I've been using a custom set of keybinds for years that explicitly "nop" the defaults I don't want to accidentally use. I never save keybinds to a default file, each alt gets a named file. What exactly changed? I haven't noticed any of my alts acting wierd so I assume my existing keybinds survived the issue? Did the changes over-write stuff? I mean if it did, then I guess I'd need to save-out one set of defaults from a new alt (before loading mine) and see what the big deal is and modifying my custom ones appropriately?

Nope, never use Discord (and am slightly annoyed by some companies that rely on that instead of emails or chat forums for support and news), don't even have it installed anywhere. Beyond that I see no need while playing, there is a chat system in the game. I also don't use any voice apps while playing because it really messes with the immersion (tried that once on Live, it was jarring). I come to Paragon City to pretend I'm elsewhere and let my imagination fill in the blanks.

Yeah I'd use Coyote/Panther more if powers just supressed and not toggled-off.

Tablet may be more flexible, but e-ink is easier on the eyes. Kindle is better for weight and handling too.

Am I the only one seeing inconsistent cooldown timer behavior? Like sometimes the timers show, then they will stop working for a bit mid-combat, only seeming to come back at random or after using a specific power?

Also maybe I just never paid much attention in Cimerora but, is the lower front cape on the Sybil 2 piece backwards? The color is on the back/inside and black on the front/outside. Looks odd when all the other pieces are color-outwards. I also discovered if I use the Sybil pieces, exit, then come back it tries to revert to my previous costume parts (in this case, the Gunslinger skirt pieces). So basically once I add the Sybil, I have to not touch my costume or else I have to start over.

They also didn't show ads. Or get taken away if the publisher or bookstore decided you shouldn't have it, or didn't pay for a Reading Subscription. Or get sanitized based on "modern values." Well, at least any moreso than the edition you currently own. 😜

Well, not all the teams I am on meet your 30s criteria. 😉 Radius and target cap are nice. Though…the target cap now is only five? Sure feels like I've pushed more than that before, but maybe it just seems that way in the heat of combat. And yeah…getting shot back at would be a huge problem, especially with a larger target cap. That would mean, for me, I would not take TK at all since the risk-vs-reward in my use case would be suspect. It's already very situational, and this would make the use case even more narrow. I mean I have some durable doms and controllers, but too much aggro (or worse, stuns) would be unhealthy.

Apparently I'm the only one who likes the current TK as apower, situational, strategic "hold"? At least on a dom, anyway. I use it to push mobs into corners, away from the backfield back towards the tanker, as a control when the feces hits the fan, and more. Not often, but enough to make it useful. Having it last X amount of time and then shut off sounds like a downgrade.

I went back to read more of this threads and a fair number of requests for ape/gorilla heads. I do indeed remember the all-gorilla SGs back on live (and their strict rules, costumes, heirarchy, roleplay). I figure animal heads were likely awaiting a volunteer with an investment and care to do it. Figure this is a tall ask given the volunteer nature (and I personally lack the artistic skill or I would…). But if we're going to ask, other animal head types we need are: Fox Dog Cat (domesticated) Deer/gazelle/antelope Badger/skunk Rabbits/hares Also need antlers. Can't even make a decent jackalope (so antlers need to work with the rabbit ears) or deer/buck or "old man of the forest" sort of vibe. And to finish-off birds, which I mentioned before (feather torso, arms, and legs; feathered tail options). Someone mentioned "bigger feathered wings" and others objected because they'd blot other character's view, but…the current dragon wings to me have always seemed quite a bit larger than the current feather wings so…there is already precidence. And as for pie-in-the-skiy wishes: for auras extend to wings. Always looks odd that I can have angelic, blinding glow on my torso and my wings don't. Add to that making auras follow the monstrous legs rather than float in odd spots based on normal legs.

The Seer/Mu hover/flight pose: legs together and straight down, arms straight down at sides. Might be two variations: 1) stays bolt upright no matter the movement, which would be kinda unnerving, or 2) what I believe the Seers/Mu do which is lean slightly in the direction of movement. (This might be more of a "powers" request, but I think of these things in terms of my overall look, my "costume.")

