I was doing a similar thread about uncommon pairings of primary and secondary powers, which I guess is the same thing on a roundabout way, but, doesn't highlight positive combinations. Mine is also a Invul/KM tanker, I dont mind the sounds but the set just sucks. Animation and dmg are lackluster, I get what they were shooting for, an anime type melee set but its just blah. I have others I'm leveling currently, a Elec/Psi, WP/Fiery, and a Rad/Ice. I hate doing the usual FOTM builds, and cannot stand SS, so I have to do not normal pairings of powersets.

/Kin, nothing like SB on everything and great rech, dmg boost, end, its fun. I like to SB people as they are running up to a mob nothing like a "oops " moment when they run into the middle of the baddies lol.

@Perfect Weapon you are the 1st I have seen, I have seen that combo in brute though. I like PM I have a low level Ele/PM tanker that seems fun.

Or the rather long winded title of powersets combined that are not popular but work. This isn't the Inv/SS thread this is the "why did they use those sets"? Now granted I am relatively new to tankers as some of you know, so I might be totally wrong. But, I'm basing this on what I see on the forums and what I see in game. I recently made a Inv/KM tanker which seems to just work, i haven't seen any running around and while I like the build I don't love the build. Most people hate KM because of the sounds but honestly it doesn't bother me. I might be biased but my first tanker is a Dark/Dark/Soul and it just slays, so I judge my other builds to this standard because I love the Dark tank so...my Inv/KM doesn't hold a torch to it. So thinking that and fiddling around with idea of installing a Killer Chiller on something (points to you if you don't have to Google it) I came up with my next build a Rad/Ice tank, another as far as I know an uncommon combination. So after that long winded novel of an explanation, what is/are some sets paired that just seem to work in your experience not the typical FOTM or tried and true builds.

I'm going to add my two cents to this since typically I dont give a flying frig about the "other" servers. Everytime I see one of these threads about whatever crap the "other" servers are doing i roll my eyes. Honestly, you want to play it that way then go over there. My views on the other servers are 2 fold, one, they are going to be pandering to the masses to get more people to come to their server and what better way then to give people what they want. Secondly, there is zero thought into the long term ramifications of those kind of decisions, why don't you just give everyone "God mode" and see how long it lasts. With every powerset there should be a pro/con to it, pro nrg is a great damage set, con it has kb. BUT, is it bad? Only for the people once again who don't want to learn to effective manage/play the set. So to satisfy the people who just can't stand it the IOs for kb>kd were created. So you have the option to change it for your play style BUT that's not good enough now you want to change it for everyone to suit you. No thank you, and frankly these threads DO NOT promote a healthy debate its the "I want" crowd vs the "leave it alone" crowd. These threads should be removed before they gain ground and if you want to make it a suggestion then take it to the appropriate thread as an idea to be discussed not at the look at what this other server has and we dont.

It largely depends, typically if I really like my toon then I give them a bio, colors for powers, etc. Example, one farmer I have a bio, colors, etc the other farmer I dont. But, I really have to like the toon, if I don't I typically just delete them.

Agreed, one of the most appealing things of being a hero is the eradication of villains on a community level. It's great saving the world, getting the parades, recognition from other heroes, medals from the President, etc but, there's something really satisfying about saving the little old lady from getting mugged by Hellions, or a young woman about to be sacrificed in some back alley by CoT. Sometimes a heartfelt thank you is more than enough to push you to do better. At least that's how I view street sweeping.

@Snarkythats another set I never really did until recently and now I have a Inv/KM tanker, I love the Invul set but some other sets are more attractive.

Yeah all the years I've played I have yet to try Willpower lol. The wife's main is a willpower broot and she loves it and she has the T9 so there is something to be said about it.

I've noticed that most ppl use RoP more than the T9 mainly because of the crash and rech issues. I cannot say I blame them, I will never use a T9.

You've already got this question in the appropriate section for help. I'm going to guess double posting is only going to get this removed so why do it everytime you want someone to build for you. Here's the link for Mids try building something then ask for help/critique in the appropriate thread, I bet you get more responses instead of asking someone to always design your builds. In addition I randomly looked through 4 pages of the past controller threads and found this post. You have all the tools and information at hand, I find that most will simple ignore someone always asking to make builds for them, instead of some asking to critique or help with a build.

I think Hazard zones should be max level, with a GM, and new arcs. Just like they did with Dark Astoria, more end game content.

Something I've noticed about the old devs is that they made these huge zones and then had a smattering of content for them. Rather wasteful and thats why they are so dead, it doesn't help it when they have crappy TFs on top of it. Having some contacts and maybe some repeatable content would help.

You can do the arcs up to 20 then roll into 1st ward to continue then at 30 roll into Night Ward. I did with my VG and our Praetoria villains hit 49 tonight. Good story lines, interesting zones, and challenging enemies. If I didn't love the Rogue Isles so much I'd hang out over there more.
