Me too!

Still learning/relearning things Incarnate but: Cardiac for endred and resistance. Vigor for endmod (and heal) as I recall. Hopefully memory is correct or I get corrected quickly 😁
-
Actually Eviscerste is a solid melee cone, but the animation drives most folks nuts. Nuts enough to make it skippable. See thread discussing the power elsewhere in the scrapper forums. It's fallen to page 3 as of 1/23

If you feel like experimenting try slotting Centrioles (Dmg/Range HO's) in Hurl Boulder. See if that helps with range while maintaining the damage such as it is.

To the question of is 17hp/sec regen good. Pretty average from what I've seen, in general, of /SR builds, but not the max end for what can be. My Claws/SR on Live, for instance, was around 32hp/sec. One of the last posts with Arcanaville's MA/SR build I saw was at similar numbers. My Claws/SR had Aid Another (good for healing badges) and Aid Self. Both were mostly mules for +max health and +regen bonuses. I rarely used Aid Self for urgent in combat healing. When needed I used inspires.

Hey sorry about Cloud Song's sudden disappearance last night, Was having a lot of fun when my 2yr old decided to wander out and join me on my lap, All was fine for a few wiggly moments until he messed with the keyboard. Next thing I know I could hardly type anything or control my movement. Somehow he managed to alter the input/swap the keys of my normal movement keys with my arrow keys I think. Anyway it was a simple fix once I figured out what was going on (unplug/replug the USB connection of the keyboard) but afraid it took a few to figure it out after a few frustrating moments typing seeming nonsense in chat. Hopefully I can hook up again in the near future.

Yeah the easy choice is skip Hurl Boulder. Mine (also Earth/Storm/Stone) just hit 50 and I plan to 5 slot both Fissure and Seismic Smash (maybe 6 in Seismic). And of those two Seismic Smash is the straight up winner for outright delivery of pain albeit single target. PS: Fissure I took for the stun (and the soft control of KD) ... gives her 3 stuns Stalagmites, Thunderclap and Fissure

Never got to build and try out an Emp/Elec I had planned out in Mids. But was going to try Tempest proc (chance for -End) in her single target blasts. Not sure how well that would work with the proc changes (heck wasn't sure how it well it would work back on live, I19) or whether it would be better to drop an EndMod IO in the 6th slot. The other 5 slots being Decimation and Apocalypse respectively. Short Circuit was 3 Armageddon and three Efficacy Adaptor which pretty much maxes both the end drain and damage. And with PBU would drain over 100 end while recovery was at -200%+ recharging about 7 seconds later to fire off again (both under the effects of PBU). But as Hyperstrike pointed out Short Circuit is your workhorse doing both substantial -End and -Recovery, I tend to look at the rest of the blasts almost as if they simply keep the End and Drain from SC intact till SC recharges to do it all over. Currently have a Emp/Elec on HC and will undoubtedly build something close to this build. Here's the old build. Make of it what you will in terms of the /Elec EmpElec (v1.00.i19 MusculatureRadialParagon).mxd

AFAIK the Accuracy is what is boosted. To Hit is a different animal. Together they decide whether the attack strikes home. Build Up and Aim (and similar powers) boost To Hit as well as damage. And To Hit is what really destroys defense.

Good at least I'm only partly feeble minded by age.

Dont know about Poison's but Traps version definitely expires though honestly I couldn't tell you the duration.

PS: in addition to what everyone is saying (skip Elude) the way I dealt with the Elude crash in pre-IO days was via a blue inspire plus 2 accolades Archmage and Geas of the Kind Ones. The blue to kick start things followed by Geas (for its recovery boost) and then Archmage (for its defense and resistance). Just in case you are running it ...

A great deal of just how bad depends on the character. Something like /SR with its typical levels of defdebuff resistance being a point shy, while not ideal, isn't a looming disaster. But on your typical squishy support AT it is a defeat waiting to happen. The first debuffing hit lands and drops your defense from 44 to 34 (or worse). This makes the next hit substantially more likely and suddenly you're hit several more times and your capped defenses have vanished in a 'cascade failure.' On a character with significant ddr like SR it's less hazardous because that same debuff drops your defense from 44 to 43.5 a slight uptick in damage and your foes have to continue to be very lucky to land further hits because your defense remains fairly static. You'll be dead from the blows before your defenses are really eroded. Now think about a character with defenses at 47 or 48 and think about what that first lucky hit means with and without ddr.

