  1. I agree with this sentiment. I would like to grow a char into the environment, much like Praetoria content evolves. Blue, and even Red side content doesn't really evolve. It just maybe gets harder. If you look at Praetoria, you go from something pretty basic between loyalists and resistance, and even subfactions there of might vrs right, to a panicked all out attempt to just survive. It imperveates the entirety of Praetoria, from the chaos of Nightward, First Ward, the hami seed "fight", and the wild and unchecked growth of DE as it breaks through the sonic barriers and performs an all out assault (multiple seeds at once) in that near final arc where you defend the (tower?) with the incarnate powered guns you fuel. Even the seers go from pretty normal seers, to some pretty crazy weird stuff. Clear evolution, beyond moar powerz or bigger orange numbers.
  2. We have forts, that are pretty much psiforbrains already. Seers would be interesting if we didnt already have forts. For me, I think no further than Underground Trial. You get, Carnies (des counts as a carnie right?), DE, IDF, Warwalkers... UGT is for me the epitome of all things Praetoria. Plugging into that would be fantastic.

  4. Ok, so. On a relatively high power team (3 incarnates, mix of not-50s) running +3/8, I get ONE arrow off, and everything is dead. Which is, of course, flash arrow. Only 3 dps in the team, (scrapper, 2 blasters). The +4 (54) av melted so fast that by the time i fired off aa, pga, osa, flash, it was dead. I don't think the buffs really help, when content falls over dead so fast!!!
  5. The thing about DE is that we have been tied to them peripherally the whole damn game. There are flowerblossom? tips, and a bunch of others. It is supposed to be this huge thing, but unlike Rikti, we have no Heronator, RWZ events, Dropships, Invasions, etc etc etc. There are truly enormous parts of the game dedicated to the Rikti. You are intertwined with them from level very-low, with the cure wand, all the way up to 50. DE? They are like, tips? An occasional mish in your 40-50s on arcs, and well? Thats it! Oh, and of course Hami himself. Praetoria introduced Hami as a whole different ballgame. A hami with no restrictions. If I were to go head on with The Battalion, I sure as hell would want some of that go-juice in the tank. Praetoria is a place where Big Thoughts are Thought Big. Nothing there is ever done half measure! Please, genesplice me! Give me one of those "Teethguns" from existenz, but cover that with some freaky DE whatnot

  8. You know, it SHOULD be possible to go straight to FW after the might vrs right arc with loyalists and all those ijjuts. Since FW starts at 20, why not shunt them to red or blue with an align mish different from the current exit mish for praetoria, with a one way ticket direct to FW after the initial shunt? All the ideas here sound great! Lets hope for something cool!

  10. Because epics are... epic? You know, not a t1,2,3 or 4 power that you generally cycle out of anyway because it no longer supports high level play at the same level as 5,6,7,8,9 powers?

Two PEATS: Straight up DE hybrid (literally gene-spliced with DE) Genegineering weapons for a blastery sort char Idea here is that one side Might would hybridize humans for power regardless of human sacrifice, whereas Right would genegineer weaponry in light of the vast power of Hami, but not at the cost of human sacrifice.
  12. There are innumerable uses for the new teleport pool. I am curious if teleport team takes a powexec location to poor-mans team teleport (p2w) by combining powexec location target (teammate) tht bam'fs to mish via mishtp inside a single zone... That requires a team to test though.
  13. I have said positive things, and I have tested it extensively. Please do not lump me blindly in with a group of people that do not reflect how I feel or what I do or do not like the power, based on proximity of actually testing. Thank you.

  16. So, dumb question, because I am definitely not a CoH math guy, but.... What does this look like when you factor in 2 mob soul drain, with 50% uptime and 100% uptime? It seems that the dpa is intentionally anemic when you count souldrain in, but I don't really know what that means in "math" numbers. Figuring it with 50% uptime and only 2 mobs seems a reasonable capability for a mildly slotted player. 4 mobs and ~100% uptime would also be a good bellweather to get a feel for it, sans slotting of power (just raw input from drain) Thanks!
  17. My experience with telenukes is that they always drop you where something was, not where it will be, when using powexec_loc target. It can be frustrating when I am speeding through a mish scattering mobs and causing chaos, and then BAM shield charge drops be in a whole lot of empty space. 😐
  18. While true, you don't get epic aoes until, well, epic levels. SM + ToF are available immediately, offer slotting choices with procs (ToF can be proc'd pretty heavily) or for set bonuses, and using attuned sets gets you bonuses that you probably don't have until epic levels due to slot compatability. To me, this is a QoL change that enables more accessibility to aoe than just shadow maul, especially at low levels. Not all QoL changes mean guaranteed moar damagez.
  19. dark/shield/mu TP in, souldrain, fences, ToF, sm, watch everything croak. Have zapp on hand for high damage st. Shield charge down? CT in.
  20. @Linea has "nonstandard" builds that do this kind of thing. A quick review of postings shows at least 1 defender.
  21. I would not expect it to, at all. Bosses are, well, bosses. They are by default naturally resistant to pretty much everything. Asking a pool power to gank bosses +2 to you is probably a bridge too far. Consider that primary and secondary pools have powers that won't even do simple things like single target hold on a boss on first application!
  22. Yes to both of these. I have so many fiddly arrows to shoot that I generally do nothing else. I have to sort my options out in some sort of way that makes sense, because layering arrow after arrow after arrow for debuff in general play is a general waste of time. By the time you have dropped your third arrow (ignore flash arrow; i have a habit of pushing the front lines), everything is D E D. I think accordingly, I will have to pick and choose which have what maximum effect in combination to limit how many times im plucking the debuf strings.
  23. I have a concern that peoples reliance on procs for damage will eventually bear sour fruit. While nice now, I certainly wouldn't plan long term around using procs as my primary means of boosting damage in powers and/or general dps, as suggested above (disruption, entangling) and more broadly elsewhere.
  24. While you pittifuly plink away with less damage and less agro control than a tank. Hard targets dont freeze. Even cons? Sure. But my experience has been that there is not enough mag to shut bosses down, which will DEFINITELY hack away at my fender. This is no different than other sets. Support sets are multipliers. By itself, you really aren't scoring many points at all. On straight SOs, I never found this to be overpowered at all, let alone to the point where you start hacking away at a set that just got buffed because generally speaking, it sucked. edit: Let me put it another way. Far too many support sets have powers which in no way support the player using them. This is a VERY fresh breath into the set. EMP is pretty much a capstone power. It should suck you say? (points to stone melees aoe)
  25. Tactics run 100% of the time is not a cheap toggle. For single-player use, the tohit may indeed be maximally useful for an opening alpha strike that allows you to disturb the alpha strike from the enemies. The tohit is effectively zero cost, and comes with great mobility in combat at minimum end consumption. @RageusQuitus2Suggestion: Put all pets in bodyguard mode, and have them follow you. Fold Space. Profit. Your pets will overwhelm inbound aggro with their own flavor of chaos, and everyone takes less damage. It is definitely one of the more fire and forget means of using FS. Teleport will probably always be a pretty ick power for travel; use of CT, alternate fast travel, and teleport team/target are amazingly useful though.
