  1. generic permahasten build, you dont have to take flight. i personally feel like dropping flight to free up slots but oh well fffb.txt
  2. @PeregrineFalconbetcha if i made another regen thread you would do the same thing
  3. oh damn did i miss the monthly sword rattling thread? just petition and move on, you wont win
  4. Probably Dominator out of everything you listed. Earth Assault is very single target focused and will give you that feeling that you fucked something up after hitting it. An added Bonus is that your single target hold stacks with seismic smash. and seismic is effected by Domination Most of earth control is skippable. i think i just took the hold, quicksand, quake, the aoe stun, and the pet Alternates: Stone Melee/Shield Defense brute. Use a rocky shield and rocky/fire and ice costume bits and you are gtg. fault sucks, dont get fooled by it. I think my final build had Spring Attack at level 16 because Fault was so bad Seismic Blast/Energy manip blaster. all you really need from energy manip is buildup and energize. if you use magma stuff for seismic blast you can consider /fire for more aoe. I personally never got very far with stone armor even after the revamp but good luck
  5. This also might be a stretch but you can mess with zombie/spectrum costume bits and auras to be a ghoul or a ghoul commander Since I hate Radiation Emissions small radi I do not recommend going necro/radi mastermind
  6. pistol or rifle/martial blaster. that teleport attack thing can mimic blitz from fo4 titan/willpower, slot for ranged defense. im sure we all have a blade of the west sword game in full metal bikini armor smashing the wastes playthrough saved somewhere beam/dev blaster. use your devices to overcome beams lack of aoe and mimic mines and such rifle/whatever sentinel, use power armory looking costume bits few masterminds... all masterminds depending on how you mod your game. you can have like 4 dogmeats and 2 catmeats you can also be stupid and go plant/thorn dom and be the son of harold. I guarantee you that the name "Sappling of Jerold" will be available on all servers and all projects.
  7. the other im also working on human only separate characters but those are not done yet and wont be for awhile ws - nova.txt
  8. i kinda sorta skimmed the thread but most people who have bad experience with the epic archetypes are the people who spread themselves (slots and enhancements) too thin trying to branch out to all your options and becoming a jack of all, master at none and not being a master at something is biting you in the ass as you read this. If your ganna play a bane just think of yourself as a mace/reflex stalker. forget the pets, forget the acc/tactics leaderships, put assault off until later. and stop with that doublestacking leadership meme. too many slots dedicated to that. and the wolf aoes are stronger than bane aoes and since a recent patch you can use your mace for wolf attacks at the tailor
  9. /bind key powexeclocation target "power name here" this one is for getting around corners and stuff or strait into combat, open map and mouse over team mate, click them and use this and bamf /bind key powexeclocation me "power name here" also useful for rains, wormhole and snare pits /bind ` powexecname "teleport target" the tilde key tends to get used a lot for masterminds and such, you dont have to specifically use this for teleport target /bind z powexecname "teleport" basic traveling around, z is not used for combat, same thing for c and v. i use zcv keys for all characters travel powers
  10. And thematically someone who has super reflexes wont be much of a street boxer or a thug kicker or even someone who can take a hit would just go strait to Weave.
  11. Kinetics is too strong, once you get a good FS in the rest of your team will obliterate everything not giving you time to animate or time for DoTs. Water/Storm (skip hurricane and gale) for dot stacking. Freezing rain + whirlpool is good times. then steam spray for more dots and so on Water/Dark and you can try to recolor your dark stuff to be steamlike. get used to teleportation pool so you can Teleport Target your dark servant into melee Water/Trick Arrow. oil slick alone is worth it. can also use glue arrow to keep things in your whirlpool
  12. that explains why I didnt know what you were talking about at first. to backup i just copy the whole CoH folder so i can hit the ground running on a new pc. same with swgemu, p99, all bethesda games that sounds confusing, i sort by AT with a page gap and whatevers currently being played it at the end of the list for that AT
  13. you dont organize your character select? or remember at least three letters of their names?
  14. Fear the ones that blend in with the light. Common red flags that do not appear as red flags: "Community" "Dev time/volunteer time" "Think about others" (used for everything) "1000 character slots just be yourself"
  15. Now I am serious here. A pool power (a term used by old devs to today) means... pool. If we just had one large pool of powers to pick from this might be unique to all post-shutdown servers this might actually lead somewhere. We can break these up to tiers, and the word tier can be replaced with anything. Flurry, Jump Kick, Arcane Bolt, fly, etc can be tier1, and a requirement of tier2 is having a tier1 Tough, Tactics, and so on can be tier2 And having a tier2 can allow access to any tier3 I am sure there are Vigilantes, Rogues or Villains fueled by Vengeance but not much of a leader, or hates being a leader. And before you get all judgemental, please take a moment to think about it. More and more sets that are new tend to have 7-8 powers that are "good" or "required" to have. Super Reflexes, Bio armor, blast/melee sets that do not build for perma hasten or always be unhealthily-dependent on incarnates. Now think about when the devs buff an old set. Or, at the very least, give them some freedom to buff old sets. Pooling all the pool powers might sound overwhelming at first but thats every first timers introduction to everything.
