  1. I have a Psi/Nin I quite enjoy myself and after the changes to Psi I was so impressed with the damage utility of the power that it ended up replacing The Lotus Drops as an additional AoE. The mez effects are nice extras but not important enough alone to warrant usage. I typically like to chain it up after Cyclone, so that by the time mobs are getting back on their feet they are affected by some form of additional mez.
  2. No, sweeping strike is part of the chain SwitchFade laid out.
  3. Headcanon from the game lore: Excelsior's regenerative abilities could allow Fixadine abusers from Praetoria to survive the eventual organ failure from the withdrawals. This is part of a character concept I've had forever to roll a Destroyer-turned-Freakshow, but I'm holding out for actual Freakshow costume parts to be added to the CC. Trying to evoke something similar with the parts we have now feels lame to me. My own Headcanon: A handful of my characters that I don't have solid concepts hail from a distant gladiatorial planet called FIGHTWORLD. It's an obvious homage to Mojoverse and always written in all caps. I've had a lot of fun writing wacky bios for character that are otherwise unanchored to game lore.
  4. The latter. You get around this by having a secondary that allows you to proc out your SS attacks, so the -9999% damage effect on your attacks is mitigated (bio and rad are good sets for this), have a set with excellent baked-in recovery options to make the Endurance crash painless (bio and rad are good sets for this), and use a layered approach to offsetting incoming damage including but not limited to -Str or -ToHit auras, large on-demand absorbs, very high resists, and self-heals (bio and rad are good sets for this).
  5. Unintelligible screeching at the thought of going anything but Musculature Alpha on a Scrapper.
  6. Does anyone know if the sword attacks from Ninja Tool Mastery have the full range of weapon customization available to Katana/Ninja Blade sets elsewhere? Reason: cooking up ideas for a geomancer and a stone sword would be fun, but don't want to get to 35 and find out it's not really a thing.
  7. It would have to be the big bad gal in my pfp. Inv/SS/Soul Tanker Probably her design. My main from my limited run on Live. The one I always love roleplaying with. Most amount of money spent on art commissions. If we mean play as in actively run them around in the world and attack enemies, very little anymore. She's done literally everything once. All badges, all Ouro arcs, etc. If we mean play by time logged in, whether idling in a spot or actively roleplaying, quite a bit. More than any other 'actively' played character.
  8. There aren't really any big surprises in Ninja Training with the exception of Choking Powder, which seems like a fairly middling hold but when you pack it full of hold set damage procs, has the perfect cast time/recharge time/projectile speed to turn it into a Nuclear Sand Grenade.
  9. They share the same names as the attacks from the Katana set: Sting of the Wasp The Lotus Drops Golden Dragonfly
  10. Because it's the only one that had a native 15ft radius AoE. Can you imagine if that got buffed by 50%? To 22.5ft hitting 16 targets? As the scholars say, "lmfao."
  11. Follow-on petition to mark Excel as the unofficial PvP server.
  12. Hands down MA/SR. Why: Better Damage Per Animation Better Powers for loading procs A first class PBAoE An actual build-up power A much better bonus on the T9 attack. And that's really saying something because MA isn't great on Scraps. It's good enough, but not great. Still an easy clap over Kin.
  13. In your first post you have the final vowel as a U rather than the actual O the word is spelled with. Maybe it's only a typo on this board but if your command is spelled the same way, it will fail to execute.
  14. First class thread necro.
  15. But they can still reduce your team's output by being annoying for the melee. That's the unique benefit of Coordinated Targeting as an AOE buff.
  16. The revamp Sents underwent made them really nice team players with their higher damage and -Res on demand. Very handy for TFs packed with EBs. I usually over-build my primary set at the expense of my secondary set. I've found it's a wasted effort to build a tanky Sent; I'll overkill fast enough solo and in teams even moreso. One interesting pool power I dont see picked a lot but is really strong is Mace Mastery's Coordinated Targeting, which is a team version of Focused Accuracy. The cost is still high but hey, all Sents get some End sustainment, and you can't beat the amount of ToHit and Perception Resist you give to your team. No more whiffing against Arachnos or Circle of Thorns.
  17. Absorb generally speaking is a very strong mechanic. It's more than just "extra HP" because it benefits from your defense and resist values, and provides time and space for heals or regen to get your HP back up. It's a large part of why Rad Armor and Bio Armor are such powerful sets. But it's most effective the way those sets use it: in large applications with appropriately long cooldowns. Preventative Medicine's absorb proc is useful generally as a grace mechanic and it's proc chance scaling makes it work really well for that. Small absorbs, like the one from the Sent ATO, Winter Hold set, or from certain Blaster sustain powers, are less effective because they slough off faster and the re-application isn't fast enough to make up for it. That said, even small absorbs are better than nothing.
  18. The megamind play is to slot the ATO bonuses by threes anyhow so you end up with +40% range and +7.2 End. This allows you to mitigate Sent range penalties (especially useful on cones) and increase the benefit from the Recovery abilities in their secondary set. Agreed that the procs are awful, though.
  19. If you're one of the few people on Everlasting that is somehow maintaining a character with the April's Fool badge from April 1, 2020 and can have that character in Pocket D, message @Wravis in-game (or here? The global is the same). They have a door for your to get very close to, and try to open.
  20. Dream Doctor. Who was one of the founders of the Midnighters. Hence the line: Little known fact that magical nepotism is a huge problem within secret sorcery societies.
  21. Rad/En or Elec/En toasts baddies and pairs thematically. Primary has at least one PBAoE and thr secondary has strong ST melee on both. Among other reasons to take those sets.
  22. Besides HOs, it's a fairly quick source of Emp and Reward Merits. Can't beat 10 minutes of raiding for 4 Empyrean and 80 Reward Merits.
  23. Proton's got jokes today.
  24. Paragon is simultaneously the most advanced and most ruined city in the US. Bizarre.
  25. The Council's leadership seems more interesting than the faction itself. I'd rather deal with them more directly than constantly wade through a sea of stooges for whatever distantly relayed goal I'm meant to be striving for.
