  1. This is probably the best outcome since there are thousands of players, 5 different servers and thousands of supergroups/coalations all with their own circles. All day long I see people asking whats with the torches in ouro, including myself all met with the same confusion and replies of "sorry for the loss" afterwards

Thinking of pairing well sets yes. mace or martial arts and dark armor to stun bosses asap hellyeah. fire/trick arrow controller to stack all the dots? fuckyeah. sr/ma tanker so i can have softcapped defenses without IOs but then IO for resistances or damage? of course i got a long list of fire armor alts to stack dots with but. thats like 90% the reason i keep playing is finding sets that work well together

There was another idea I had that sorta used the PvP set bonuses mechanic to work just on pets For those that do not know, PvP sets are sets that have 2 set bonuses per tier, one is on all the time, the other only activates in pvp zones 2 piece bonus would effect you, but an added effect that just effected your pets in the form of an aura. i was going to flesh out this idea more but my head started to hurt trying to come up with the words to describe more clearly that a two two piece bonus with two effects being efffffffff
  6. What if all pet/mastermind IOs were auras? Before I begin, a pet aura IO right now is something like Sovereign Right: Resistance Bonus. You slot it, your pets benefit if they are in range of you Now, in my head there are two things going on with this idea. Take for example these two enhancements: Commanding Presence: Acc/Dmg + 5% pet recovery aura Commanding Presence: Acc/Dmg/End + 10% pet movement speed aura If both are slotted in the same power, you the player will get a two-piece set bonus. Meanwhile your pets will get those two bonuses as an aura from you. Reminder that auras go away when you the mastermind are too far away/untouchable/etc Also before you say this is OP there are only so many pet slots, and the enhancement stats/aura bonus wont probably sync up to be super awesome frankenslottable combos. Please keep in mind this is just a spitball thread, between 2 mm sets, 2 pet rech sets, 7 pet damage sets and like 60ish enhancements I will not be thinking of every enhancement/potential aura bonus imaginable Between positional defenses, typed resistances, raw damage, acc, health, maxend, knockback protection, etc there is a lot to work with or even think about And I just became aware that this probably would require all pet enhancements to become unique
  7. mechanically i dont know how it will work. maybe a special mastermind vendor that gives special powers that if you toggle on, your pets will toggle on even then there is the whole suppression thing and they have superjump now and i dont know how they will know when to jump if they were to do it when you do it
  8. I just use my phone to take a picture of my enhancement screen before the respec so i can knock it out in less than 5 minutes

I take advantage of out of combat snipe +range for cone attacks I slot range into my cone attacks (not psi attacks since psis thing is longer range). and one (1) blaster has boost range but thats only to really real teleport.' been wanting a rifle/energy for boost range but thats just too many binds to manage and i dont wanna do that out of laziness

  11. You can definitely make sailor moon outfits. I have a Sailor Juu thats a dark/fire sentinel but not a lot of people get it because there isnt even a planet nine anymore holy shit that happened 18 years ago
  12. Retargeting an AV/boss can be a pain in the ass in the event of an AT needs to buff/heal and go back to the Last Targeted Enemy. Lets say you are a Demon/Thermal mastermind, you forge your prince/garg and need or want to retarget a boss real fast to not miss a beat attacking
  13. do your respecs with exemplaring in mind. this is 90% the reason people complain about synapes or think its bad because they come in with like 1 or 2 attacks but seriously, 2 hours on a +4 synapes is damn good time

  17. its locking task forces to a certain level when using through the LFG tool no matter whos using it. A level 8 leader for posi will mean a level 8 posi. but if used the tool everyone would be level 15. I have him on ignore and i begged and pleaded with him to stop replying to me and my threads a few times. please dont play telephone Because this is the LFG tool this is to make room for people who do drop for the whole thing. since there is no smart device that can tell whos going to be gone for the rest of the event or who went offline for 5 seconds, just boot for the rest. Now, you seem to not realize I am talking about people using the lfg tool, not forming groups by hand which will not effect the way things are now these are proposed changes to using the lfg tool, a total revamp. you form your own group by hand? you can still log off for 5 seconds and nothing bad will happen you use the lfg tool and gatta go for whatever reason? boot

Not much progress lost. and the more common situation would be is if someone logged off for whatever reason. then you lost like 15 or so minutes of time? still got the exp leading up to the super rare blip. I dont want to say homecoming has a small playerbase, but that is an extreme amount of variables for match making for the current population also if you were level 22, you would get auto sk'ed up to 25. does not matter who the leader is
  20. Skip to the TL:DR if you want, but I am starting this suggestion with a story. Maybe an hour~ ago I started a DinB with a level 19. At first I thought the entire group would be level 19 and the default level 20 of the trial's enemies would be a nice +1 exp bonus. Folks would keep their level 24 power and it would be all smiles. But no. I was level 20 sidekicked up beyond my level as the leader and starter of the "trial", and leader after the "trial" started. Now, TL:DR but somehow more R, I suggest that the devs apply this to ALL Task/Strike Force content to the LFG Tool with some additives: Never enable "Lock Content to Group", sounds OP for that one dude who came in seconds before the final blow in the final mission came to be, but this is rare and uncommon. Keep the max/min level of the task/strike force to its original. ex: Silver Mantis Strike Force at level 25. folks higher are level 25, and an example level 21s who join at bumped to level 25. leaders notoriety has ZERO EFFECT on the task forces/trials levels from the LFG Tool. NEW MECHANIC IF POSSIBLE: People who log out or disconnect for any reason are auto removed, please keep in mind this is how the old exemplar system worked for exemplarees. While this sounds harsh, most task force content in this game is short or common ++++++++++++++++++++++ WHY LIKE THIS?! Because of the set levels of the LFG Tool this can allow traditionalists to form their own groups by hand to set the enemies level to their own liking. So a player-made group can still form their own +4 ITFs, BUT, people using the LFG tool, say a buncha mid 40s, can do a level 50 ITF. Or If you have weather/family/etc you can log out for WHATEVER reason. Extreme Request: This can also apply to Ouro missions. WHY?! Old task forces also applying the WST Bonus. Or someone left during the Freakolympics. --- Afterthought: The LFG can teleport/rip you from your solo instance if it pops
  21. We both should know that any suggestion would go through the devs testing and such. while 3 bars is what i suggest they would do their own thing. Now, please keep in mind I am looking for more carrots on a stick to get people to do things. 3 bars of patrol is by far not set in stone by any means. and from personal experience, i am loving the whole Patrol Exp granted from Exploration badges at all levels.
  22. In my opinion this is not a bad thing. All of my melee alts generally use 38/41+ as mule powers and using all enhancement slots for more defense set bonuses. This also translates to my Sentinels because of the Armor secondary nature of things. I take boxing/kick in the 20s, tough at 32, weave at 35 and use anything after that are just mules. Having the ack-clin-en-aries/epic pools suck and skippable is a good thing from a min/max point of view

  24. City of Heroes isnt a "dps" game, there are so few things in this game that have a dps check requirement and even then, due to how.. "industrialized" the server/project has become with the easy access of incarnate things it makes personal dps even more moot. Even in warcraft there were people who just sat around all day whacking a target dummy as well as their own genitals because of how high dps they can get through a very specific way of doing it generally do not perform as well in practice because of factoring in of being out of range, or phase change, or invul period or even the targets armor and resistances. here we blow up billions of minions a day and move of all we keep moving around most of the time. this is why i disregard pylon or theorycrafters most of the time because those are just.. not the core of city of heroes
