  3. Inspirations should have a cooldown and never give more than 10% of anything as a cap. death to inspirations also the way this change is described makes the change sound more impactful than it is
  4. /those/ changes are bad, someone is at veteran level 12k so it's too late already, you're just taking away stuff people like to do, even if i think it's boring.
  5. Yes but again, you have no reason not to do one. With WoW, doing one actively hurt your rewards as this did prior to Cobalt Arachne stated changes. People already don't join certain TF's for various reasons, the goal here is to prevent giving people a reason outside of personal choice to not join certain TF's. They can't force you to do low level runs of anything nor should they.

  8. It doesn't matter, actively giving people a reason not to join TF's based on difficulty is a bad idea. We literally saw this happen in WoW already with mythic keys, granted the rewards are on a much more casual scale... It should still be avoided. This issue is easily avoided through other methods. This sets a maximum possible daily gain of 30 Prismatic Aether Particles from Advanced Difficulty content on the same character. They don't need any bells or whistles beyond this. If you do the harder difficulties you get to 30 cool nice, but why make it so you can't if you do a lower level TF? Makes no sense, completely pointless. You should encourage people to try the harder difficulties to get the max 30 if they -want- to.
  9. because there's no reason to have it be this way really. I don't even care about a daily cap, but actively encouraging people not to join a low level TF while you can get a higher reward from the same TF but on a high difficulty should probably be avoided at all costs.
  10. Honestly? I appreciate the effort here to make changes that are bold and so widespread but this one wasn't it. I don't really get it though, if the intention of the change was for design reasons, couldn't you just apply this to your new TF/Arc enemies or was this another one of those everything or nothing modifications?
  11. Just get rid of all of this "Oh i better not join this lower difficulty TF so i don't miss my maximized daily reward" avoid this at all costs. Just keep a daily cap you're happy with and stop caring what people do to get there.

  13. Pretty much this, nothing in a set should ever be universally seen as skip-able. There is no reason that isn't completely arbitrary for a power to be "bad" and quite frankly would literally be bad game design to think otherwise. I always thought It'd be cool to have hurl boulder do a tiny bit of splash damage, not so much as a way to fix balancing or anything but more so because you're tossing a giant boulder into a crowd of people. The gap between Focus and Serpent's goes from 3s difference to 1s difference in terms of recharge. (made both builds to have 160 global recharge). Even if it isn't the primary way of balancing, you still need to take IO's into account since post-50 on HC fully IO'ing is the normal. (not to say that doesn't mean focus wouldn't outpace it still) I dunno if you have that many builds prepared to compare fully IO'd versions of all those... maybe you do? 😅
  14. Serpents Reach and Focused Burst / Repulsing Torrent. Three more ranged in melee that aren't terrible. That said, i don't really think hurl boulder is the hill to die on. It's not terrible but it's not good either. It's not gonna tip Stone Melee one way or the other. Fault/Tremor still can though.
  15. It's exactly what disproves the logic, especially "not using in melee" If you don't use attacks just because you're not at an arbitrary distance you're literally playing wrong. Blasters don't just suddenly jump away after using melee to use range. Point blank blaze 😛 A power doesn't need to be ranged Seismic Smash, but it doesn't need to be bad -just- because of something completely arbitrary like "It's ranged". Focus alone, if you don't use it in your melee attack chain you're doing it wrong.
  16. Yes but even the others you said were bad and the epics you dismissed because they're epics, doesn't disprove "It's ranged so it has to be bad" to be a bad take. Even with the no build up argument, So i'm not sure what you're trying to prove here. Hurl doesn't need to be a skip-able bad power just because it's ranged on a melee set, It's terrible logic.
  17. Gonna have to agree, Tremor still feels bad especially when the set's big ST can't full crit in favor of more holding power which TBH horrible trade.

  19. After a day of playing it now I'm gonna have to agree. The mechanic is really cool and good just feels a little soft still. Maybe just a tad bit more damage and if you don't wanna pump the damage up too much, additional cage (maybe lower mag?) on a chained target at max stacks Elec blast is -almost- in that sweet spot.

  21. After using it for awhile, I love the VS toggle. I might be biased, I'm always in a Faraday cage and have soft cap'd ranged defense so i don't have toggle dropping issues ever. Even so, It being a toggle is lovely. Elec Blast overall feels much better.

  23. You can't just say brave and true things like this. The new difficulty options shine a massive spot light on Rage in specific. The crash is a death sentence in the higher modes. Hopefully this will encourage addressing the hot issue that is the current state of Super Strength faster.
