I vote boost orange numbers a bit without nerfing purples and add in resist debuffs (thinking ~10, 15, 25, 33%) and resist mez (~50, 100, 150, 200%) so that while you still have to deal with getting hit with the debuffs and mezs that may have missed you had you used a purple, they'd at least be less effective against you. I'd say that'd give them some use even for people near the resist cap since few have all their debuff resist maxed unless using ageless radial destiny.
  2. Yeah, that's what I was thinking, had an ill/emp on live and my stealth was much stronger than stalker hide, though stalkers did have higher stealth cap.

Haven't tried arctic with superior invisibility, does one prevent the other from being toggled on, or is it just that you only get the stealth values from one (which is how I though the non-stacking worked but never bothered to check)? Looking on mids it seems it is the first, which is disappointing. If it could somehow be changed to only take the highest stealth but let other effects stack that'd be a huge QoL improvement.

In a way you can, @Solarverse has done editing of sound files and discussed how others could do it on their own, though this might not be exactly what you're looking for since it'll only change what you hear, may change the sounds of other powers, and you can't customize it from toon to toon without swapping edited files every time you switch. As for baked in sound customization so others can hear "pew pew" rather than "bang bang" I imagine it'd be a ton of work, so not opposed to the idea, just don't know how feasible it is.

I don't think it's meant to dismiss all old people, just the members of the Boomer Generation that did their best to ruin the world then tell young people to "pull themselves up the their bootstraps" (and fun fact, that phrase actually means to do the impossible since without external support there is no way to pull yourself up with bootstraps). As to whether the elder generations playing this game would find the phrase offensive, couldn't say, though think there was a topic in general talking about oldest players, maybe poll some of them? And for other meme based badges... Since TFs can track deaths, maybe finishing a TF despite dying over a dozen times could give "Never gonna give you up".

  9. Think the closest right now would be hover, rather than taking your time getting up you just flip around right side up again. Not sure how adding a power would go for making you stand up faster (and I'm not sure it's actually possible with the physics engine ) but if it is possible, I'd say add the functionality to existing powers like SR agile, or other powers that suggest you have better reflexes/agility than normal.

I think part of it is also the end cost, you have to spend at least X end every 4 minutes, more if the drone gets beaten, but you can keep it up permanently even if some sort of mez does hit you (whether it's something that FFG doesn't protect against like fear or confuse or if the mag overwhelms the protection) where a toggle would get suppressed/shut down. Not saying a perma-pet wouldn't be nice, but I do sorta understand why it is how it is. Maybe if the drone would have it's model and the bubble it projects replaced with something very visually distinct for the last 30 seconds/1 minute to help remind to re-summon?
  11. Like Shadekight said, think the specific thing the person wanted was NoFX powerslide because they wanted to RP having an Iceman-like elemental slide for their toon.

Also to add to the tactics vs combat TP, in addition to the fact that tactics to-hit is always on and more slot friendly imo (not fighting for any range enhancement) but it also provides confuse protection, confuse and fear resist which are common holes on armor sets mez protection, it also provides +perception and -perception resistance to help when you get hit with smoke or other perception debuffs. All this adds up to tactics being far superior choice in almost all cases imo. As I said before, I think CT should get a small bit of +def in addition to a bit of +to-hit (though perhaps slightly less to-hit then what it has now). Even if it might be considered stronger than what you get from combat jumping, I think it'd be fair given it has to be actively maintained and could interrupt attack chains rather than toggle you just put on and forget about.
  13. So, had an icarnated PB on live but haven't gotten around to starting one here again, so my thoughts on improvements may be outdated... Maybe turning PS into pets with a small bit of HP (like 250-300 at 50) who trigger a damaging explosion on death, along with either an AE buff or debuff. Also give them 1 or 2 melee attacks that do self-damage every time they attack and have a gauntlet style taunt to clump enemies around them, resistance to heals (so you can't keep them up), tons of ranged/AoE def but no melee def, and maybe some code so they spread out or stagger a little. They'd then be able to eat alphas if lightform is down and/or if you know the spawn has nasty mez/debuffs as well as providing a bit more utility and damage. I also think that inner light could use... something. A proc of some sort maybe? Not sure beyond feeling like it looses to mire. Pulsar could use damage, maybe a better mez, and conserve energy could have it's recharge cut a little.