  16. MMs require thought. its not like other ATs where you can slap together a savage/fire aura brute and stack dots to win while slotting for melee/s/l def. mostly because pets do not benefit from most IOs/sets Ninja and Thermal? Your ganna have a bad time Ninja and Cold or FF? You are stacking defense with defense and you are ganna have a good time The list can go on but you need to synergize sets thinking of your pets inherent and your secondaries benefit. The only anomaly to this is necromancy and dark miasma. Dark Mia can get staggering amounts of -tohit when fully slotted, and necromancy pet resists are for rare/uncommon damage types
  17. You lose ALL Defense if in combat. you dont leave it on. You slap 1 or 2 additional slots into it and use Universal Travel power sets in it to boost its run and jump effects. Then you use 1 runspeed in sprint with it to get into the 80mph range. 90mphish if you have [quickness] or a variant of it /bind z powexecname "Sprint" /bind c powexecname "Infiltration" /bind v powexecname "Jump Pack" Boom, enjoy your natural-adjacentness travel power. or that really weird build that is tight for power picks but light on enhancements
  18. I use this for bossless firefarms. I dont know if incarnate stuff shows up on your end but: alpha: Agility: endmod, rech, def side. The recharge alone will outdamage Muscle in the long run destiny: Ageless: 90s>120s version of rech/end hybrid: energy proc side lore: whatever really, i use knives of veng support side for Adrenaline Boost and its 30% damage aura shout judge: ion, left side Also after going over this I am going to put a Gaussian proc instead of recharge in Rage next chance I get because multistacked rages tend to piss me off ssfire.txt
  19. oh right back to the spirit of the thread. you know the first thug upgrade animation where you take something out of your jacket and throw it? that animation for some poison application widow single dart caltrops throwing and a downgrade animation, spine's throw katana out throwing a knife animation kinetic melees focused burst
  20. a larger radius on the debuffs would do the set wonders and maybe apply the splash effect to the heal but keep the 7ft radius as an homage to how things used to be whilist buffing 3 powers or maybe come up with a new mechanic where ground powers like caltrops and tar pit can be formed into a cone and apply that to nox breath or maybe add an enhanceable resist effect to the res power because it can also be used as a mule as you rez maybe 1 or 2 people a week and
  21. Been debating with myself on dropping Wolf Armor so I can pickup Combat Jumping + Superjump, but here. stalker/defense based. All the ranged Mace attacks suck besides Poison Ray Wolf Spider AoEs are great and you can use alt animations to fire from mace AoE def is kinda weak but outside of winter IOs i didnt have much of a choice And I planned this for exemplaring in mind. Ya know, healthy amount of attacks at a low level + barebones group support i understand that Leadership buffs used to be the bees knees when VEATs came out but most of the time I cannot justify the power slot and enhancements to stacking Defense or Assault like that. And while Tactics always sounds nice I have to drop it due to tightness in builds and hoping other players are also doing their slotting properly. And if something is doing -tohit, you kill it. bane.txt
  22. I had some time to think about this and came to a conclusion. Can punishment be a two way street? voting to kick for example A leader afking or not being a good leader Someone with too much knockback/repel Someone using fold space/wormhole poorly And when kicked it applies all the punishment ideas the OP had in place. its only fair to give power to all
  23. Flash Arrow, Disruption Arrow and Oil Slick is all you really need. You have nothing to stack Ice Arrow with, i personally dont get proc bombs and this will not build beast stacks Entangling Arrow is nice for late game stuff, I take it at level 49 or so, single acc or acc/mez hami. You will get more mileage out of Assault Flash Arrow is auto hit and a bigass radius, I recommend 4/6 dark watchers. 4 pieces with -tohit will do it. Also Power Boost effects Flash Arrow for some staggering numbers Glue Arrow is alright, seems overslotted. 1-2 recharge max Poison Gas sounds nice but its not really. -15% damage is nothing coupled with things resisting it Acid Arrow is also bad in practice, still a small radius and with proper slotting you dont need the -def, also requires a tohit check for itself And EMP arrow has a long recharge and small radius. it sounds awesome sure but you wont stay in one place long enough to ever really get the full benefit from it outside of AV fights, screw that too if they start running/moving around. If you have not already go get the Taser (tech?) starting attack from the START vendor. return your original, use taser to light Oil Slicks Get those personal attacks early on Maybe work in Maneuvers/assault earlier Vengeance is a nice mule that can buff rarely Dont forget Hamis. a res/end and def/end in tough/weave for minmaxing slots when everything else is too tight. cytos are a little costly, ribos are not. and personally i didnt have enough room for Tough slots, so it just holds 1-2 procs on most masterminds Now, all I do is group in large teams. Flash Arrow is going to be your main thing most of the time because some groups just mow down targets no problem and you wont have time to get fancy with all the other arrows. if you solo maybe your build works for that
  24. Stalker. km/fire guess km/bio might work.
