  1. Ok, so, yes, again with the fold space testing... TA/Rad is pretty interesting. I can run 0/4 infernal on absolute garbage slotting (i followed the above posting for ta slotting, randomly slotted rad, took pretty much all of leadership, ct,tt,fs) and hit slot me! with random set ios. It is absolutely amusing, and better running than traps/rad/teleport!
  2. Can TA function in any way similar to Traps? I ask, because I can do some stupid stuff (i27 style) in a fast moving team with traps, but don't like the stupid slow moving ff generator (which is better in theory than practice). I am looking specifically for chaos causers like caltrops and poison trap which cause the mobs to panic instead of nuke you with an alpha strike. I think, but am not sure, oil slick will do this? Thanks!
  3. Teleport target has, uh, kinda huge no LoS range. Like, from the entrace of DA (modern) all the way to the other side. MILES. CT is, well. Let me just say it is better than I think people realize, especially if you put some effort into binds.

  6. I REALLY doubt you will see more than one person on a team with FS, given the amount of complaints about pre-req costs.
  7. The whole proc thing is egregiously broken. When I can slot 4 procs in a power and net more damage than slotting the damn power FOR DAMAGE, thats an issue. I abuse it wholesale, understanding it will not last long. The point of acceptance came when i 4 slotted +5 level 50 a/d/e/r set pieces to get, well, a/d/e/r all at ED caps (85-90ish), and found that replacing the damn things with a/d/e 50+5 +3 procs did more damage period, I was, well. I gave in. 😕
  8. I actually run teams sub +4 with my 50s, for a huge plethora of reasons. The amount teammates can contributed against +5 enemies vrs +4 enemies (to them, sidekicked) is vastly different. The more the team can contribute, the faster things move, the more fun is had. As long as the mobs have scary colored names, everyone seems happy. That doesnt mean +4 to (lead). I can mean +2 (to team). Try it, it works!

  10. end mod, endmod + speed, chance to heal, perfshifter +end (equivalency to a 30% endmod without the ED iirc) Endmod in stam is 114% after 119% ED (5% slotting lost due to ED). I am running assault, man, weave, tough, mask, tt leader, tt man, tt assault, IW, foresight, and am a widow. 🙂 What you guys miss there is that it isn't for ME. Yes, I could go selfish and be self-interested. But that isn't what the build is for. It is all about team support. Consider again: 38% def to all to all in range, +30% dam to all in range, 14% tohit to all +( recov/rech and blue refill from ageless) + (+special, damage, defense from support radial) The build isn't meant to go do 4/8 itf solo 10 minutes nonsense. Those builds have their time and place. This one is to ensure that any and all teams it joins have a smoother, more comfy ride to fun while letting me scrap in peace. 🙂 I would just like a bit more breathing room at low and mid exemp levels 😄
  11. For me, this comes down to sucking wind endlessly at high levels on a veat, because hey! 10 toggles! and yeah some attacks too! maybe? Yeah. Standing still, no attacks, and I am sucking down 1.4 EPS. This is WITH agility radial for +endmod! Admittedly the problem disappears when I turn on ageless, but COME ON DAWG!!! Oh, I dont really die though. 27.5% def-debuf, and a 104/87.5/87.5 def to anything thats not untyped, pretty comfy. 38% def to all to all in range, +30% dam to all in range, 14% tohit to all, and a -4.5% tohit smoke grenade just for good measures. But MAN where the hell is my blue bar?!!?!?!
  12. Free time? Take a 50, any 50, (hopefully at least alpha unlocked, even if not slotted). Find ~ 15 minutes. Run an apex, or tm, or apex/tm combo, for 60-120 merits in generally 15 or 30 minutes of play. Convert those merits directly into influence in less than 2 minutes (resell a wintero, a wintero + boosters, a wintero + cats, etc etc). Come back in 24 hours, collect loot, buy "expensive" set ios, rinse, repeat. An entry level 50 char with alpha unlocked is the fast-forward button on getting "stuff". It is extremely fast, efficient, and lucrative. Plus, you hyperactivate your incarnate powers. Buy attuned atos with your ill gotten gains, email them to yourself, move on.
  13. Really not seeing this nerf you talk about with DM, given a LOT of testing with it. This comment seems focused on exactly 1 thing (smaller head count on shadow maul), and does not look at the _entire set_ holistically.
  14. I tested a dm/ena scrappy, cause DM changes. I was, i dunno. DM just isn't as fun on a scrapper as a tank I suppose. Not sure there. I will try enm/ena. I have an elec/enm tank on test that I am poking around with, and I think that yeah, enm would be really great on a scrappydo. Its kinda weird to play on a tank, because I love my fold space, and I just see an endless stream of double-digit numbers (crash, whirl, fences, filler) that SEEMS to do good damage and clear, but I don't really know? So I am curious how that playstyle would convert to a scrappydo. My dm/ena scrappydo is pretty much unkillable, so dunno. I think yeah, enm would really shine in a scrapper. I would probably actually go enm/bio/mu for stupid damage. And on that, it is LOTS of energy damage!!!

