  1. Sorry to be that guy: for those who want an easy way to fight more Igneous there are three missions with them in great numbers in Who Will Die (part 1) and they go up to at least level 22 🙂 and it’s a very fun arc (with a bonus map of the hollows on fire!)
  2. fair enough! Just spit balling 🙂 the Shauna arc’s Avenger cutscene has been universally loved
  3. Frostfire even gives a badge now!
  4. Hello, Still having this issue in 2023! 🙂
  5. What a great name - can't believe that wasn't taken.
  6. I try and run red-side content every couple of weeks on toons I've got coming up the ranks. But I'm UK based and - while I might not fill the team - people hop over... "if you build it they will come" type vibes.
  7. I know Piecemeal isnt about anymore but just thought I'd say: I've been intentionally running groups through the HC arcs - including this one - and the feedback has been really, really positive. The whole arc is old-school challenging and fun. What I've noticed though is that a lot of the gen-pop, who aren't on the forums loads, aren't aware that HC has added content like this. I wonder if there's a way to add a little symbol or something in Ouro for people so it stands out.
  8. I thought they lost the rights or something? And, sadly, timey-wimey seems to be the MCU's FOTM at the mo. My kingdom for a Marvel film where the main villain isnt killed but just incarcerated. They're running out quick at this rate. The lack of Ultron (Spader is a dream) for example is a massive loss.
  9. #GetCrumpetAtDisney Yeah Captain Marvel has lost her way a bit I think... "Which space nonsense can she fly into now". Civil War 2 was a bit of a wet fart too. I've been enjoying the most recent Daredevil stuff. Every time I try and get into Krakoa I feel a bit like I fell asleep during a film and am trying to piece together what I've missed enough so I can nod along. Dan Slott's She Hulk is quite fun - NGL I haven't watched the show because I got worried about the reviews.
  10. It’s always a bit sad that often the most successful comic/hero games are mobile apps. But I guess the “collect them all!” Nature of multiple characters is always going to attract monetisation. I played the PS4 Spider-Man games (PP&MM) and while I love them… I haven’t played much more since. I think this game filled the niche of the market of wanting to be super, without being SupermanTM. Most companies think we want to be him, which is then hard to get the cash flowing in.
  11. I'm a white, straight, male and I've found the newest load of comics/shows about, and often written by, people who aren't like me to be much more interesting than the old guard. I'm a Marvel man more than DC so my examples are from there: Miles Morales, imo, is a better Spider-Man atm - he's more for the little guy, its just that the little guy now isn't "white nerd". Jane's run with the hammer was a great message that being a hero doesn't mean you have to be a god. Captain Carter I haven't read, but everyone's picked up the shield at some point. It would make sense that the X-Men would introduce conversations around sexuality and gender identities into their story, they've always been about equal rights. Luke Cage has always been about race relations, the Netflix show - sadly - was able to reference things happening in recent memory. I was always sad Disney didn't make Iron Man an alcoholic in the films, reading the comic where he deals with it was so interesting and probably the first time I'd ever seen alcoholism portrayed and discussed. I will admit I knew very little about Islam, and found Ms Marvel (both the show and comics) to be a really joyful way into understanding some of the practices. I was 10 when 9/11 happened, I live in the UK and I couldn't understand the gravity of it, but there was a beautiful piece done where hero and villains came together to help the city, it was about grief and shock, I got the political message in that. I could go on with lots of other examples. There are still straight, white, male protagonists. Captain America. Iron Man. Daredevil. The Punisher. Peter Parker. They've changed over time, some have gained more depth, some have tried to become allegories for things happening in the real world - to help people think about things in a different way. If you have issues with the messages being brought up, it might say more about you.
  12. LOVE that a GM is reporting this. ONE OF US, ONE OF US, ONE OF US.
  13. Comics and superhero media have always had political messages. It isn't new and it isn't just Disney. Sadly he's not on Twitter anymore so can't send him the link 😢
  14. @Yomo Kimyata and Snarky... This is to both of you really: I've never played stone armour on a tank before. I've PUG'd with a stone tank and I wasn't overly impressed... However Im wondering if it might've been their 'user error'. How do the new changes make it? I actually quite like how ugly granite is. Sorry, I know this if off-topic.
  15. I'm sure you've done it before but can I recommend doing Piecemeal's arcs if you want that feeling? I did them a couple of nights ago with a team of lvl 5-26s (with a couple of exempers) and the mission in the rave room can go really, really badly if people aren't paying attention. We only won cos we had two storm toons without IOs so the KB really helped with the bombs. We had a few faceplants too - nostalgic in its own way ❤️
  16. Ah yes you're right - there is only 1 option and it looks like flying and not the new hover animation?
  17. Positron(s), Silver Mantis SF (that final mission is chaos and I love it), ITF, Trading Places, and - because it should count - Pandora's box Part 5 with the big monster Nemesis.
  18. Costume creator, alt option, no stance or something I think.
  19. You’re right about the corr. It’ll be VERY team based. Procs, debuffs and heals. But not bad I think. The blaster is quite interesting I think… Use those PaPs, get a costume and RP it as a clockwork made from main earth and alt earth scraps.
  20. For those in the know, Montague is saying “greetings, PlayerName” when you start his arc.
  21. I teamed with a storm/psi defender over the weekend and really rated it. Strong pairing. She had some IOs in the mid-20s but really wasn't too jacked. Really strong toon/ player.
  22. Can I recommend Water/Kin? I've got one and it is very fun. It offers some very mild mitigation, the steam power can be proc'd nicely, and scourge is good in whirlpool. I've got one to 50 and its a really (wet) blast. Tidal is a bit naff but fine really.
  23. For the first time in a while I got excited about a toon and - I know it’s early - cracked this one open and it’s now level 26. Only used boosters until 17, just lots of arcs, not TFs, really enjoying it. Say hello if you see Neutrino Nights! So I rolled again: Got a Dark/Kin controller. I’ve not used dark control before. EDIT: I’ve made the controller and absolutely love it. So much more than the corruptor. Valerie Void is now level 29, no boosters, just arcs 🙂 lovely work @Troo - thanks to you I’ve found a new toy.