I'm looking to do a ghostly appearance: slightly translucent. Not fully invisible. This is for appearance only; any actual stealth is just a bonus and not the goal. I'm looking at IOs or Pool Powers for a solution, not to be forced into a particular primary/secondary powerset. QUESTION #1: My options seem to be running full-time Stealth, Infiltraion, or Stealth IOs, or are there other options? Last time I tried Infiltration the visual effect of the stealth was pretty subtle, even moreso than a stealth IO, is that still the case? Normally I would put a stealth IO into Sprint for selective Stealth, but then if I turn off Sprint then the Stealth is off too. I could run full-time Sprint I supposed, though in my case the full time extra speed would be a negative not a positive, which is why I don't mention Super Speed as an option. Basically, ideally, I want a simple translucent look without being hyperactive (slower movement is acceptable, say, if Stealth still incurs that penalty). QUESTION #2: What is the best choice for the least endurance impact? QUESTION #3: How would you slot your recommended solution above in order to manage the endurance drain so running it full time doesn't become a huge issue, even at the lower levels?

Names are where it starts; it's something I have to stare at and be called by for months, so it should be fun or fitting! I'm probably 50/50 between: I come up with a clever or punny name, sometimes on a dare from regular friends of mine, and pick powers to fit. Cute Little Stinker and Harpy Holidays and Gamma Chameleon fit this. I want to combine a set of powers and go scouring Google, Wiki, etc. to find a monster, legend, god(dess), etc. to fit. I've learned alot of cryptozoology, mythology, and bits of foreign languages this way. The species, costume, and backstory (every alt has one) follow after that. I only have a couple of "homage" alts, preferring to come-up with something totally my own. Even developed a couple lore-compatible races/species as a way to handle those instances where I'm having trouble with a name or backstory development.

Same issue, specifically on the Mac. The only two workarounds I found are: I can often get at the Settings via the login screen button, especially if it's the first thing I do after launching the app. Sometimes I can get at the Options in-game if it, again, is the first thing I do after launch and login. Re-installing the game didn't help. Thankfully I've been able to do most of what I wanted and can just avoid touching it. Only thing I found I can't reliably change is the colors for the speech bubbles.

I play redside when the opportunity presents itself, I quite enjoy it, but loathe leading so…my own worst enemy I guess. Unfortunately for the OP, I'm also on Torch and too lazy-minded to shard hop.

Mids Reborn 3.5.6 only seems to have "Share Build » Via Forum Export" and "Legacy Import » Via Forum Post"…or am I looking in the wrong place or not have something configured correctly? "Legacy Import" was throwing the error.

Odd…didn't feel like this thread (for the most part) was fetishizing or even "we enjoyed some of the hard ways of doing things"…I thought it was just reminiscing either about memorable moments or shared hardships. It is a bit of a bummer that alts have become so powerful at 50 that a team of 8 becomes "one badass and a bunch of hangers-ons" or "8 people who happen to be solo'ing in the same mission" but…I think overall I still like the improvements despite the power creep. At the same time, I'm happy to look back on the wierd shared experiences from "back in the old days."

Unfortunately I cannot get this into Mids, says it's not formatted correctly. Any tips on what I might be doing wrong?

We had this issue the other night on a small team, so it was easier to troubleshoot. The issue was Storm Cell from the Storm Blast set, in our case. The pseudopet tends to drift to right in front of the door and then causes mobs to spawn briefly, encounter the pseudopet, then the mob will despawn and respawn. You can generally get in about one hit before the despawn and the mob retains health amounts between respawns, so you can eventually whittle down the mob between respawns.

Gamma Chameleon: He comes and goes, he comes and goes… Compulsive Lyre: Another symphony bird alt. Hopped-Up: Kinetics rabbit.

I have an older /buildsavefile file that MIDS won't open and no MIDS file was ever posted. I'd just build off the text file, since it's readable, but all the set enhancements are [name]_A, [name]_B, etc. So things like "Superior_Attuned_Superior_Command_of_the_Mastermind_A" and "Superior_Attuned_Superior_Command_of_the_Mastermind_C". Is there a reliable way to correlate the A/B/C/D/E/F to a specific enhancement in a set?
