  1. Oh shit, really? Wow. It's almost like I was right when I said that there's already systems in place in the game to reward people for leading TFs/SFs. It's ok though. I don't expect anyone to ever admit that I was right about this, or anything else for that matter. I understand that that's not how the internet works.
  2. Yep. And these are the same people who think that they are morally superior to everyone else, while also calling people the entire list of -ists and -phobes for the crime of simply NOT watching a movie or TV show or video game that they like. Oh, and don't forget all of the fake death threats that they get caught writing themselves in an attempt to frame us as horrible people. And this is why, in answer to a question that someone asked earlier in this thread, I keep posting this much about a show that I don't watch. Because I want everyone to see who the real life villains actually are.
  3. Also, isn't there a badge that you earn by being a team leader?
  4. Don't you get Reward Merits as a reward for completing a TF/SF?
  5. Hopefully this will be my last post about The Acolyte. So a bunch of fans of The Acolyte contacted YouTube and tried to get a couple of YouTubers demonitized and/or kicked off of YouTube because they didn't like that these YouTubers had been saying bad things about The Acolyte. They seemed to blame these content creators for The Acolyte's cancellation.
  6. If you do not lead SF/TFs then you have to join them whenever you can, if they're even happening at all, which they often are not. If you lead SF/TSs then you get to get the rewards whenever you want, as often as you want. Now this may sound like I'm just being a smartass, but I'm really not. If you lead TF/SFs regularly you'll get the rewards far more often than someone who doesn't, and you'll get them at a time that best works for your schedule.
  7. There's already a reward system in game that rewards people who lead task forces and strike forces.
  8. While I hadn't heard of Concord until a month or two ago, and it launched less than two weeks ago, it was clear from the chatter that many others already knew about it. I suppose it's possible that the youngsters are talking about these things in places that older people, such as myself, don't frequent. I suspect that someone at Sony looked at Concord, realized that it wasn't going to do well, and deliberately decided to save money by not advertising it. If that's the case then they obviously made the right call.
  9. I'm not sure how Anthem's going to breathe easier. Weren't the Anthem servers shut down in 2021?
  10. Agreed. I like Arnold Schwarzenegger, but if you're going to make another Terminator movie then have a different model so it doesn't have to look like him. However, if you're doing a prequel it's probably better to use CGI to make Grand Moff Tarkin look right than to just cast someone else in his role.
  11. Oh, I remember Ex Libris quite well. Ex Libris is still on Linkedin, it's just a little difficult to find the page because she no longer goes by Jill.
  12. Isn't "games as a service" basically just an MMO without calling it an MMO?
  13. I don't know if "Hey, at least we're not Star Citizen!" is much of a selling point. 😁
  14. I'd read that this game was in development for 8 years. It looks like it launched 2 years too late.
  15. Concord Shutting Down 14 Days After Launch Online shooter Concord is shutting down its servers on September 6 and will not be playable after that as its developers “explore” other options for the sci-fi shooter released last month on PS5 and PC. The game struggled to find an audience - never cracking over 1,000 concurrent players on Steam - and quickly became a flop that was also derided by many critics and fans. Costing $200 million, Concord sold only about 25,000 copies. It needed to sell around 5 million copies in order to break even just from initial sales, but I guess that there was an in game store that would have made a ton of money over the years. I'm guessing because, like all of you, I didn't buy Concord. Clearly nobody did. 14 days. The game will be online for only 14 days. I almost feel sorry for the 73 people who liked the game and I just can't imagine what caused Sony to so arrogantly misjudge what the market wanted.
  16. Thanks for the links. I just got done spending some time reading some of my posts on the old boards, including a thread where I got into it with Ultimo over his complaint about Energy Melee not having any ranged attacks. Also, I just realized, I was kind of a d*** back then.
  17. Yeah, I don't think it's a skill issue so much as it's a "I refuse to adapt my tactics to something that everyone on the forums is telling me will work." Which I guess is technically a skill issue. I just tend to think of skill issue as not having the necessary reflexes or not understanding game mechanics. And in the past "skill issue" and "get gud n00b" were things that people would post in response to me reporting BUGS.
  18. You've been completely clear, we understand what you're asking for. You're not really asking for AVs to do less damage, you're asking for them to do that damage slower so that you have a chance to react. I get that. Here's the problem, this is already in the game. If your Controller, or your Defender of your previous examples, stays out of melee range the incoming damage will be low enough that you'll have the time to react that you're asking for. TL;DR: What you're asking for is ALREADY IN THE GAME.
  19. Look, I understand what you're saying, but you do realize that EBs and AVs do MUCH more damage in melee than they do at ranged, right? Their melee attacks are tuned for Tanks and Brutes and tougher Scrappers, their ranged attacks are tuned for squishies. The entire class (AT) system, enemy classification system, and game mechanics focus around it being like that on purpose. So essentially you're not asking for a small fix, you're asking for all of that to be changed. You're right, the numbers are beside the point. The point is that you didn't stay in your lane and the game mechanics punished you for it. That's not a mistake, that's how it's supposed to work. This game isn't Champions the tabletop RPG, it's City of Heroes the MMO. You can't use one as an example to show why the other game is flawed, just as you can't complain that CoH doesn't have En Passant Capture.
  20. And post a screenshot you did. I apologize for calling you a liar, sir. I was clearly wrong. I don't suppose you have a screenshot of that AV that hit you for 11K?
  21. You're a lying liar who's lying. There, is that clear enough for you? Either post some screenshots of these damage numbers or you're lying. Period. Go ahead and report my post. It's ok, I'm used to it.
  22. I am so sick of people saying this on this forum. Disagreeing with you is NOT bullying. A lot of people disagreeing with you at the same time is also NOT bullying. Pointing out that you've started other threads is also NOT bullying. Pointing out that you've been making up fake numbers is also NOT bullying. Basically if someone isn't strongarming you out of your lunch money then you ain't being bullied. What you're doing is getting upset that no one is agreeing with you and then crying out "I'm being bullied!" No. No, you're not.
  23. The people of Section 31 are so loyal to the Federation that they're risking their careers and their lives just by being in Section 31. So they decide to bring Female-Space-Hitler aboard as one of their agents when they know for a fact that she's not loyal to the Federation, and they trust her to not betray the Federation or expose Section 31 for... reasons? Yeah, something seems off alright. The show hasn't even launched and it's already got plot holes that my 10 year old would notice and try to back a giant lego semi-truck clean through.
  24. So say we all. So say we all!
  25. Most of us? How did you determine this? Did you run an in game poll? Did the devs give you metrics? How do you know that "most of us" are soloing most of the time? Let's be honest. You just made that shit up. Didn't you? Look, I'm not trying to argue semantics. This statement of yours goes directly to the heart of this issue that you're having. The fact is that this is an MMO. This MMO has different classes. Classes which are specifically designed to have different levels of durability. Tanks are specifically designed to be more durable than all of the other classes, Defenders are not. You seem to be misunderstanding the entire basis of the game mechanics in this game. The change that you're suggesting would literally fly in the face of the way the entire game is designed to function. The classes, the taunt mechanic, the entire Defender class' goal of keeping the tank alive, all of it. Honestly it sounds to me like you should just go play a different game.
