  1. I don't have problems hitting pretty huge chunks of enemies with PC as a tank. As a stalker, I would view it as splash damage, rather than a mass aoe attack, which is more in line with what a stalker does anyway (huge single target damage with general splash).
  2. I would really like to be affected by whatever EMP does. I don't know what it does. But it sounds good, so I DEFINITELY want some. Sets where fenders self-affect are amazing! Sets where they dont? Well, less so.
  3. Caveat: I didn't know procs worked this way till, hm, 2ish months ago. It was eye opening, and very depressing. I thought I was being smart by +5'ing trips in 4 slots to maximize damage/end/acc/rech. To find out how wrong I was was... well... really sad.
  4. @josh1622In total absence of, I dont know, incarnates, any and all support powers already shoring up other abilities, I might agree with you. On SO enhs, I would surely agree with you. But there are SO MANY WAYS to offset minor values in slotting a single power, that the argument against slotting 1 or 2 powers as procbombs is totally shortsighted. If you build a set as a whole with set ios, or use even rudimentary incarnates, their function as a whole, for the entirety of the build, is so utterly game changing that a few end, damage, or accuracy from slotting a power is almost irrelevant. To make the point: Less than half the recharge. 143% accuracy. Single 50+5 acc/dam/end. High proc chance on hold (grav anchor) which is synergistic with the aoe immob. This is much much much better total value for the power. The only thing that would eclipse it by slotting is a purple wintero set for defense. Base damage on the power is 82 dragged out over several ticks. Again, unless I have no other way to get values from a set I shove in there, on purple frozen blasts (6 slotted), I get: 217% accuracy is overblown. 2 second improvement from slotting isn't aiding anything when you have chain filler. The power is doing at least 100 less damage. There is no diversity in that damage. You don't get holds out of it from grav proc. The built in recharge you are throwing at it from the set squashes the hell out of proc chance on the grav proc even if you slotted it. Everything has its purpose and place. Maybe you need slot bonuses in that _specific_ power, because they can't be had elsewhere. Other than that, if you don't need slot bonuses in the power that you can get elsewhere, maximizing it's utility really really really might not be met with any other form of slotting outside of procs.
  5. I think this depends on play style. I am totally fine with ninja run (toggled as I can absorb the end cost) + sprint, using a CT bind to get vertical or horizontal movement as needed where ninjarun fails me. In fact, this is my goto. When ninjarun popped up on the market during live, it was the best thing since sliced bread, as it gave me more power pick flexibility. The same is true for the whole fast-travel nonsense. I found lots of ways to fast travel, albeit with some phat lewt investment, prior to all of this, that never used the enterfrom cheat. Bouncing through zones on a variety of cooldown functions was always good for me. Teams generally rolled with TT, ATT. Now, I don't see many people at all carrying these, even though we are a richer playerbase as a whole. A certain breed of player from back in the day will go this route, and it will rub off on new players, and slowly but surely the changes will be absorbed. Not a big deal!
  6. 1 power, which operates subnominally, can easily have its accuracy, endurance, and slotting bonuses easily replaced by slotting/power (use/choice)/incarnates elsewhere in the build. Recharge is INTENTIONALLY kept out. If you are slotting with procs, recharge comes from outside global sources, so even having it in your statement is disingenuous. That same power however may have a core function available that no matter how much value slotting (not set bonus) you dump into it, it won't improve. When you can get 2,3, or 400% damage increase in a power with a handful of procs, AND STILL GET SET BONUSES (3 slot erad (1 of which is a proc) for bonuses + some procs for instance), THAT IS A PROBLEM. Is this problem one that should be fixed? I don't know. But it certainly isn't operating as intended.
  7. I powerlevel (mishs, VERY rarely a farm for a few levels) by doing things like, uh, running team content. Praetorian content in the high levels, DA content. Apex/TM runs (I am on limited time budget and this scores me much needed merits, isalvage, emps, and chat), the standard Jenkins/TinaMac, do some red side, random TFs, monster slaying, ToT, you name it. Id like to run more red content. I miss it. I ran red exclusively when CoV came out for YEARS, and finally gave up to go blue. Was a sad sad day. I like introducing content that players may not hit, like tips through the entire 20-50 range. New enemies, get to track evolution of people like Frostfire and that burninating lady with the books Flambeaux, the whole Tremor +Fusionette stuff, you name it. If I can run it in 30 or less, I will, and I will drag a team with me, no matter the level. People like it, and like seeing the variety of content I pull them into. I certainly have zero problems finding or making a team, 24x7. I play 2am EST, 7am EST, random times during work day for a few mins, evenings around 730-8pm. I would think that if population was declining, this would not be the case. YMMV as they say. Maybe it is the content you run, or means by which you recruit teammates that drives you to think the population is dying off?
  8. Ok, so, yes, again with the fold space testing... TA/Rad is pretty interesting. I can run 0/4 infernal on absolute garbage slotting (i followed the above posting for ta slotting, randomly slotted rad, took pretty much all of leadership, ct,tt,fs) and hit slot me! with random set ios. It is absolutely amusing, and better running than traps/rad/teleport!
  9. Can TA function in any way similar to Traps? I ask, because I can do some stupid stuff (i27 style) in a fast moving team with traps, but don't like the stupid slow moving ff generator (which is better in theory than practice). I am looking specifically for chaos causers like caltrops and poison trap which cause the mobs to panic instead of nuke you with an alpha strike. I think, but am not sure, oil slick will do this? Thanks!
  10. Teleport target has, uh, kinda huge no LoS range. Like, from the entrace of DA (modern) all the way to the other side. MILES. CT is, well. Let me just say it is better than I think people realize, especially if you put some effort into binds.