Never got a chance to post her build, but yeah no Elude, all toggles, passives, cj, maneuvers, tough, weave. Focused on +hit points, +regen rather than recharge. Try to post it later when not on phone. http://www.cohplanner.com/mids/download.php?uc=1634&c=803&a=1606&f=HEX&dc=78DA75944B6F125114C7EFC0503A7D23B4A50F0A7DC9AB4CA1D48D696CD4B6945A9402756152C9146ECB54322540B55DFA1534D1BD0BE3CA8D4B576E7D6E5DA8716BB4EA173078B8E71488C449C8EFDC33FFF39873EF2571BCD2F33C767F99497D578B5AA5924DE7CA5AA9C4CBD6744EE7468E33789662A9D5CCE550381CF1AC9FEC96F5BC27A31D19D56C8AEF73239BD08ED7B956AC163CBEBB51351A56F585A8276EE4B4B2A155B9DF0A091C6759B3095EE45C8552F72AEE867385EF71A3C2D5F4517D95E27B457ECC2BB6B851E0656E54D533A33779785854D7F4FD425537F67195E0793DA71BBC5FAC36B996E7E54A412FF59CAD4B20B5AD96F49C7AE5307F02DD56AABC7CE284AE54F8E9F5F6C453B3B0D766C6221DCCF486F816D9F90ED9F71E39F70199A8C74A22D6CC1C604464D63980EC1B043A6536F3075EBB6476602529D491BC26D0284CF611FDC8AE00D21934891C73AF8076995D875833D63199451DD00E2067441D85DD018D85F25BBE419C4B611DDF893F903DA748670DEB4C2CE3771421D62ABAAB59ACB7005ED0EE20076E23270A0C6374E4CC013209B10AF6C69449F4DD005F37F5DBBD6116DFE25F430662480934BDD82FEBCDD66BC86C0B7CFD14D7FF9F380334368C936D21FC8E732A711EE908132338C714C4D8A9477B087B34836F107DF2E030188AC28616B0C6B88AB39D0C10434817C40C636D69781B7DA35B481BBC1BC177A611DA9351DAA3713BD20D9A31D28C51BC9FE20319A40C1A17CDC02566A030CF1A723A8E4C83C64D1AF73F1A4F0C9901CD1469A6A89F693A3BD3D4570934B37466663FE1B79FFF4AFC4CFC82F42ED299BC801C82581FCDD447F9D3200DD29E068338E7A7B0C92AEA2CEA03DC97F947C4C7986BFEA224EE486489780969871A619A77F809C6449E21C7E5C6BD656C94893C9B72E33EC27E62EEA4DCB8774C0AA2CEDDD4D5925D422DEC9D165B6BB1775BEC53B025AA21D159FAD9EAF3A1EF57D36791E212DEA555E4E48624CEBB771BFF2B425BC49BC8DFCD58B344331BA299791F224334BB70EB1C6AF0B0409B27D2E6596CF344DB3C9B762840537A51B76902738EA6FF638BFFE554DD56847D2DD0C856FB0BBF2AFDA6 Funny what 7 maybe 8 years will do. Already see some things to work on even without considering the above posts. Build was originally planned out around issue 22 and never quite completed before life, then Sunset intervened. My first thoughts were to rework Physical Perfection, pull one from Tactics. Thoughts? PS2: And I am crazy or did they tweak PB? I seem to be able to click it when mezzed and I am almost positive that wasn't true on Live last time I played her.
-
Orginally posted her build on a thread about builds including a scrapper section but when I get home I'll post the one I have that's survived the years since sunset.
-
Good to know, guess I need to make the room somewhere, somehow.

Reactive Defenses is one of the sets I'm not very familiar with ... when does the scaling start and I'm guessing it must stack with SR's own scaling resistance?
-
My build on live and the one I'll be basing an HC build on has Tough and around 23% S/L prior to any scaling resistances kicking in. Owing to having over 2100 health that means she can take around 900 damage before scaling kicks in, Pretty much takes an EB, AV or GM to do that in a single hit and usually several hits from anything else. Usually if that happens I pop an Orange or two asap and rapidly max out my resists particularly against S/L. I'm honestly not too worried about getting in the red unless I think it is because the foes have a boosted To Hit. More than likely my Regen (30+hp/sec) will see me back to the green before I get hit again. But yes the things I grabbed while leveling(so far) were the +def uniques placed in Tough, PerfShifter+End, Miracle and Numina's uniques The question I'm pondering over is do I want to get any of the new IO's in the build such as the Unbreakable Guard +HP into her build and where can I fit them in.
-
That is a very sweet build Darkir, about the only thing I'd really want is perma Heat Loss but not sure where I scrounge up the slot without hurting things.
-
Agreed. Having to "move forward" after using follow to engage the target eventually led to dropping hover for combat. Now CJ+Hurdle joust, Focus and Shockwave deal with flyers or other up 'out of reach' foes.
-
Long time ago on live, pre sets, I had Hover on my Claws/SR. Never encountered any issues using it with my powers. If anything it helped with mitigating the KB in Shockwave as the kb got limited by the ground. I'd definitely get the kb to kd IO for the obvious reason of not sending your defenses flying. One of the best things about fighting +4 and +5 as a not yet 50 without those slotted in my Shockwave is they dont go flying 🤪
-
On my phone, can't look at the build atm, but I'm quite sure that can be a potent build that'll help teams dismantle anything up to and including AVs and GMs
-
Absolutely!

Only part of illusions damage goes away. The debuffs of the secondary plus the safety of having indestructible pets to take and hold the aggro more than make up for the loss of that damage. It's in part why perma PA is so important. Aggro shifts rapidly back to the controller when the pets despawn, not just the loss of damage output from the pets. It's also why illusion/Rad has been an AV killer long before sets became a thing.
-
In some ways I find it isn't even defense that makes you sqishy splatty, midgame in particular, it's PB running out or end running dry while still fighting and getting mezzed or toggles dropping (oops). Unlike some sets /SR is a late bloomer. In part because Evasion comes on board at 35th to get AoE defense but also to get the DDR up so defense cascade failure is less likely. When DDR matures that's when those damage spikes from lucky hits gets less scary
