  1. It's not you. The most recent version of MRB has been broken compared to the previous version. Certain damage procs, not all of them, show no change in the calculated damage output of the power when the yellow button is clicked on and off. Some other types of proc and not others have been affected too f.ex tanker ATO +res has no affect clicked on/off. Mids' Reborn v3.7.4 rev 9 Database: Homecoming Database Issue: 27 Page 7 Database Version: 2024.5.759 Running under .NETCoreApp,Version=v6.0 / .NET 6.0.29
  2. No, there is not enough information in the game to learn all about incarnate powers. Read the HC wiki to start with. It describes the powers. Look at the incarnate window and start to figure out stuff. Choose an alpha power to build, build it using shards if you have enough or dip in to threads. You also have Empyrean Merits and Astral Merits you can covert to threads, more Empyrean Merits (from Astral Merits see Luna in Ouroboros or Echo Plaza - this is a popular option) and then in to incarnate components. Another way to get incarnate components (the ones that build from threads) is run that Dark Astoria mission from Ouroboros pillar and flame. Or run the Apex and Tin Mage task forces in RWZ. Or join a BAF or an iTrial. When you reach 50 practically anything you do has a chance for shards and threads to drop. Finally, you will make mistakes with incarnate power choices -- learn from those mistakes ("why did I even pick that?"). I wish there was a way to breakdown power mistakes to threads or components but there isn't a way.
  3. It should be expected by now every new major release of MRB has consistently ended up being an uninstall and fresh new install, at least for me. There is some new cosmetic stuff in the latest version which I thought "Thanks!" then kept using MRB the same old way I have always used MRB. May be one day I will try out those new features? Worryingly there is stuff broken now that was not broken before in the previous major release. The problem is the code is a nightmare to understand and develop upon without breaking something. Two steps forward, fractions of a step backward is the cost. Even though it is not 100% MRB is still workable when you know the bugs old and new and can adapt for them. Without it, many of us would probably give up playing.
  4. Been down the Atta Map and follow the hostage out path what I found was the hostage, while you're on follow, on some runs would teleport through the walls to a different part of the map leaving your farming character stranded. It happened at a high rate. I wonder if that disruption still occurs now? The crossroads parts of the maps are where doom is met the most.
  5. The other part of /noparticles is /unloadgfx use it after using the former.
  6. After years of taking part in Yin PUGs none of that stuff phases me now. The latest Yin stuff I roll my eyes and facepalm at is the new anti-pattern of [Pool.Teleportation.Fold Space] being used. Yin is a like a test bed for all kinds of less effective bad play and this one is when the team moves in to engage and some idiot sucks away the engaged critters. I would not care if this power got deleted from the game or did an auto-aggro on the caster with a -def -res on them too to make them either drop that power or learn to use it properly.
  7. Re: Linux running MRB under Wine Reinistalled, Setup 3748 + spun through further updates, changed options and seems to be ok. Using the auto-update from the previous major version was the same fail that others already noted that pointed me down the same reinstall workaround others already realised (for Windows applies to Linux too). Still cannot read any text in the installer there is one place have to blindly click to accept something. One caveat - I like to set +3 difficulty to check accuracy of attacks the drop down list does not work using just the pointer. It used to work, doesn't now. Instead, open the drop down list with the pointer then use cursor keys to select the difficulty. Further: options changed are turn off auto-update, set directory for builds Something I did notice (and mentioned to the MRB folk on Discord a few weeks ago) was previous version was auto-raising from the background on mouse-over. So far, so good it has not repeated this affect with v3.7.4 Rev 9. Some Windows users noted the same affect might be fixed for them too.
