  1. I think that's because Dark Armor has other weirdness, like Melee AOE damage and fears for some (minion) mitigation. It really does work pretty well against lower conning minions.
  2. Eh, and then you have suppressed toggle that are target centric. So like Dark Miasma's Darkest Night can be suppressed for 8 seconds and then toggle dropped as someone killed the anchor, thereby triggering the recharge timer. That can't happen when it's a self toggle (like some armor toggles), so maybe the rule needs a small tweak for them for the self only on 'on target'?
  3. I think the problem that I've been seeing is that the -40% AOE cap before the (very variable AT scalar?) means that Sentinels are very mediocre damage dealers on teams. The .6 to .95 (Really, just random numbers almost?) ranged numbers means that you need to survive longer to take down harder foes. Bosses, Elite Bosses and Archvillains/Monsters/Giant Monsters make playing a Sentinel a real struggle, especially as the higher end can actually outpace your damage with their native regenerations. Scrappers feel much tougher and I think that's because a lot of their mitigation is melee centric, someplace a Sentinel can't really survive that well. Having higher hit points definitely helps. So the only thing that Sentinels do well is... solo at lower difficulty levels and don't get mezzed. As others pointed out, a very mediocre AT that has no standouts. So a literally pity spot on tough content. Good thing that we don't have any super hard content coming out, right? /sarcasm
  4. Maybe I replied in the general thread earlier, but aren't 2 surgeons a bit of a break in Cimmoria mechanics? Especially now that they look like they throw a clear mind and healing out?
  5. Is most every (casino) employee at Blackbeard's supposed to look the same? (Four of six are these guys, the other 2 are 1 other model) No bodysculpter either? Huh. And the ambiance of seagull without any music is kind of a turn off? No rock band or ravers in the basement? The "back" door is probably hinged backwards, too? It should open so the hinge is away from the street, I think.
  6. I know that for my Dark/Dark defender, Darkest Night is usually my only offensive toggle. Of course, with mezzing still suppressing the -To-Hit, I'm probably going to die if I'm mezzed anyways. 😕
  7. Seismic Blast is not going to be proliferated to Sentinels? I can sort of see why the stone armor set isn't, as Scrappers and Stalkers don't get it either, but I'm not sure why Sents don't get the blast set at least. Hmm. Dropped in to check out dual blade with sheaths on the back (which seems to work nicely) but noticed that when you your Vanguard Sword, the left weapon 'draws' the Vanguard blade for the first part of the animation and then swaps to the Vanguard Sword at the end. Finally caught it in a screen shot.
  8. It does, on second reading. But that seems odd when you can have Nemesis spam their Vengeance (on death) ability from their Lts standard.
  9. This... doesn't seem to make sense logically for the 2, 3 and 4 stars. If it's supposed to be harder for the 4th star because it gives greater rewards, you go from up to 8 stack of Tactics (no limitations), down to 2, then 3 then 4. Shouldn't it be max of 4 Tactics for 2 ☆ ☆ , 3 tactic stacks for 3☆ ☆ ☆ and 2 stacks of tactic for 4 ☆ ☆ ☆ ?
  10. Hmm. I thought they put a rule in for no double Immunes Surgeon? And they seem really fast to cast fortitude (?) on everyone in their spawn? I was doing +1/x1 as pretty normal for my Sent.
  11. But I want the sparklies! Did you mean your other left, Posi? Or your pandimensional left? I see no portal?
  12. That portal doesn't fit or match the 'stepping through a portal' that is mentioned. I think I would prefer it to be a vertical standing portal myself. Everyone jumping up there seems like it would be a bit odd.
  13. It does seem like they want to angle to make passive fire farming not as much a thing. I wonder if they are going to watch the market and INF cost of items? And I suppose to foster people to play more regular/Incarnate content rather than just door sitting.
  14. Isn't this just angling to make Smash/Lethal not the only logical choice? It's been kind of overpowered, basically?
  15. Range/End Hamidon types for Teleport options. But I'm a minority.
  16. Yeah, that's fair. I thought I remembered different, but maybe I remembered a secondary blaster set that included build up. Considering the tank/brute version "heal" is a pretty active power with damage/to-hit/recharge it seems very strange in comparison, I just didn't go into depth well. Half the damage, smaller AOE and lower maximum number of people for half the recharge... And most of that damage difference is probably from the AT difference. I would suspect that originally it was knocked down to the Sentinel scalar with the smaller AOE and max, and it came across very gimpy. So they made it recharge faster. Which just sort of papers over the issue and costs END faster. (Even with OS fairly kitted out, I'm burning END faster than I can keep up with in a group.) I do wonder if they gave a recharge and endurance cost discount to let you spam attacks if it would feel better?
  17. Should it also only allow 3 slots max, as it can only take healing slots? It's kinda gimpy with only one thing.
  18. So I'm tooling along on my Sentinel with Dark Blast and Dark Armor and going, some of these powers don't actually make sense for a 'primary' damage and armor powers. Firstly: Aim. Why isn't this build up? Or is this a technical gimping of the AT so that it can't intrude on blasters and corruptors? At level 45 I can barely defeat -1 minions with my nuke+aim. And that seems very, very odd. Second: Tenebrous regeneration. Literally only allows healing enhances, no secondary at all. Might be okay except... for thirdly (IMO, should get partly passive endurance regen to all the GD toggles that Dark Always Has). Thirdly: [Obscure Sustenance] This is the Endurance recovery power masquerading as a healing power. And built so weird I want to scream. It's a PBAOE (no target) that only hits one target. Set to 2.0 accuracy with a weirdly scaled drop-off endurance recovery power. And it's actually set up so that you can not improve the endurance part, just make it cost less and faster (but which increases it's End Cost per second). It's like it took all the worst parts of PBAOE then slapped the worst parts of a single target power and said 'screwy enough for Dark!' The Tank/Brute/Scrapper versions are all much more powerful, but designed to be in melee.
  19. Close-Local chat sounds like an awesome way to improve the game! I'm 3,000% behind this!
  20. It bumps to the top of the watched stats and then jumps between the top and the second position, flickering weird back and forth.
  21. Hmm. I'm kind of surprised that they didn't just add manhole entrances to Atlas/Mercy instead of removing the (others)? Or something similar (like this door with the big arrow above it goes to Atlast).
  22. I'm sorta surprised they just didn't copy the models to Granite1 and then figure out recolors. Probably something too confusing for me to figure out.
  23. Umbral Beast from Dark Control is a persistent (ie. lasts until killed) pet that is solid and you can't move it out of the way like other pets. So if it stands in a door, you can be trapped by it.
