  1. Ghost of Scrappy Doo walking directly into the Black Market isn't entirely fixed. It still happens very infrequently, not nearly as often prior to "the fix." I think I've seen it twice since then, and I've farmed him on occasion. Also, Ghost of Scrappy Doo only exists for 30 minutes after being spawned. If he isn't defeated after 30 minutes, he despawns. The only GM I know that despawns if not defeated within a certain time frame. Probably because it's so easy to spawn him again. Also, as far as GMs being ignored... yeah. They seem to be on every shard other than Excelsior. This whole thread seems to be an Excelsior issue, if I'm frank, not so much a Homecoming issue. Ironically enough, at least on Torchbearer, the only GM that isn't ignored is Ghost of Scrapyard because he's usually intentionally spawned and quickly dispatched.
  2. Yourself only, as it is entirely client side.
  3. From what I've heard through the grapevine, there's been a bit of a migration from Everlasting to Excelsior over the past several months as some people have found Everlasting too cliquish. So that tracks.
  4. That definitely sounds like an Excelsior issue. I remember having that issue once before I left Excelsior... spent 35 minutes summoning Deathsurge, spent a few minutes looking for him only to find someone else already engaged and wouldn't invite me. It was quite annoying. But I just came back later that night, did it again, and found Deathsurge before anyone else did. A couple of people showed up during the fight and I invited them because I know how annoying it is not to be.
  5. 1. You can still invite people to your team so they get credit, and just ask them to stand back and not do anything if you're testing a build. I've done that a couple of times. 2. Why would you wait months for Deathsurge? You can spawn him by defeating 100 gremlins in Cap au Diable. Takes me about 35 minutes solo.
  6. Agreed. Electrical Affinity is great and one of the best support sets, but it's clearly not what the OP is looking for.
  7. Still isn't. Soloed Lusca a couple of months ago... took me a hour and nine minutes on a Thugs/Time Mastermind.
  8. FWIW, the Council Goliath War Walker in Boomtown can't be soloed, and as far as I'm aware of no one has soloed the Seed of Hamidon. They can both be duoed with the right power sets and builds, however. Also, Ghost of Scrapyard can be spawned again within a couple of minutes of defeat, if you'd like. Also FWIW, this issue only occurs on Excelsior and possibly Everlasting. I know on Excelsior (at least a year ago anyhoo), it's an absolute race to find and defeat a GM as soon as it is announced, before someone else does. On Torchbearer, GMs are largely left alone for days. I've logged off next to Babbage in Boomtown, logged back on that character two days later and Babbage was still right there. I imagine the same applies for Indomitable and Reunion.
  9. It's sounding like you want a Controller, so I'd go with Fire/Thermal. It'd be very thematic and extremely effective. If you want to go all in on the debuffing angle, there'd also be Dark/Thermal Corruptor. Not as thematic nor as heavy hitting, but very safe and very supporty.
  10. Primarily debuffs, with some AoE buffing, and no anchors. You're looking at Thermal Radiation or Cold Domination. Both will do what you want just fine. Just Thermal gives +res buffs while Cold gives +def buffs. Personally, I'd value +res more because there's +def buffs out the wazoo normally. Thermal's first power is a PBAoE heal, but it's minor, and more useful for yourself IMO. Everything else is ranged. Now as to the damage power set... Water and Electrical are both terrific for AoE damage, meh single target. Beam Rifle is terrific for single target damage, meh at AoE damage, but increases your -regen and -res. Dark Blast is decent at single target damage, meh at AoE damage, but you'll be adding a bunch of -to-hit debuffs to help keep your teammates safe. Personally, I'd recommend Corruptor over Defender, as you'll do more damage, and the differences between Defender and Corruptor as far as debuff values are largely overkill. If you want to shut down groups of baddies and be useful in killing AVs, your best bets would be either Fire Control or Illusion Control for Controllers.