  15. I sorta feel like either you misspoke (mistyped?) or I'm misunderstanding, but I feel all powers should be able to benefit from good keybinds, just none should require them to get any use.

Aside from those who can just take the pounding, electric controllers can lay down static field and then fold enemies into it where they'll be slept and drained, traps can drag stuff to acid mortar, can pull mobs back after they crawl out of a caltrops patch, rain of fire or whatever other patch/rain they're trying to flee, ninja stalkers can use it and immediately smoke flash, MMs can use it with bodyguard to help melee pets along.... There are plenty of uses other than farmer farms faster. Bleeding edge players will always be ahead but there's no reason rest of us can't make use of nice things with a little creativity.

From what I can tell, the reason for the multiple powers is in part from datamining /enterbasefrompasscode usage and wanting to not leave people high and dry so to speak when taking it away, but having an inf sink for edge cases. Pretty sure one of the devs or GMs mentioned that just LRTP will handle the majority of people's teleporting needs based on datamining they did (though whether they meant 51% or 85% don't think they said), 2 powers covers 90%, 3 95%, and 4 will cover everyone who's not deliberately trying to TP so much so as to "prove" we need instant unlimited TP / command for everything .
  18. So, having trouble quoting another topic here, but it's already happening on beta, offering a "No Fade" option that will keep your character model from becoming translucent when not in combat. Can check the topic on changes to blaster secondaries for details.
  19. Ditching team teleport entirely wouldn't be cool, at the very least MMs tend to like it for pet positioning. Maybe making it so that when you pick TP you also get team TP since you can't exactly use both at the same time anyway, but there seems to only be one person who's pushing for LRTP to be folded back into the teleport pool regardless of what has to be removed to shove it back in there. Also I could be wrong, but I suspect the upgradable nature of the new LRTP works only because it's an accolade, not sure if a pool power can change based on badges you may or may not have (but could be wrong on that).
  20. I'm kinda curious which four things you take back, and what the dozen or so you don't take back are. Hopefully the fix works without breaking anything else, would solve the last possible objections I could have, though I admit I seem to have had fewer objections to this sorta replacement for the base from passcode / than some others have had.

For wormhole, I think it should just get extra mag on the TP without requiring extra steps or % chance of working, but you'l be rolling the dice on things you either can't stun or who purple patch your stun into wearing off near instantly. If wormhole got sufficiently buffed, I could see a 50% +mag 1 or 2 to TP for fold space so it might be better at grabbing higher level bosses or EBs.

I feel like you're the only one who's pushing nearly as hard to get LRTP put back in as a power pool pick rather than an accolade (now that unlock requirements have been loosened anyway) and Fold Space removed, so I guess every other player is kidding themselves and a liar by your un-logic. Also, it's teleportation pool, not specifically travel teleportation. If it has to do with teleporting yourself or others it fits. Edit to add -- I also doubt I'm in the majority, but honestly even if it was TP to any point in any zone with no cooldown, I'd likely still take the tram when solo or on a chill team, but I grew up on Everquest and back when I started you could spend hours traveling from one zone to another and end up back where you started if you died and need to run naked back to get your corpse and all your gear. Spending 5-15 minutes traveling is quaint, and some of the stuff you see while traveling around can be interesting.
  23. Honestly, I feel both to-hit and defense fit thematically, to-hit is as you said a sucker punch, and defense because if someone's bamfing around you don't know exactly where to aim or might be unsure of your attacks because you have no idea if the person is going to disappear again mid swing.
