  1. Wrong board for that. This is a Help and Support forum. Some context would be appreciated regardless. What's up?
  2. Please state the nature of the medical emergency.
  3. Can you do a ping test to make sure the connection to the update servers can reach you? Press Start and type "cmd" then press enter. Type the following two lines, one after another: ping 51.79.19.163 ping 162.219.27.194 There should be four lines on each as a reply, with time in ms (your Ping time). Send us a screenshot of how it goes, or let us know if it says anything other than "Reply" on the first four lines. (Or if it says "Destination Host Unreachable" anywhere.)
  4. This is common with AV interference. Make sure that path (C:\CoH\hc-bin64) is in your Antivirus app as an exception. (Don't scan the folder.)
  5. You will need to make a shim for your graphics card. See this post above: Read carefully, and good luck!
  6. It's been said already, and making a thread for "I disagree that this matters" isn't going to change one thing: Just be cool. Making a toon name to aggravate others on purpose is not being cool. Disagree with it all you want, but them's the brakes. If you see people trying to troll with COVID-19 or Novel Coronavirus themed toons, or aggravating others based on current news, report it and move on. Thanks. Thread locked.
  7. This is common behavior with Anti-Virus software. That address in the first popup, make sure your AV scanner has it listed as an exception. Also, I strongly recommend NOT putting Tequila in any of the following folders: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) C:\Users C:\Windows You can make a folder in the C: drive of your own. "Games", "Tequila", and "Homecoming" all being possibilities.
  8. If the character is rubberbanding (they move, but snap back to a starting point over and over), that's a network problem. The client is still connected but keeps timing out. Open /netgraph 1 and see if there's yellow and red blocks when this happens.
  9. As Apparition said, this has been a problem for a while. Respecs, Enhancement Conversions, and Catalysts shouldn't be applied in Bases. If stuff is missing, check Base Storage to see if it 'landed' elsewhere.
  10. Okay, I've bifurcated most posts discussing Titan Weapons off this thread. (Don't worry, they're intact for continued discussion.) While this is a General Feedback post, please keep discussion focused on the release itself.
  11. Client was unable to reach our authserver. That means a network issue: Check router settings, if you're on Wi-fi see if using Ethernet clears it up, or if the computer can't get online that needs fixed first before you can play.
  12. The inactive account policy only would affect character names, not accounts. We don't purge users who don't play the game for long stretches. Occam's Razor: is it the same email address as what they used to sign up? I maintain several addresses myself, I've used a wrong address a time or two when trying to get access to an old account in the past. If they keep account emails, searching for Homecoming in the email account will reveal if it was used to sign up for a game account or not.
  13. Possibilities: A lot of the crash to desktop issues have been fixed in the modern client, if you're on Safe Mode, please use the new ones only (32 or 64 bit only.) If you have an AntiVirus or endpoint protection app on your system, it might be closing City of Heroes since it's an unsigned app. You'll need to set the entire tequila directory and subdirectories as exempt from scanning. Check your system logs. Are there graphics card issues recorded around the same time as the crash? Your drivers might be involved. If your internet connection has timeouts, the delays may make loading zones difficult. See if changing connection types (phone hotspot or Ethernet or wifi) clears it up as a check to see if Network issues are involved.
  14. Is the issue still occurring?
  15. Most of the time, its an incomplete patch. See if removing the maps .piggs from the PIGGS folder and re-validating with Tequila (or close and reopen Tequila) clears it up.
  16. And green light. Please stay on topic. We're here to play a video game, not argue etymology. (There's other places for that.)
  17. A screenshot of the error would be helpful. I'm not sure if this is concerning Visual C++ Runtime, Graphics Support, or both.
  18. I can't give specific guidance for Mac users (I'd need one to be able to help with it) but have you reviewed solutions in this thread? There's a number of fixes concerning Wine mentioned.
  19. As a heads up, Safe Mode has been pulled from the Staging Servers. This is probably as best of a warning as I can make. This is the last chance players have to turn in incidents concerning the use of the new client not working while having Safe Mode as a fallback. We'll still handle support, but going forward, waiting means losing access to Homecoming Servers.

  21. Never heard of a password field being greyed out on login. The Login button may grey out if a username or password isn't present, but no one has a blank username or password in Homecoming. Servers may grey out if the servers are under maintenance. If this is the case after entering your password, you will see a Code of Conduct to agree to first. That confirms you were able to log in successfully. It'd be weird if your family can log in but you can't, but it proves your account username and password are working. Are you sure it's the password field?
  22. You mentioned laptop... is another computer able to connect in your house to Homecoming? This would most likely rule out the router: if one system can get through, it's most likely a configuration issue with the laptop. If neither, then it's a setting in your router somewhere.
  23. More details would be helpful. What are you running?
  24. Gentle reminder to stay on topic. Reminder: lacing personal attacks with replies will get posts removed, regardless who is replying. Just report the issue and move on.
