So say we all. So say we all!

Most of us? How did you determine this? Did you run an in game poll? Did the devs give you metrics? How do you know that "most of us" are soloing most of the time? Let's be honest. You just made that shit up. Didn't you? Look, I'm not trying to argue semantics. This statement of yours goes directly to the heart of this issue that you're having. The fact is that this is an MMO. This MMO has different classes. Classes which are specifically designed to have different levels of durability. Tanks are specifically designed to be more durable than all of the other classes, Defenders are not. You seem to be misunderstanding the entire basis of the game mechanics in this game. The change that you're suggesting would literally fly in the face of the way the entire game is designed to function. The classes, the taunt mechanic, the entire Defender class' goal of keeping the tank alive, all of it. Honestly it sounds to me like you should just go play a different game.

Your squishy squishies will be squished. Take a shot!

I disagree with you now for the exact same reason that I disagreed with you in the last thread. There is a reason that Tanks frequently call non-tanks "squishies." Your Defender cannot tank as well as a Tank can. Your Defender is a squishy. You got squished because that's what happens when squishies get within melee range of AVs. Without high damage numbers characters will never feel threatened, and players will never feel that they've accomplished something just by surviving. Yes, I think these numbers are entirely appropriate. My idea to help correct this "imbalance" is for you to invite a Tank to your team.

What is Meant by "Weak" or "Underperforming" Powersets?
PeregrineFalcon replied to Waljoricar's topic in General Discussion
Unfortunately, people are so hypersensitive now days that prefacing your post with "Not that I am..." before you explain to them that water is wet is sometimes necessary. People don't write that to keep you from getting upset, they write it to keep the moderator from ban hammering them. Blame the people who keep freaking out and crying to the moderators about every tiny little "micro-aggression" over the last 15 years for this prefix that you hate so much. Don't blame the people who are just trying to be on the internet while also having a point of view that the cry bullies don't agree with. -
I would assert that this NPC does, in fact, have no chill. Good day to you, sir!

I'm sorry but the "hundreds of threats" is just a lie. Repeatedly these so called death threats turn out to be hoaxes, as I showed above, or just claims with no proof offered. In fact "I got death threats" has become the verbal defense constantly thrown up by internet folks now days anytime they face too much criticism. And the fact is that the Star Wars fans aren't racist, no matter how much the wokesters wish we were. Billy Dee Williams, who played Lando Calrissian, didn't get threats from Star Wars fans. Just the opposite. Fans loved him and his character. And that was 44 years ago. We weren't racist then and we aren't racist now. As opposed to the star of the Acolyte, Amandla Stenberg, who did an interview and said "white people crying was the goal." That kinda of open and blatant racism is typical of the wokies, isn't shared by Star Wars fans, and ya'll can't figure out why this show had the lowest ratings of any Star Wars show ever. TL;DR: The ratings prove that most people did not like this show and rather than admit that fact the Woke are lying by accusing Star Wars fans of being racist, misogynist, homophobes, and by making up fake death threats.
-
Yeah, if all of the people screaming about the show had actually watched the show then the ratings would have been high enough to earn it a second season.
-
People who really wanted Season 2 to happen are taking this really well: 🤣 Making and faking death threats? Really people? I think some folks need to learn how to internet better.

Liquid Nitrogen change plz
PeregrineFalcon replied to TauntingMonk's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Unfortunately you've already missed the beta test discussion / forum flame war around this very subject. In the end it finally came out that the devs were just obsessed with the idea of this set not having an AoE immobilization, they kept trying to find a work around that would allow players an immob if they combo'd it with something else. In the end it just ended up not happening simply because the players wanted it to happen but the devs had dug their heels in against it. -
And the announcement that I've been waiting for has finally happened: https://www.forbes.com/sites/paultassi/2024/08/19/the-acolyte-reportedly-cancelled-ahead-of-season-2-which-is-no-great-shock/

Changes to the game/IOs SOs
PeregrineFalcon replied to Living Brain 3000's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I would like to know the specific method you used to determine that only a small minority of players still use SOs. You and your friends and/or guild and NOT the majority of the player base. -
Whenever this and certain other subjects come up you always respond so directly and confidently that your post reads like it was written by a dev, or someone who talks to the devs daily. So which one is it? I'm curious.

New Warriors Costumes Looks Like a Zombie Invasion
PeregrineFalcon replied to Arc-Mage's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Actually no. In America, outside of New York, you're allowed to walk around with melee weapons on your back. When I lived in Seattle there was a homeless guy who walked around with a Katana openly and while people did call and complain the police could do nothing about it. Bottom line: If you're not American you probably shouldn't talk about what American police can and can't and will or won't do. -

There's already plenty of end game content that can be soloed, but there's very little end game content that's a challenge for a full team. It appears to me that they're trying to create challenging end game team content. Not necessarily because that's their target demographic, but because it's where we have the least amount of content. Now if you talk with the devs and know differently then feel free to say that, otherwise my statement is just as likely to be correct as yours. Also, the entire reason that this game requires an internet connection is because it was meant to be played primarily with other players. That being the case it makes sense that the devs would focus primarily on content that requires teaming. I completely agree with you on The Council revamp and will add only that you don't have to chase the runners.

LBD's Moderate Mastermind Makeover
PeregrineFalcon replied to Little Big Demon's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
No, no. They're being shouted down. How dare you think otherwise. Remember, whenever anyone makes a suggestion, no matter how ridiculous or mathematically incorrect, we're supposed to support their suggestion and agree that it's just fabulous! Anything less is gatekeepingism and tryhardphobia and something something their feelings. Look, bottom line is that we're not required to agree with a suggestion. There's even a stickied post by a moderator that specifically says we're not required to agree with a suggestion. Disagreeing with a suggestion isn't "shouting down" or "gatekeeping" or anything else but disagreeing. Welcome to Earth, not everyone is going to agree with you. Your life is going to be a lot easier if you just get used to that little fact.- 36 replies

It's a video game. There is going to be nonsense. You have been warned.

There's billions of people on this planet and Hollywood can't find a couple of new younger people to star in their shows? Please. There's no reason to cast 76 year old Arnold Schwarzenegger, 82 year old Harrison Ford, or 94 year old Clint Eastwood as the star in an action movie. An 80 year old man leaping over cars and acting like Rambo just looks stupid. Hollywood wouldn't have to lean so heavily on these geriatric movie stars if they had better writing and directing and didn't have to rely on nothing but name recognition to sell tickets. What I was talking about specifically was this new tendency they have to cast actresses in their 30s or 40s as someone in their 20s. It just looks silly seeing a 38 year old actress posing as a 24 year old medical student. I recently even saw a video where an actress said that Hollywood is not hiring attractive women in their 20s. In previous decades there were always new, younger stars starting their careers in breakout roles. Not anymore.
