The Six Fingers of Shame beckon you!

I think Brutes are my most-played AT, both to 50 and in general. Which doesn't mean I'm an expert but I do have so many I love. Current Brute project is Dark/Elec. So much more damage than I expected. Also dies more than I expected but I'm still working up the leveling/slotting ladder so she's made of glass. Pleasantly Surprised award is tied. Originally it was Kat/WP which sounds like a boring combo but is wildly effective. Really good if you want to incorporate a lot of toggles like leadership or combat flight, since you have End to spare. After the revamp is BA/Regen which, even beforehand worked well enough synergistically but now also wrecks shop. WM/EnA isn't just a meme. This combo rocks once Energize comes online. You just proc out everything that isn't taking Brute ATO bonuses and make sure FF+ is in Crowd Control and go. This pairing is Exhibit A for why EnA shouldn't come to Tankers, but I give a damn about game balance so when it does I'm rolling this.

This is a good, common sense suggestion and there's no good reason to push back on it. It's just good business to grant respecs any time there's a power change. The fact that they're widely available and therefore not a rarity by any means only lends to that argument. It's not upsetting the game/market balance to do this.

I hope the 4star AEON gets a lot of activations.

찰했다! Really nice work on the video guide. Agree that it can be hard to find folks who know the fights and enjoy running this strike force (even though it is objectively the best one in the game, by all metrics, don't fact check that). -
Suggest a good Gold-side solo character

It's particularly sexy in powersets where you have a big punchy power that can also hold crit strikes proc for another big punchy power, like EM. Especially EM, since opening with TF that has CS slotted guarantees two charges of fast ET, the first of which should be a Crit. But yeah, something like that so you can get back to back crits on your openers. -
Still a thing. They rotate servers, I think Everlasting was the latest one. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/1036-tanker-tuesdays/?do=findComment&comment=557659

So this proc works differently than the other two mentioned because it doesn't apply a continuous buff, it just gives you a one-time injection of Endurance per proc (exactly like Panacea does). That said, putting it in Crystal Armor is a good call, regardless. Edit to actually answer the question: yes as long as you have the toggle active, having Numina or Miracle procs in them essentially act as a continuous bonus to recovery (or regen).
-
I'm fairly certain it won't work. Although the wiki entry is effectively correct, it is not (to my understanding) technically correct. Here's how that matters. In toggles and autos, procs like Numina's and Miracle are still behaving the same way they would in click powers: follow toggle proc rules they proc at least once a minute (auto powers are basically toggles with special rules). The thing is though, the buffs are non-stacking with two minute durations, so you'll always have it up on your character once it's gone off. So if you're fiddling with the toggles, eventually Numina's buff will fall off, and won't come up again until somewhere in that first minute after activation.

@ZemX's excellent explanation notwithstanding, I'd recommend putting Defiant Barrage's Proc in whichever blast power you took at level 1. The reason being is these powers can be cast through a Mez. If they aren't already being used as filler in your rotations then at the very least you can spam this attack when locked up and have a chance to break the mez (while still applying damage). A lot of NPC mezzes have pretty low mag. Even getting +1 protection can break them.

You've just opened a can of worms, as people have been weighing in with their feedback on Storm Blast for weeks now, and it's gotten rather rabid. And now they'll be coming here. My advice? Stick with Elec. It's a better blast set; one of the best since the rework.

Hi @DanaDark 👋 This is just a work-around and perhaps you know it already but in case not it might help bridge the gap until it's closed. You can bind the flypose animations to execute midmovement. What I do is bind it to shift+W, so that when I'm flying I just tap the shift key and my character is now in a flypose animation. This can be done with a rotating bind file as well to cycle through anims you like. The bind I use is: /bind shift+w "me flypose2" But there's a lot more options if you (or others learning about flypose in this thread) want get creative here.

Related PSA: Superior Protection Imbuement (AKA Super Team Break Free) Relatively cheap on the AH (or 30 Threads each if you have a max count character/farmer) and provide not just you but your whole team three (3!) minutes of insanely high mez protection. Usable at level 1. Always worth it to carry one of these in the trays, if not for yourself than for team mates that might be locked up by an AoE mez. Should easily last through any fight with that duration. Protip: be the MVP of your next Posi 1 run by dropping one of these before the shadow clone fight.

