  1. top of the forum page here there is a link that says "Game Account" click on that, and you should be able to change your password for the game there
  2. I think it was even stated by Posi in one of his post shutdown interviews, honestly, I wouldn't see anything wrong with turning some of the Hazard zones into co-op zones, I still think taking them and making them villain zones is a bad idea, but for instance a villain incursion into the back of Boomtown could make for some interesting content, maybe villains coming into Faultline through the Arachnos base behind the dam in Fault? still a lot of work, but gives you FAR more scope to make stuff interesting, you aren't removing content from people and you are adding content to red side
  3. I have some tanks, and such, but I'm a long way from being someone who plays as a tanker, so the tricks and clever builds are just whoa moments for me, it's awesome to learn little bits like this
  4. pretty much, which is one of the reasons I think the plan for KW was to make it a Co-op
  5. don't forget though it's still supposed to be a support toon rather than a frontliner so 0.65 is probably not too horrible
  6. I do like this as a general concept, however I think it's going to be tricky to implement without hurting some peoples playstye, and honestly I have no helpful suggestions, I just want to say I hope people keep hashing this out to make it work, because I think it has the potential to add a lot to end-game
  7. this, it's certainly the case for me, my wife and all but one member of my SG
  8. this actually seems low impact and not a HUGE amount of dev work, just a huge amount if you get my meaning
  9. ok cool, now the issue started after a patch I believe? prior to that you didn't have the same problem? if thats the case the first thing I would look at would be the firewall and antivirus on your local PC (HC's version of the client software have issues with a lot of anti-virus because they are not being published by a software company) assuming you are running windows the first suggestion I would make would be to whitelist the entire folder you have Homecoming installed in inside your anti-virus (most anti-virus programs replace the default windows firewall with their own, but if windows firewall is still running I would make sure the coh exe files in the HC-64 and HC-32 folders are allowed full comms through that as well. as you get to various stages of logging in and playing you are using different parts of the client install, so you may be running into the one part of the client thats getting blocked which is when you are getting the mapserves (a mapserve is basically the games way of saying somewhere between the client program on your pc and the server software on the server you are losing communication (or at least the responses are so slow that the game gives up) the thing to remember is you will probably need to do Antivirus whitelisting every time HC does a patch until they are well known enough for the AV companies to put them in the assume it's ok list sorry about the lecture, I find it's helpful to explain my reasoning a bit
  10. If you are having mapserve issues the issue is basically happening between YOU and the HC servers in Canada, so unless the other games are hosted in the same place then they are unlikely to have the same issues. I understand you, I see a lot of potential issues playing city through a VPN Can we just confirm though that you are getting mapserver errors rather than the game crashing? not trying to be a pain, but the difference between the two means a completely different troubleshooting plan
  11. there are a few (sorry can't help directly as I don't use them) just be aware (I'm a network engineer, so I feel I should warn you) if you are having mapserve issues a VPN connection MAY help but there are so many places the issue could be that it's not a guarantee, it's a good start though
  12. this kinda blows my mind, I mean I've never done serious tanking like this, but I've also never slotted taunt over 3, so just WOW!
  13. ok, its a weak link Kansas to Chicago, but It's all that came to mind
  14. I actually think the other direction would be better narratively, moving the Boomtown content to Striga, which is pretty much the council hub in Paragon, plus with the 5 column/council conflict back it's made the council content in Boom a PITA which needs to be cleaned up, moving it to Striga with it's already full 5th column/counil narrative would work much better than how it is
  15. I'm pretty sure theres more to it than that, but I've never tried to do it, so arguing about it is pointless, and I don't think moving Hazard zones red-side is going to increase interest in red side at all, and it's going to require a lot of work blue side, moving GM spawns, rewriting missions all over the place that send you to said zones to make something that really doesn't gel with the rest of the red side zones. Kinda irrelevant argument anyway, HC don't have the resources to do any of this at the moment, they don't even have the resources to finish KW and that was 80% done before they even got their hands on it
  16. read higher up the thread, redesigning a zone (which making an echo counts as) is pretty much as much work as creating a new zone from scratch according to the only people to have done it I have no issue witth new red side zones, I just think trying to nab blue side zones to do it is going to make more work and piss people off, which makes it the wrong way to do it
  17. Never evem thought about it before now, but since I've seen it now I have 3 character concepts that would work really well with a crossbow dammit
  18. yeah thats it, it never got fully to the stage it was advertised to be, and spent most of the games run pretty badly broken