  11. Can we sticky this? Make it mandatory reading?
  12. I REALLY doubt you will see more than one person on a team with FS, given the amount of complaints about pre-req costs.
  13. The whole proc thing is egregiously broken. When I can slot 4 procs in a power and net more damage than slotting the damn power FOR DAMAGE, thats an issue. I abuse it wholesale, understanding it will not last long. The point of acceptance came when i 4 slotted +5 level 50 a/d/e/r set pieces to get, well, a/d/e/r all at ED caps (85-90ish), and found that replacing the damn things with a/d/e 50+5 +3 procs did more damage period, I was, well. I gave in. 😕
  14. I actually run teams sub +4 with my 50s, for a huge plethora of reasons. The amount teammates can contributed against +5 enemies vrs +4 enemies (to them, sidekicked) is vastly different. The more the team can contribute, the faster things move, the more fun is had. As long as the mobs have scary colored names, everyone seems happy. That doesnt mean +4 to (lead). I can mean +2 (to team). Try it, it works!
  15. That is, well, I don't even know how to respond. Maybe read above to see what the INTENT of the build was.
  16. end mod, endmod + speed, chance to heal, perfshifter +end (equivalency to a 30% endmod without the ED iirc) Endmod in stam is 114% after 119% ED (5% slotting lost due to ED). I am running assault, man, weave, tough, mask, tt leader, tt man, tt assault, IW, foresight, and am a widow. 🙂 What you guys miss there is that it isn't for ME. Yes, I could go selfish and be self-interested. But that isn't what the build is for. It is all about team support. Consider again: 38% def to all to all in range, +30% dam to all in range, 14% tohit to all +( recov/rech and blue refill from ageless) + (+special, damage, defense from support radial) The build isn't meant to go do 4/8 itf solo 10 minutes nonsense. Those builds have their time and place. This one is to ensure that any and all teams it joins have a smoother, more comfy ride to fun while letting me scrap in peace. 🙂 I would just like a bit more breathing room at low and mid exemp levels 😄
  17. For me, this comes down to sucking wind endlessly at high levels on a veat, because hey! 10 toggles! and yeah some attacks too! maybe? Yeah. Standing still, no attacks, and I am sucking down 1.4 EPS. This is WITH agility radial for +endmod! Admittedly the problem disappears when I turn on ageless, but COME ON DAWG!!! Oh, I dont really die though. 27.5% def-debuf, and a 104/87.5/87.5 def to anything thats not untyped, pretty comfy. 38% def to all to all in range, +30% dam to all in range, 14% tohit to all, and a -4.5% tohit smoke grenade just for good measures. But MAN where the hell is my blue bar?!!?!?!
  18. Free time? Take a 50, any 50, (hopefully at least alpha unlocked, even if not slotted). Find ~ 15 minutes. Run an apex, or tm, or apex/tm combo, for 60-120 merits in generally 15 or 30 minutes of play. Convert those merits directly into influence in less than 2 minutes (resell a wintero, a wintero + boosters, a wintero + cats, etc etc). Come back in 24 hours, collect loot, buy "expensive" set ios, rinse, repeat. An entry level 50 char with alpha unlocked is the fast-forward button on getting "stuff". It is extremely fast, efficient, and lucrative. Plus, you hyperactivate your incarnate powers. Buy attuned atos with your ill gotten gains, email them to yourself, move on.
  19. Really not seeing this nerf you talk about with DM, given a LOT of testing with it. This comment seems focused on exactly 1 thing (smaller head count on shadow maul), and does not look at the _entire set_ holistically.
  20. I tested a dm/ena scrappy, cause DM changes. I was, i dunno. DM just isn't as fun on a scrapper as a tank I suppose. Not sure there. I will try enm/ena. I have an elec/enm tank on test that I am poking around with, and I think that yeah, enm would be really great on a scrappydo. Its kinda weird to play on a tank, because I love my fold space, and I just see an endless stream of double-digit numbers (crash, whirl, fences, filler) that SEEMS to do good damage and clear, but I don't really know? So I am curious how that playstyle would convert to a scrappydo. My dm/ena scrappydo is pretty much unkillable, so dunno. I think yeah, enm would really shine in a scrapper. I would probably actually go enm/bio/mu for stupid damage. And on that, it is LOTS of energy damage!!!
  21. Sometimes, you just need a good laugh. Frequently, @Troo's threads provide. 😄
  22. Try beta. The set flows MUCH smoother, and should fit you better than the current incarnation on live.
  23. No, but there is an awful lot of armchair quarterbacking going on, as well as people unwilling to experiment/try new things. I think if people, you know, actually tried things, tried NEW things, looked at things from a different perspective or pov, they would find out nifty things like @arkieboy72472. For sure, setup like they mentioned with fs + intang as a multi-power bind is pretty crazy. I would worry about what would happen with all that agro, but there are powers that specialize in that, like hold fields (darks hold sphere for instance).
  24. I don't see this as complicated at all, let alone needing the graph. 6 of these didn't even merit inclusion. 1 of those is sketchy at best (LRT). That leaves you with Monitor Duty (new), RRP (new). The rest have been around since time immemorial (incarnate, att, mt, tt, oport, basetp, sg portal). I take it by your inclusion of these you are new to the game, relatively new to the game, or just making a graph to prove a point that doesn't really exist. People, for YEARS, used (incarnate, att, mt, tt, oport, basetp, sg portal) to get around. People actually learned which combination of what got you around fastest. I had for many many years at least 4 of those on my power bar at all times: att, tt, oport, mt.
