Plant/Psi is a beast for a reason: +Regen +Rec, different damage type, nice AoEs, some skippable powers.

Taunt is also a really great debuff. The -100% range is really solid. So even if someone is coming into melee they're going to come closer to shoot you.

They're in the new 40-44 arc, for rogues, and are in the Riot in Talos Mission. The costume is 👌

Nothing too specific for us. Toggle suppression is handy - when you transform your other toggles stay active but don’t cost end - which is useful for tri forms. The power level changes are good too - we unlock the powers much earlier too.

I imagine this is a rare instance but: I was mid “the freakish lab” arc before P6 changes split ir up. I finished the arc, got Bile out, and it immediately restarted back to the “loot the unsuspecting council” mission. So I did that, did all the missions again, and it then gave me the same council mission again. Seems like a loop?

On Arachnos more generally. How do they really continue now? Obviously we’ve stopped Tyrant… Is Daddy Longlegs not livid we’ve taken that chance for revenge from him?

This is v exciting. As @EmperorSteele said, this defo seemed like a pipe dream cos it felt like a lot of work. Can you tease anything around the story? Obviously the last two are sort of linked to eachother, by my reading at least… [REDACTED] deaths and then the incarnate fall out from those and how it impacts the Phalanx… Is that sort of thread the tone or something off piste?

Would it help if we linked you to the various guides or the wiki pages? Because, to me, some people have really tried to explain things and I guess we’d like to know more. @Oklahoman isn’t wrong - some stuff is plainly not explained. And if it is, it’s changed cos of HC QoL updates (I.E. the incarnate stuff).

I look forward to this. As a Kheldian lover I’ve always been interested in the Nictus business and the lore behind this. Hadn’t properly read the story of this arc during the couple of times I’ve done it. Always found the mobs quite fun though. Looking forward to when this disclosure happens. Sort of related, what if your perception of how Arachnos feel about Nictus and the cysts? A threat to Recluse’s reign or another avenue for experimentation? Nictus Arachnoids? 😉 It’s been mentioned a couple of times here and on discord but the end of Pandora’s box sort of… broke The Zig and how it operates. Will that ever be explored? And a side Q: Can we expect another SSA type format (10-20, 20-30 etc) of a series of missions to tell a story like the others? But a HC focussed story, not the aforementioned Scir business.

Where are we up to Hero One? Next year is the 20th birthday of CoH right? Be an awful coincidence if the Rikti decided to rear their heads… I know the live team had some stuff they were working on around Scirocco… every now and then the cut scenes they made are shared on here. He’s obviously in a weird place where we know he’s a goody two shoes, recluse knows, Mot knows, but he’s still sat there glaring in GV.

Thanks for opening up this chat! As a big fan of the Freaklok, who got very excited with the sniff we had in the new arc, is there a big plan going forward? Is that more likely to end in a TF/SF or arc situation? It feels like it might impact things like Market Crash etc. If you can’t be that specific: Is there a plan to finish off the story? 🙂 Piecemeal’s arcs and character are great, and I hope their vision can be completed (also can we get a badge 😉)

We know you push this idea quite often.. While they may not have said a flat no, there have been other gentle suggestions that they aren’t doing that right now. They have other things on the plate. The 40-44 has the first time we can fight the Freaklok, Hero Corps heroes, and the PNCB (or what ever) actually pose quite a right I’ve found. I imagine they are all going to get fleshed out. like I said, there are places where this feedback will be considered. I’m not sure a forum post where you use words like “awful” evoke a lot of listening and motivation.

I’ve lead on the 40-44 arc probably about six/seven times now. I try to do a “for those not following the story…” each time we start a mission. Mostly because I am chatty. The reception on the runs has been largely positive, although I don’t ask if people mean the writing, the mobs (there are 3 new factions if you look around), the new maps, where the plot takes us, the challenge, or just “this is new!” when people say “thanks, that was fun!”. Ill admit people seem to assume the riot mission is the end and quit (Ouro), so maybe it does feel a little long. On the new factions front: Not long ago I did all of the Wailers arcs redside and 3 people on the team had never met them before. They’re hardly super-used. The new 30-34 arc is fun for them. I think it is fair to show off The Family, their singularities pack a punch now, and not long ago one of the Devs was talking about the future of The Warriors and how they were on the cards to be refreshed. I suspect it is a little bit of a “watch this space”. I run all of my alts through newer content (eg anything added near the end of Live and on HC). I know it is anecdotal, but I quite often get /t from people saying how much they enjoy them. Shauna’s arc where you get the Avenger badge ending, for example, is loved. The writing on these is much less than the Freaklok arcs, and Aeon, I genuinely think they took that feedback on board. Either way, why not get involved with the testing that is done to help this kind of thing? I’m sure a proof reader wouldn’t be sniffed at 🙂

Aye I’d recommend it. I was on IR for ages and finally got the HC launcher going. It took a funny turn though cos for some reason my ISP blocks Wine? Very weird

I think it’s cos IR isn’t as supported now? Most of it has been moved to the HC launcher?

In an ideal world I guess it’d be great if the PPD only fought you depending on the previous choices you’d made in the arc. But that might be a nightmare to do. but I kinda get the “it’s chaotic, they attack who looks suspicious”. There are a couple of… special mobs, let’s say, who are defo there for flavour too.

I did a “Zzzz” call just this week as we had an emp on the team. Someone replied “???”, asked me to explain, so I said “On live…”. Felt pretty old.

Sovereignty/ Sovereign pretty much cover this on Excel I’d say. I end up teaming with lots of em. Whatever happened to CC? Also understand if you’d rather not say. I swear I saw one a couple of days ago.

As someone whose PB mostly lives redside: Mayhem Missions = schadenfreude.

I think the issue is the level ranges of that mob are low and they run off when lots are dying.