  8. Playing in a window of resolution 3,200 x 1,800 approx. Trays 1-2-3 all the direct action stuff. Tray 4 random, Tray 5 Rez, Mystic, Reveal + stuff for Tray 6 Tray 6 Inspiration combination macros and execution supported by pop-menus that modify target Tray 7 Toggles Tray 8+9 Travel
  9. I think those new iTrial leaders on Excelsior have come from other servers where they have been around forever running them on a Friday/Saturday, they experienced the recent good times with increased population, then the exodus to Excelsior happened (again, as the population diminished on their server) and they followed. There are still a lot of new players running around judging from the types of questions getting asked in Help etc.
  10. It happened yesterday on a Synapse TF one player quit didn't say anything. The team noticed and a mission or two later someone said something about it, then the team collectively shrugged and kept moving along to the end. All this whining is a waste of time nobody should get a penalty focus on what you got and keep going.
  11. Huh. Health = Regenerative Tissue (+Regen), Miracle (+Recovery), Numinax3 (Heal/Recharge, Heal, +Regen/+Recovery), started to add a Panacea again (+Hit Points/End) when updating old builds that did not have a Panacea and the build was slightly on the wrong side of gain/loss. So, 5-6 slots depending. Stamina = Typically 2x EndMod (50). Stopped going down the rabbit hole of Performance Shifters and/or Power Transfer -- there's no rabbit! In most builds hit-point total and regeneration get chased in addition to everything else.
  12. I knew a "one-door truther" would comment. I never knew about Clamor's toggle teams I am on just drive her away, pivot to the doors and defeat the ambushes. Tricky part is asking melee characters to remain in the reactor room and deal with the ambush there instead. Two doors opened give better line of sight and allow ingress to Freakshow that are still alive for the melee to deal with and still have coverage from the team to support them. I think one door opened is only effective for super weak teams and still does not buy them the time they need - the overwhelmable are always overwhelmed. Going to observe that toggle now I know it's there. Freakshow in that reactor rooms always reminds me of the respec trial during live all characters were pretty weak. I remember total team wipes and wall-to-wall Freakshow piling up inside the reactor room like an underground train jammed shoulder-to-shoulder all the waves piled up in to one. Ditto Sky Raiders and Rikti in the other trials.
  13. Unfortunately, it is unusual when nobody clicks on all the computers in Yin before clearing the incoming ambushes. This week Yin is WST and I called out "do not click the computers" and somebody did, they then ran to the doors and got taken down by the ambush + Clamor group then said "Oh, that makes sense now!". May be it was the 3-4 other team members also taken down that swayed them in to that response, never know if the bad act was on purpose or not. At least no-one gets upset now when BOTH doors are opened! SMH as though that ever made a difference or didn't make it harder for no reason. Same thing with Posi 1 after I call out "clear steps before rescuing 4th hostage" always someone who ignores me.
  14. Depending on the desktop you might have zoom controls for example on KDE Plasma you can hold the META key with the PLUS key to zoom in, MINUS key to zoom out. But it sounds to me like your MRB install has something that has gone wrong with it judging from your description.
  15. Even though HC has given in and appeased the whining by semantically adding a system for releasing names the hard fact is that if it were fully implemented those that covet names are still completely unlikely to obtain those names if they became available - which makes that whining irrelevant. If HC implemented the name release system in to production then a new batch of whiners would enter existence - those that lost names due to the names they had being released. No problem needed to be solved and new problems will be created. No winners. Just whiners. I only have sympathy for players who lost names.
  16. The real question is how outraged will you be when the change to damage procs happens and will you rage quit? I played live from the beginning to sunset saw the introduction of the AH and IOs then IO sets. After enhancement diversification and the lesson it imparted to players I think those developers never thought at the time that damage procs would be used the way they are now. They intended them to be used as part of a set for the bonus. Homecoming have a pretty strong hate going on with farmers and repeatedly nerf their effectiveness. Farmers use the multiple damage proc method to clear farms faster. You can clearly see how this is going to play out - it is not "if" but "when" and how will multiple damage procs be made ineffective. In the last patch farmers were silently nerfed again nothing mentioned anywhere in patch notes however it still happened (up to 6% reduction in AE standard rewards XP/Inf for custom critters). I imagine the way it will be done is that each power will be restricted to a damage proc only being able to execute 3 times per minute. For example one damage proc might execute up to 3 times in a minute, two damage procs one or the other will execute 3 times per minute, three damage procs may be each one gets to execute once a minute, etc. This will mean one damage proc in a power is peak effectiveness. It could be worse, it could take the form of a character wide restriction - per minute three damage procs anywhere in any power might execute. Please don't try to blame farmers for the nerf but try to enjoy it while it lasts then when it finally happens don't quit but adapt.
