  1. I tried something like this for my Illusion character; it’s a lot. Between having to resummon PA and the costume change lockout timer, I either kept forgetting or stopped trying. Very hopefully curious about your results!
  2. Are we really still looking at pro wrestlers for superhero movies? Really? In the year of our lorb 2023?
  3. Right on, thank you. Good news for me because I like Reactive more, bad news for me for ‘wasting’ all that incarnate salvage 😅
  4. Are people noticing significant differences between Degen and Reactive? I’m getting very similar times with either.
  5. Mutants have the "X-gene", that's why they show up on things like Sentinel scanners (and why my No-Prize brain rationalizes humans being afraid of mutants on sight while simultaneously stanning dudes who can burn down city blocks)
  6. Took a couple passes with a not-quite-there En/En/Body Stalker (T3 Musc, T2 Reactive, no Hybrid yet) that I've done some objectively non-optimal things with (oh hi procced out Cross Punch!). High end: ~405 DPS (2 min 18 seconds) Low end: ~383 DPS (2 min 30 seconds) Pretty swingy because of Build Up/Hide proccing, EnM shenanigans, a funky attack chain, yadda yadda. ("Chain": Slow ET > TF > Fast ET > Cross Punch > AS, and then it breaks so I just do whatever)
  7. I’m honestly surprised that people don’t delete General Chat from their tab as soon as they log in and set up their UI. Like, why?

    Are or Mace?

They’re Scrappers, but I have tricked out 50s of Mace (/Ice) and Axe (/Stone), and I find Axe much more fun, mostly because of exactly what @nihilii said. Both sets can have a full AoE [edit: well, multi-target] cycle, but Axe just feels better at it.
  9. Depending on how much you want to invest, that Corruptor ATO with the % +End can really help mitigate one of Storm's 'weak spots' (it's pretty End heavy)

    AV/GM killer

I’ve taken the same Illusion primary character through three different iterations (/Posion, /Rad and now /Traps). The Traps isn’t done but even without Hybrid or any T4s it’s putting Pylons and AVs down the fastest (and in some cases, at all; the /Poison stalls out at +3 Diabolique) EDIT: I see now why folks don’t toggle on Hybrid for Pylon times. The Ill/Traps hit 97 seconds (524 DPS, I think?) with the t3 Assault on
  11. Just got forcefully booted from Everlasting, the last of the still standing shards
  12. oh nice, that’s absolutely worth losing the OF proc. Thanks! EDIT: made the switch and saw an IMMEDIATE difference; tested against a 52 Nightstar and got her down in half the time (Ill/Poison). Thanks again!
  13. Off the top of my head: Sonic Blast (most of the set) Sonic Siphon Melt Armor Corrosive Enzymes Acid Mortar A whole bunch of Trick Arrow
  14. My absolute favorite Superman cover. "Superman's Pal" seems like a real crappy life. (Apparently I'm crap at adding images to posts here) https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Superman's_Pal,_Jimmy_Olsen_Vol_1_30?file=Jimmy_Olsen_30.jpg

    Drops A Pin

    Real quiet in here
  16. A personal one that I always, always forget until some ostensibly well-meaning player reminds me: Options-> Prompt Teleport
  17. Ah, jealous of the ability to change Epics without losing theme. Although no complaints about Elec Mastery on the Storm/Sonic.
  18. Ugggh, that’s exactly what my broken clip was an image of!
  19. This is just one character over 1000 character slots. Free name changes ftw
  20. So I’ve started focusing pretty exclusively on just one character, and started thinking about running a dual build for the first time ever. I’m a live vet so the concept isn’t particularly new to me, but I’m wondering what kind of fundamental changes people make when they implement their second (and/or third) builds. For an example or some context: my main build is a Storm/Sonic soft capped to range and resist capped to S/L/E, but gave up a good amount of recharge to get there. I’m thinking that with the second build I’ll just go whole hog for recharge. Anyone else make good use of this feature?
  21. Just as an update: I had some good success against three of the tankier AVs (again, they’re level 50s) in Dominatrix, Marauder and Nightstar (the rematch!). I was able to perma hold and solo all of them (T3 Assault and Degenerative) without temps/insps/pets. Again, no Mids, so it’s been a lot of trial and error. I’ve got myself to a chain of Dominate-Seismic-Heavy Mallet-Dominate-Hurl Boulder-repeat. Dominate is 4 Basilisks/Glad %Dam/Ghost Widow %Dam, Seismic is 5 Heca/Unbreakable %Dam, Heavy Mallet and Hurl Boulder both frankenslotted for max dam + 3 Dam Procs in each. 223 DPS vs a Pylon. There are definitely better chains to be built, but probably at the loss of the perma hold.
  22. @Onlyasandwich The issue I've run into with the big-time procced out Dominate is that I can't hold AVs for very long. I've tried both a 4 piece of Basilisks + Apoc & Unbreakable %Dams, and the straight 1 Acc/End & 5 Dam procs. The latter is of course a lot more damage, but I'm not sure it's worth the trade off of losing control over the AV. @Mezmera I was having the same thought about Dominate; "do I even need this?" But as I've squared off against more and more of the AVs, the Domination/Power Up/Dominate/Seismic Smash combo keeps escalating in necessity. The reason I was considering the heals in Mesmerize is because there always seems to be some point when an AV breaks free; maybe the RNG hated you at key moments in your Power Up cycle, who knows. They usually get a hit in before I can react and sleep them, and that hit usually hurts a LOT. I figured spamming a Time Out button with a double-procced heal would be a good way to mitigate that.
  23. I’ve got this Mind/Earth/Fire that I really like who’s getting close to being “done” (I think). Mids doesn’t work for me so I don’t have a build to post, this is more theorizing. Since I’m still missing a couple Purple sets, my attack chain is a little wonky. I’ve been warming up against level 50 AVs, and a sleeper (heh) hit for me has been tossing a few Mesmerizes while the PToD are up. I started doing it just to fill my attack chain, but it’s been huge for interrupting the AV’s attacks, letting Barrier come back up. Yes this slows me down because of the Regen, but I’ve got enough ST damage (backed by Hybrid and Reactive) that I’ve been able to down Infernal, Battle Maiden, Bobcat and Neuron without Insps, Temps or Lore Pets (I’ll see you in Ouro after my build is done, Nightstar). Anyway: I’m wondering if keeping Mesmerize in the attack chain isn’t a bad idea. I was thinking of slotting the Sleep and Ranged Damage Heal%, Apoc and Gladiator’s Javelin. Spamming that during PToD (hopefully just for now) is the idea. is this dumb? Will this all be obviated once I fight Big Boy 54 AVs?