  11. I, for one, am glad that the Marvel MMOG in development was canceled. It looks dreadful from the leaked screenshots.
  12. If you're using the Homecoming launcher, click the "..." at the bottom right of Homecoming, then click "Verify."
  13. Yep. The other shards have been fine.
  14. Exactly what Luminara said. Go to Echo Plaza or Ouroboros, talk with Luna, and convert Incarnate threads into super inspirations. Put them up on the black market. Profit. Every 30 Incarnate threads can be turned into 500k INF minimum. Usually more around 800k - 1.2 million.
  15. If people want to PvP, go for it. But IMO it's a bad idea to mix both PvE and PvP. It was a bad idea in issue 6, it would be a bad idea now. No, people killing you in a PvP zone isn't griefing... they're PvPing. So I just avoid those zones entirely. I'd also avoid what was discussed entirely. Here's the deal, not that it's anyone's business. I was born both physically disabled and a dwarf. Between the two, I was bullied mercilessly in school, especially in middle and high schools. It reached a point where I was placed in a mental hospital at age eighteen for suicidal ideation. It took years of therapy and self-reflection, but I eventually got over that. But every day remains a challenge for me. Some days I can barely get out of bed in the morning. So I play video games to relax and take my mind off of things. I don't mind challenging myself in PvE content, but competing against other players? Nope. Never going to happen. I was told when I was younger that there was a chance that I wouldn't live to see 40. I'm 45 now thankfully, but my physical disabilities have been slowly getting worse as I age. So I'm going to play to relax while I can. For those who like to compete? Have at it.
  16. 1. Your recharge is pretty low. Even slotting three level 50 generic IO enhancements in Hasten (which is generally a waste, you're better off slotting two and then boosting each by +5), your Hasten is down for over eighteen seconds. 2. The reasons your damage is substantially higher are because you have Charge Up and Targeting Drone's Gaussian's Chance for Build-Up proc both enabled, and Quick Form disabled. You're getting very inflated damage numbers. Turn off Charge Up and the Gaussian proc, and turn on Quick Form, and you'll see the numbers are much closer. The Zapp in my build does 385.8 damage, compared to your 365.1. My Thunderous Blast does 581.5 damage, compared to your 669.10. 3. I prefer Fly, but Super Speed or Speed of Sound is pretty much a requirement for speed running. Since most of my friends over the years prefer to speed run, I compromise by taking both on every character. I use Fly and Hover to get around outdoors, and Super Speed or Speed of Sound in missions. Evasive Maneuvers is more for just a quick and easy LotG 7.5% recharge mule than anything at this point, after Page Two. And an extra 20% defense to everything while stealthing glowies is nice. 4. Building purely for ranged defense I've found to be a mistake more often than not, especially on Blasters. Yes, Devices is mostly ranged, but you still have to get up fairly close for Taser, and some mobs like to get up in your face no matter what you do, (*cough* Cimerorans *cough*). 5. I prefer either Clarion Core Destiny or Ageless Destiny (either Core or Radial, depending), for my "squishy" character builds.
  17. Last night on Torchbearer, I tried converting a bunch of enhancements, and after a little bit it stopped working entirely. I clicked the button several times but nothing happened. I thought that maybe it was lag or my connection, but I could do other things. Converting enhancements just stopped working. I tried again a little later and it worked again.
  18. The SG base (and everything in it), would go bye-byes. The auction house though would remain unchanged.

annoying, quickly. Although it may be necessary on this character.
  20. It's been like that since live. Ghost of Scrapyard is just incredibly chatty. It's a known bug, but considered very low priority IIRC.
  21. The Marvel MMOG has been canceled as it was deemed "too risky" by management. The money allocated for its development will instead be used to beef up Lord of the Rings Online and DC Universe Online. This explains this...
  22. Yep to all of that. The problem is that I've found that the majority of people under age 40, and especially under age 35, realize all of that... and just don't care. To them, privacy is dead. Doesn't exist. And they mostly refuse to use forums or other means of communication as they're considered outdated and hard to grok, so if you want to communicate with other gamers under age 35 you pretty much must use Discord.