  16. Try beta. The set flows MUCH smoother, and should fit you better than the current incarnation on live.
  17. No, but there is an awful lot of armchair quarterbacking going on, as well as people unwilling to experiment/try new things. I think if people, you know, actually tried things, tried NEW things, looked at things from a different perspective or pov, they would find out nifty things like @arkieboy72472. For sure, setup like they mentioned with fs + intang as a multi-power bind is pretty crazy. I would worry about what would happen with all that agro, but there are powers that specialize in that, like hold fields (darks hold sphere for instance).
  18. I don't see this as complicated at all, let alone needing the graph. 6 of these didn't even merit inclusion. 1 of those is sketchy at best (LRT). That leaves you with Monitor Duty (new), RRP (new). The rest have been around since time immemorial (incarnate, att, mt, tt, oport, basetp, sg portal). I take it by your inclusion of these you are new to the game, relatively new to the game, or just making a graph to prove a point that doesn't really exist. People, for YEARS, used (incarnate, att, mt, tt, oport, basetp, sg portal) to get around. People actually learned which combination of what got you around fastest. I had for many many years at least 4 of those on my power bar at all times: att, tt, oport, mt.
  19. Hm. I main an elec affin, and don't see any of the issues you are having? Like, none? Using faraday cage, I have never had a problem keeping it deployed on extremely fast moving teams. What is really interesting energizing circuit is that solo, or on a 2-3 person team (including yourself), you can easily keep it up 50% of the time, which massively boosts team and self recharge. It is almost as if you and I are playing totally different sets! Edit: I doublechecked. I run nearly perma-amp up. Having been on the receiving end of the power, I can say that it is truly bad ass, as a scrapper, fender (it does cool things to fender powers!), tank, and troller. Something with 98% uptime isn't situational beyond having a teammate!
  20. At first, I was like YEAH! Then I read the other comments and said yay? I think it was a great point that who might be taking alpha strikes or managing agro or buffs or whatever may not the leader. However, what would be neat would be something more complex: Pick a color! You have a guy that says "buffs coming!!", that person with a special color so you can see them on the map quickly. Someone thats sucking up agro? A different color! The stalker/stealthy person running ahead so you know DONT CHASE THAT GUY, yet another color!
  21. Actually, no. Look closely at what happens when you FS. You will see you pull mobs from different spawns. As a result, EVERYTHING in those spawns actually agros on you, but only as you kill off members of the pack. It is delayed gratification. You can, with absolutely no effort at all, pull half of the asteroid farm map at once with a single use of FS. It's use in agro management is amazing and unparalleled. You don't have to taunt anything, they just stream right to you. For a brute? I am not sure that is the case. I would assume so, but tanks have gauntlet built in which throws wood on that fire. edit: I realize that using FS/CT, both new powers, is uncharted territory. And that picking 3 powers is for many people a high cost for their highly tuned builds, which is totally understandable. But like everything in life, people see different opportunities in different ways. That doesn't make one any worse than the other, just different! I am all for experimentation, with sometimes unexpected results both good and bad.
  22. I actually like it, specifically because it does NOT slot defense (grrr muling), and also because a CT boosts my tohit immediately for things like: ct -> nuke -> RUNAWAAAAAY!
  23. One is in an epic, and the other is part of a set thats, well, kinda beat. I think if devices was, you know, less beat, I could see the 1.6. But given these two things, I can see why they are above that value.
  24. This. Not sure why people think blazing aura is so MUST HAVE. If you kill things sloooowly? Sure. If you are killing things in 1 cycle of an attack chain? Well, you get what, 1 dot of damage? MAYBE 2? If you have NO need for taunt methods, because you pick and slot early on fold space? That has to be a pretty alien concept as well it seems. The cost of blazing aura is effectively the most useful tool a tank has in their arsenal: fold space. Put combat teleport together with fold space, and truly unique things can happen. Just something to think about!

Ah, you missed this from my post above! -> Looks like swapping out blazing aura for fiery embrace nets a lot of damage for 20 secs uptime, 28 sec downtime. <- I can totally do without blazing aura. Yes, its free damage. No, it isn't really meaningful when everything croaks in a FS alpha. On the ToF side of things, it looks like 4 procs and 2 dam in it produces more damage over time. Whether it is worth sacrificing the 7.5 fc/ 7.5 aoe is another question.
