  1. We have cable. We have an xbox. We also have Disney+. At first to watch Disney+ we had to plug our laptop into the tv to show it on the tv. Then I discovered our xbox supported Disney+. So we now switch our tv to the xbox and use the xbox controller to get Disney+. I found today that our cable now supports Disney+. But our cable box does not. To use disney+ directly through our cable box with our normal remote we need to get a new cable box. That would mean losing everything on our DVR - which includes this season of Flash, Superman & Lois, and Supergirl (also Frankie Drake, Murdoch Mysteries, and Murder in Paradise). So we have to choose between losing our recordings of episodes we have not yet watched or going through xbox for disney+. I think I would watch a lot more on disney+ like the old xmen cartoons, gargoyles, and more - but it is a bit of a pain to get to them. I strongly suspect that I would not though, as it is not that much of a pain. We get to Falcon and Winter Soldier just fine. So at this point we keep our old cable box. And really, I blame Comcast. Why does adding a new app require a new cable box and not just a software download?
  2. In one version I have read, Superman's costume is made from the cloth that arrived with him from Krypton as a baby. It is Kryptonian clothes which is why it is invulnerable. But a later version had superman create a forcefield around himself that extended just far enough to cover his costume.
  3. Dr. Cheng as the contact. I got Wheel of Destruction part 2, finished it and then was given Wheel of Destruction part 1
  4. Superman wears boots? I thought he just had colored socks like spiderman
  5. No, my simple Champions replacement was BASH. I like 4 color heroes with a ton of flexibility in character creation. The other systems I have found tend to have a list of powers you can have and lack the flexibility of Champions.
  6. I'm a huge champions fan from 1st edition. Are you saying Prowlers & Paragons is better than Champions for superheroes?
  7. Tomb Fisted Kid, the undead cowboy marshal, would fit right in with the All Star Squadron.
  8. We have these recorded but have not watched them. We just finished Season 1 of Orphan Black, so now we will catch up on the CW shows. Good to know 1-3 wrap up the last season. We will probably watch this before Superman and Lois to see how it wraps up.
  9. I like to play with no IO set bonuses. The other IO effects are probably not as bad but clearly have a major impact on play as people design builds around procs, miracle and other bonus END abilities. I frankly don't think that a notoriety option will be used. When I do TFs people do them at +0 with no challenges except maybe 60 min for a tf that takes 30 min. I don't see people advertising teams with no IO set bonuses. I think to make playing with no IO set bonuses really a thing it would need its own server so that like minded people could play there. Of course it might only have a dozen people.
  10. I highly recommend Relics and Rarities. Same thing as Critical Role but only 12 hours long.
  11. My experience with WoW as totally different. I started with the Ice expansion. You could join LFG from anywhere and everyone used it, so you could just go into LFG and get a team. You could do dungeons from level 15 on. I basically just did dungeons and teamed constantly. I played a tank and could get a team instantly. Later on I tried a dps character and discovered that it took 15+ minutes to get a team. So I switched back to tanker.
  12. But the entire LotR trilogy hinges on Gollum trying to figure out what's in Bilbo's pants in the Hobbit.
  13. It's been out for a long time but finally watching it. Just about to finish season 1. It is a multi-season serial show. It starts with Sara at a subway station seeing a woman who looks just like her commit suicide. Sara steals the woman's purse. Sara is a criminal and wants to take the opportunity to steal the woman's stuff. Sara learns more about the woman and why they look the same. As do other women. The show is sometimes listed as science fiction, but it plays out just as a gritty thriller. There are some science fiction ideas, but that's it. There is a little bit of humor, but it is more desperate and unpleasant - Sara trying to figure out what is going on and survive. Over the season a lot happens. It is definitely serial and feels like it is going somewhere. But little progress is made in the overall plot. So it is never boring, but some parts feel like they are filler rather than advancing the plot. My wife loves it. I enjoy it but don't love it.
  14. It is far more than the Marvel shows that Netflix has canceled. Those were not canceled on cliffhaners, many other shows have been.
  15. Assume you can tell the devs make content like these 3. Ignoring powersets and costumes, just content. What 3 would you choose and why?
  16. I would like to see them brought back in special missions. I would like to see more things in missions that are not just normal mobs to fight. CoT have crystals that heal, give END, or damage. FF has ice slides. More things that make a map or mission special are great.
  17. Is this the only time Rom has been mentioned in the 21st century? I'll mention poor Torpedo as well so he is not forgotten.
  18. Where Disney can beat Netflix is by creating series that have an ending and so have a backlog of things to watch. Netflix is focused on putting out a lot of new content - something for everyone. And while they put out some good things, they also cancel them without ending them. After 5 years, I don't think Netflix will have a great back catalog of original content that people want to watch. Whereas Disney can have a back catalog that people want to watch again and again.
  19. The Mistborn trilogy has massive world building along with the story. And in the end you find out that almost every detail that has come up as the story went along matters. It all ties into a massive plot that explains everything and depends on everything. Very satisfying in its way. In Marvel comics, things are messy. 60 years of history with lots of different comics, storylines, etc. Things exist that are unrelated to one another - and then they bump into each other. But the MCU rewrites Marvel to fit the Mistborn model. A Stark or alien technology explains almost all advanced technology. Tony built Ultron instead of Henry Pym. Vulture gets his wings from alien technology. While I love Mistborn, I reject the same everything ties together in the MCU. I don't want the entire world of superheroes to have just a few things that drive the whole world. CoH has lots of different villain groups, organizations, etc. It also has Nemesis. And when you play arcs you discover connections between different groups. So how do you want the CoH lore to go? Do you want it all to ultimately make sense? These are the sources of power, the things that changed our world into the CoH world. This is the grand plot behind everything? Or do you want it just chaotic and random. Hellions worship demons and the Banished Pantheon worships evil gods and someone else worships demons and there are no connections between them - there are plenty of demons to go around? There are endless mad scientists creating freakshow, sky raider technology, etc. It is not all a Nemesis plot.
  20. Tell me you guys have a refrigerator somewhere full of severed human thumbs? Ok, let's agree to never discuss this.