Suggest a good Gold-side solo character
twozerofoxtrot replied to Techwright's topic in General Discussion
Unfortunately this does require a bit of pre-game mapping out, since some contacts have cut off that are much earlier than you'd expect, leading to the overall narrative arc being abruptly ended because you can't get the next contact's story arc. Seer 1381 (who is very important in Fisrt/Night ward arcs later) is easily missed this way, since her range (8-15) is the exact same as the preceeding 3(!!) contacts you need to complete before you get to her. --- Also FWIW +1 a SS/Bio Brute from early suggestions. Any tanker that gets a Cone at lvl 4 is also a great call. Psi Melee Tanker was really good as a Loyalist since I didn't really fight bots. Strongly recommend avoiding Defenders for these levels, especially if solo. Typically self-buffs are few and far between and you end up short on blasts. Even Debuff heavy sets feel less optimal. I realy struggled with a Poison/DP that I duo'd with another player (a Stalker who incidentally did great). -
Reaction Time/Power Transfer Chance for Self Heal not proccing
twozerofoxtrot replied to Psyonico's topic in Bug Reports
Could you post chatlogs with time stamps of it procing at the same time on your /Dev? There should be a minimum 10 second split between procs. Sometimes this gets missed with in game chat since it does not show the seconds on the timestamp there. -
This is a hypothesis so it may not work. Mail yourself 1mil Inf; retrieve it when you log in on your character.* Go to the to the Transact for Victory (T4V) vendor located at the very start of the Tutorial area. They are standing about 10ft from the Officer's 10 o'clock. Under her tabs, go to Prestige Powers > Travel > Teleport and buy the Base Teleport power (should be 1mil exactly) Use the power to escape the area and get to a Teleport Hub base.** Because you're Praetorian the Icon NPCs there may not talk to you. But Trina in Pocket D will. Go there. While in Pocket D, find the portal to Imperial City or otherwise find your way back to Praetoria proper. *If you are having trouble finding Inf for this part, some players offer free inf for newer players, such as @Yomo Kimyata. Check their bio for more info. **If you don't know what this is, reply with what server you're on and someone can provide a base code you can use.

I have a Plant/Sav that I stopped playing at 43 and moved on from, but was a killer while leveling. I know, obligatory "Everything is good with Plant." The thing is the stacks from Frenzy felt nice for helping keep Creepers out. Plus you can throw bees. Full confidence that if I went back, took to 50 and incarnates, it would do great. Also I saw a lot of people enjoying Ill/Sav Doms when Illusion dropped on Live. I'll bet that the Frenzy stacks likewise helped that pairing a lot.

There's nothing wrong with your choices in the OP. Don't be dissuaded by people who haven't played these armor sets on Scappers. Give Stone a try. Stick with it till at least 30 (or start there if that's your pref) and see how it performs damage-wise with everything toggled on. Bring blue insps.

Not worth it, and if AFK farming absolutely not worth it.

Oddball suggestion (and a wonky build) but I really enjoy my Beam/Kin/Mace. Clarion Core is a must for mez protection. Single target chain includes Siphon Speed which stacked up helps push the recharge of Aim and the Nuke down. Fulcrum Shift then Nuke. Take down bosses first, wipe up the rest. Probably not the fastest Corr but solos really well.

Earth does an absolute truckload of single target damage. This is probably why you took it in the first place. Heavy Mallet and Seismic Smash are strong both straight slotted or procd out (you should be able to hit about 1k damage per activation on a good Seismic Smash). Fissure is also a sleeper hit proc bomb. I know it doesn't seem like it should be but like Upthrust from Seismic Blast it has some x-factor (projectile speed?) that's not counted for in Mids.

Both are really strong choices. Similar in a lot of respects and likewise similar synergistically with Dark Melee. So a tough call, down to preference really. For me, two things would swing to Stone: The Immob on Mud Pots isn't strong, but it does prevent minions from running at the least, letting you focus down bosses and LTs without having to worry about them shooting off and getting lost. The double Auras on Ice are gonna cause runners, which sucks for Dark Consumption and Soul Drain. Brimstone Armor's procs provide a little more Oomph to Dark, which to me feels like one of the softer-hitting Melee sets.

What's the hardest AT combination to play solo?
twozerofoxtrot replied to FFFF's topic in General Discussion
Cackles in HC buffs. -
Not to derail the thread (I think OP got their answer) but I've seen this player's "copy" of their character in Everlasting hanging out in Pocket D and even that less-played version has an impressive badge roster. Also it really stuns me to have recently learned that there are players out there with character names that are not only the same as the Devs, but also in-game Contacts. Sort of weird since there's a lot of blocked off names, otherwise. Still salty I couldn't pick up Contemptress since the name is used by a minor villain character you might bump into at AE or Safeguarding banks).
