Yep, Wind, Water, Time and Chaos, those are my top 4 Controller dream sets I'd like to see. Three of them seem self-explanatory but Chaos is my dream. Work with me here. The powers are random. Yes they do follow the basic pattern; ST immob, ST Hold, AoE immob, etc. (with variance). But the trick is the effect is random. Fire the hold once and its ice, fire it again and its dark. You can still depend on it to the degree where it will hold or immob. BUT, every once and a while true chaos occurs. maybe it doesn't hold but just immobs or maybe it clears a lock, or heals them. Nothing crazy to where its play/team breaking but the aspect of variance would make the set very unique. I have a ton of other things that I have thought about with this but you get the point, let your imagination run wild. And that cats and kittens, that ability so stop and "imagine if" powers or stories, that is why I love this game.

Why is power armor so uncommon in NPC groups?

I do the Penelope Yin/Psyche Flashback Task Forces singularly for the purpose of punching Clamor in the face repeatedly for her wretched costume. -

I would think that since Wind was at least partly in the code at shutdown, the stance of "individual lanes of creation" wouldn't apply. I honestly don't like that concept as a whole as is tantamount to simply giving up when it makes total sense to implement (synergy, comic booky, fun). Thunderspy wasn't the only one that put in Wind Control, one of the others (maybe Unity) also had it sort of up and running (it was super broken though). Now if there was like unique art (like the Knights MM power set on Thunderspy) then I agree with not copying someone elses work there. Yeah, but that can be altered. Then again that didn't stop the from deploying Symphonic (Symphony) Control with terrible sounds instead of sounds that were symphonic.

Plus if it is ever developed, during Beta everyone will complain about the KNOCKBACK of giant gusts of wind in interior spaces and how it ruins the set. They will be demand that it be changed to knockdown or more preferably removed completely. Just look at the posts that went on during Storm Blast and say that isnt exactly what would happen and thereby ruin a seemingly unique power set. FYI I played it on Thunderspy, it can be fun. would roll one on HC is it ever came about.

Crey Corporation doesn't have the problem Stark seems to have with regards to keeping control of their armor. Manticore Task Force 2: Armor Wars -

Pretty much Blaster anything, they are the dominant AT in my collection for a reason, but if not Blaster then ranged. I don't have as many alts as others, but I have ten Blasters, seven of which are 50's. This is followed by Controllers then Sentinels then Corruptors, all ranges and blasty. I have others, have a few melee (tank/Brute mostly) but I have singles of outliers that never caught with me (1 Stalker, 1 Scrapper, 1 Dom, a widow and an arachnos Soldier). But yeah love me some blasty blast blast. Hmmm. I need to roll another Blaster. Rad something . . . Or maybe a fourth DP blaster. The colors kids, the colors!

All of my joking aside, I never had vitriol towards PvPers, if that's what floated their boat then good on them. My problem was that the game was altered to accommodate PvP and in doing so altered how I (and everyone else, even PvPers, played). That was, and I often feel still is, one of the big reasons why so many people feel so much negativity towards PvP (and to a lesser extent PvPers). There have been several posts in this thread, which has remained surprisingly civil, that point to the concept that if all of the ways to gain an edge (Set IO, etc) were zeroed out and it was singularly defined by core power selection, build, and game play that they might, maybe PvP. Maybe. Thankfully on Homecoming, at least as far as I can tell, there is no intent to try and alter the PvE experience for PvP. If they can find ways to make PvP more . . . accommodating, or fun, that would be what would bring people in to at least try; not shiny's that can be got in several other places without the hassle. My badger has the badges, and the rewards from the zones (missiles from Warburg, Longbow Mech from RV) are vastly overshadowed now between equivalent buys (HVAS) and Incarnate powers. Forget about the risk, the time sink isn't worth it. I am a Care Bear (as my sone calls me when I occasionally jump on EVE Online). I have been ganked by my son in Low Sec, so I stay in High Sec and let him have his fun. When my son briefly played CoH he ganked me in Siren's Call and Warburg but didn't play long because the PvP was what he craved and CoH was "weak sauce" to him; so back to EVE he went. Good on him.- 140 replies

That commercial used to piss me off so bad because no kid craves applesauce the moment they are able to form words and feed themselves. Its like Christmas socks, or ribbon candy at Halloween. Dammit now I am angry again! Curse you @JasperStone -

Simply stated, my Mercs/Traps MM, the Munitions Mistress. She was the only MM I played on live and the only villain I ran to 50 and ran the same on Homecoming. I have 7 books worth of story written on her exploits and evolution. On Homecoming I have a 50 Demon/Dark, and a 45 Necro/Time and rolled a Thugs . . . something till I deleted her at 38, but with MM as my MM I have fun, even before they improved Mercs, now just more fun.

The beautiful Aeon Strike Force and it's tragic failure

Love this movie. Love the Blue Raja and the Shoveller and the Spleen and The Bowler. "I shovel. I shovel well!" Makes me want to jump in the Herkemer Battle Jitney and beat up some of the Disco Boys. -
They didn't have much recoil, even when ground-mounted because much of the combustion-compression from the shot was vented out the back, reducing the actual blowback when the round left the barrel as well as acting as a bit of a compensator. When I was in the Navy doing comms support with the Marines we worked with some third-world militaries that still had them in their inventory along with the Carl Gustavs. Obsolete as hell now with the changes in armor over the last 40 years but still, kind of cool.
