice of changing the first color and then swapping to another piece to count out to the desired color only to swap back to the piece being worked on and recount to find that color. Or even a most recent colors used menu. Shows the last 4 color selections you used on the character in that instance of using the creator for quick selection. 3) 🀣🀣🀣 Sorry, haven't had a problem with costumes looking like bald spots, but I get the desire for the fix. Being able to rotate the character on multiple axis would be helpful with the costume planning. πŸ‘ 4) I'm not driven to feel either way on this. Not opposed, it would be a nicety, but won't be bothered by the lack either.
  25. For the scatter. Just not the run 3 lightyears away because of DoT or debuff. However, my response was to your flawed argument. Not in relation to the ignite scatter effect. Edit: I'll be a little more clear. Mobs should always try to get out of the damage patches. They shouldn't run away forever, exaggeration intended, but neither should they just stand and die. They should get out of the damage patch and resume trying to rip the character's face off. Or whatever that type mob does.
