  1. How are people who want to engage in ERP supposed to recognize each other’s shared interest in that without either putting it in their bios or randomly soliciting people? What’s your proposed alternative?
  2. Yes, many powers drain end, but this is about -Recovery.
  3. Yes. There's a post halfway down this thread that does a good job of explaining End drain/recovery and mobs. Also here's a little chart of -Recovery powers (where Defender is an AT option, I used those values). Forgive my spelling errors, typing with a cast is hard. EDIT: bah, missed Galvanic Sentinel and Discharge. Drain Psyche really is wild.
  4. I’ve tried a bunch of sapping builds and my favorite is Elec/Energy Sent
  5. Do folks still run these? I've been futzing around with my main's* build/Incarnate abilities lately and the current version pulled off 3 things it hasn't been able to before the most recent respec: soloing a Pylon, a +1 Chimera and the Trapdoor test. None of these are eye-popping or anything, but it's cool to go from "couldn't do any one of those things" to "can do all those things". *Pain/Sonic/Dark Def with nothing but concept choices (Agility, Paralytic, Clarion for the relevant incarnates; Paralytic I sometimes have to switch out for Degen)
  6. Popped my Symph/Storm into a 4/8 Trapdoor and finished in about 7 minutes. Not a great time, but I thought it was respectable. That character isn't soft-capped to anything but is carrying pretty much every damage proc I could squeeze in there while still hitting Perma-Hasten. Not being soft-capped really kills my time (repositioning, etc.). (summoning LStorms at the top of the 'chutes' and dropping Freezing Rain & Nado and then going to town with the cones feels downright unfair)
  7. What names have you found so far?
  8. Not sure if y'all did what you were gonna do, but it's working much better now!
  9. Been having issues all morning (on Everlasting but also just connecting to the game generally).
  10. Do you have the Panacea and Performance Shifter procs slotted? Sometimes when they proc simultaneously or close to it, your bar jumps up a noticeable amount. This would also explain how it happens between fights. On the other side, I’ve lost count of how many times I wondered why my End suddenly dipped/recovered slow and the answer was “Hasten crash, dummy”
  11. Dark also has an entirely different Build Up type power, is incredibly proc-friendly, and has Dark Consumption to prop up your End until you get that sorted. (This isn’t me suggesting Dark per se, just making the case for its synergy)
  12. I only remembered that mechanics interplay from a Kin/Sonic thread back in the day; it’s not exactly intuitive lol
  13. Woo, thank you! This is the good stuff
  14. I have a vague recollection of a thread on the Live forums that spelled out how these two interact, but I haven't retained it. If I recall correctly: Damage Resistance resists -Damage? So -Resistance, in a way, multiples -Damage? As an example exercise, I've got this Ice/Kin Tanker that I was planning to go /Soul (for Darkest Night) and Paralytic Interface (4-stacking 5% -Dams). With the Fury of the Gladiator proc the only natively available -res, would it actually make more sense to go Reactive Interface? Does Weaken Resolve have a role to play here?
  15. Ah, right right. Well maybe that's a "SI for solo, Steamy Mist for teams" thing.
  16. These aren't for me, but if they speak to anyone out there, the costume/concept potential is pretty fun: 80s Knight Eighties Knight Retro Knight Retroknight are all available (I imagine many other decades are available as well, but let us Gen Xers live)
  17. I haven't had a ton of time to play this guy lately; only at level 40 with no set bonus slotting yet, just a lot of procs. On a team it's frankly hilarious to me how much "You have defeated..." pops up in the chat. I knew this would be a damage dealing combo, but really underestimated procced out Spectral Terror. I've got the Phantom for now but am already leaning towards dropping it. Absent set bonuses, I'm feeling the End crunch, but that's where part of the Hibernation attraction comes in. I'm also a big dumb-dumb and thought Steamy Mist + the Celerity: Stealth proc would be "just as good" as Superior Invis. I don't love the idea of running both Steamy and SI, but could see some merit in toggling SI on and off. I don't actually even have SI in the build currently, but will probably swap out Vengeance for it (and to retain the LotG mule). Another change I'll likely make is Phantom for Hurricane (or Snow Storm). Solo, Spectral Terror and Freezing Rain just aren't doing enough to negate mob scatter. That may change with more recharge (Freezing Rain isn't perma for me yet), so we'll see. All in all though, it feels like the general concept is working so far. I have all the non-Incarnate 'pets' I'm gonna have (unless I pick up the Coralax, which I doubt); unleashing them all and then Hibernating works about as well as I hoped it would. EDIT: oh, and I paid the KB>KD Tax in the relevant powers; nobody wants to be "that guy" lol
  18. Super valid! Part of my interest in this combo stems from @nihilii’s SS/EA “grail build” thread, where they built around a T9. I wanted to see if I could port that concept to a support character, and this seemed the closest I could get. Between Barrier and Hibernate (and the pets/pseudo pets who keep doing pretty much all your damage during the latter), it has the shape of a fun little buzzsaw that can handle those spikey moments.
  19. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s taken this combo to Incarnate. I have a number of level 50+ Illusion trollers, but haven’t tried /Storm with it. I’m specifically interested in adding Leviathan for the “extra tornado” but even moreso for Hibernate. My thought here is to use Hibernate as a helluva “oh s***” power when necessary (or just to offset /Storm’s End costs), while still having a small army of pets and pseudo pets chewing things up. I’m also always looking for MOAR DEEPS; so far my Illusion trollers top out around 450 on Pylons (/Traps without Hybrid has hit the highest consistent marks). I’m betting that /Storm’s DPS and Freezing Rain will make up for losing procced out Acid Mortar and Poison Trap’s -Regen, while also letting me stay 100% hover blasting. Also losing Containment, but I think that matters less. Thoughts?
  20. For me, I usually only take the ST immob if I’m interested in soloing AVs with that character.
