What ees happening?

I run a SB/Rad Blaster and have great fun with her and find no real problems with being able to deal with trouble. As has been said several times, the key is knowing how its uniqueness works and how to use it properly. Sure there are areas for improvement but again, as several have said here, there are other sets that are way more long in the tooth that could use some attention. Its new, it's gimmicky at times and I love it because it isn't just a copy-->paste-->reskin and rename power.

That's cool, if they do something to it, that's cool too. All I am saying is that many of the powers are useful and players do take them and the set is not totally broken. I am not trying to convert anyone in either direction.

Or if you want to play solo, get back on the tram and choose Steel Canyon South. From there you can street hunt your way north gradually seeing foes level up until you reach your toons ability limit. Plus unlike Skyway City it is relatively flat.

No I mean Dark/Dark. I totally use everything there except Smite, Shadow Maul and Midnight Grasp (as I said no melee). Soul Drain goes off just before I Blackstar their asses. Touch of Beyond is fundamentally spammed. In team furballs I am wading in and firing Dark Consumption. But from Range in addition to all of the Dark Blast goodness there is Penumbral Grasp with its -Tohit and Dark Pit for disorient. So many wonderful tools to work with. Now I don't fire off the Shroud that often due to it being an aggro magnet, but when the team has the enemy busy, sure its on doing a little (though I am tempted to dump it for something, I just havent looked hard at it)

I have a Dark/Dark Blaster on Excelsior called Auntie Umbra and I have great fun playing her. I like others did not take the melee powers and built her to be more of a ranger and her set allows that. Oh sure I will in close for some Dark Consumption and Blackstar action but mostly, at range doing my darkity dark dark thing. I am not super detail numbers guy, I generaly comment based on how my character feels when I play and I have very little to complain about as it stands with the powers available as they are now. I find her more robust than other Blasters.

Yeah I will also shout for Atomic. I am running it on a DP Blaster for some nice Blapper Synergy as well as on a Storm Blaster where I am working the fringes of my maelstrom of Chaos! I too do not lean fully into procs except in the Cloud. P.S. I dont think the Psychic Blast changes are all that great. Slow fire powers with low damage are still slow fire with low damage.

I played a Thugs/Poison on live that I struggled to 42 on before deleting out of frustration, just wasn't fun to play. Then again I find farming to be even less fun. I have zero problems finding teams any time I am on who are doing a variety of things and find any character I bring welcome. Fun is where you find it so to each is own unless it hurts others.

I hate Playlist Player more than Dad Joke or Pun War Player and less than Panda Player. Of course I enjoy laser enemas and shaving my legs with a cheese grater more than Panda Player.

I love politics. Originally Political Science was my major (Asian Studies focus) then it became my minor when I realized I could make real money with computers. I like to get into spirited debates with people who are willing to do so. And that to me is the key and is why I don't drag politics into the game. Not everyone wants to hear it, regardless of the why, and the game is for lack of a better term a public venue so you need to respect others as well as yourself. I feel similarly about other forms of politics like religion and social commentary, keep them out of the game. Its escapism this little pixel world and even though there are political concepts and even messages woven into it; they aren't real. Plus General Chat is s bubbling cauldron of suck when it isn't politics. I want to blow my freaking brains out when the idiot panda crap starts. Its not cute or funny; just annoying. But see there is the best example you can find. A stunted species of fundamentally lazy animals that technically should be extinct, played as powerful super heroes, that isn't real.🤣 Also Acme Rocket Skates are prone to premature fuel explosions.💥

Yeah. I have done it like maybe seven times and I still have no idea what's up with that story beyond some pizza and beer chugging Goldbrick Princess and some Inception fever dream space place. A gravity well? I got a wrench? I mean it was on number 7 that I realized there are DE Giant Monsters in the warp warp warp mission. In the Bizzaro World of Superman someone in LFG will say "Kill All Aeon, Normal Diff - Trying for Becky Badge."

Well that's somewhat true but there are a number of native villain groups you do not see on the mainland (except in instanced missions); Gold Brickers, Luddites, Snakes, Coralax (yes there are a few that pop up in Hollows but only after CoV came out). If you read deep into the Mu/Circle/Coralax stories there is a rich and local history there to work with that is not driven by the mainland (or European) thought. I mean the issues between Hequat and Ermeeth and the deal with the Prince of Demons and the fall of two civilizations that technically haven't fallen is a massive playground of story telling. I have several alts and a hundred plus pages of story built around it; I mean my character Runeslingers main story arc after the defeat of most of the Pantheon is helping the spirits of Oranbega break the Blood Pact with the Prince of Demons and make peace with the Mu.

Well the only thing I can say is don't go overboard and end up becoming unintelligible like some of those cats in Praetoria (ugh First Ward). The point on the French is interesting when you read on the Rogue Isles lore (etoile isles if I remember right, spelling is probably wrong). Martin Henri and the Luddites may well be holdovers so maybe there are some hooks in their patter.

Oh I still collect. I technically have three Badgers (explore, history) but all will try for badges. Its the ones that require total time sinks or expenditures of resources (merits or Aether) that I don't sweat. I am also not sweeping areas over and over again to get defeat badges or going on Fake Nemesis Farms. Those can come through game play. Being a total OCD Badger on live as High Beam eventually led to being one of the several reasons I didn't get as much joy from playing as I did at the beginning. Get Older = Learn Lessons

I do not miss my badge hunting OCD at all . . . But they are shiny. <eye twitch initiates>