  17. Try: C:\Games\Homecoming\data\texts\English\Menus If that folder does not exist, create.
  18. Yes, it's easy. You push some bootans!
  19. I'm happy to adopt whatever syntax you add for reset, @Number Six just to note I use a line containing "f forward$$UnbindAll" to do it at the moment. In my Reset file, this is the second line, the first line is "KeyProfile Modern" so eventually all my characters old or new, before I27P7 or after reach consistency. The rest of my Reset file contains bindings in common use by all my characters then each character has their own specific file that contains just binds they use. The character files do not begin with KeyProfile they only contain binds.
  20. May be there is cause to have a new bind save command that saves everything, like how the command used to work. May be a new command should only save what the default bindings are, for the profile. And never include bindings modified by the user. Best compromise? If it included everything then that allows the further proliferation of inefficient bind files ... /DefaultBindingsSaveFile <filename>. No opposite command needed. I have no problem with how the bind save commands work now since the changes with I27P7. Well, except for my old characters were apparently running under Classic while new ones are running under Modern. I have adopted Modern on all my characters. A file saved now contains just what you've added or changed and that is easier to understand. And it makes more sense to the cycle of save/modify/load, if that is the process used by someone, it increases the efficiency too there is never any reason to include the default binds especially loading. Plus the old saves were indecipherable with too much information. Be wary, I think a bind file starting with KeyProfile <tag> means an implicit bind reset it would not make sense any other way. NB I checked KeyProfile, it does not appear to implicitly reset bindings. An UnbindAll can be added by the user to the bind file, if they chose. The cycle of save/modify/load misses that crucial step, it should be save/modify/reset/load. My own process is modify/reset/load.
  21. Thanks for the heads-up, someone else also posted a warning about this issue elsewhere. How about managing binds, or wrangling them a completely different way like creating a file that resets all binds then adds binds common to all your characters. Then creating a second file that contains binds for each character. I think it is never good practice to bind-on-the-fly in-game especially if there are now bad consequences. For example, create and edit manually Reset.txt as follows: f "follow"$$UnbindAll alt+a ah ... Then create and edit manually a file for each character (it could be loaded from a PopMenu listing all your characters). This way you have a set of common binds, a specific set of binds per character and way to reset binds and a way re-establish them. The PopMenu that loads the character-specific binds could also offer to load the Reset too. If you want to switch the bind to another key, edit the Reset or the character file and Reset and load the character file. I think this is a clean way to manage bindings. No need to ever use BindSaveFile at all and you're totally in control. And happily oblivious and unconcerned about the existence of profiles.
  22. The only times I have used BSF is to compare with the default to see what bindings were added or changed. Nowadays I do not even do that; I have a reset file that uses UnbindAll, applies my own custom bindings and a PopMenu that loads character specific bindings from files that I maintain. To me it is systematic and therefore reliable. If I have been away from a certain character I can check the files to see what binding does what and pick it up again. I do not really know what was modified in Page 7 but when anything is changed/developed there needs to be test cases.
  23. I keep the Discord client shutdown until I want to use it, then exit it immediately upon finding out what I needed to know. Ideally, I don't open Discord more than once a month and only for a few minutes.
  24. New lower prices for LotG global recharge is Market working as intended for the benefit of all, not for the few who repeatedly manipulate prices and other players for their own selfish benefit without any effort for an unearned income.
  25.
