  1. I use pelt all the time, for teleport anything; its great for shield charge, lightning rod, combat teleport, leap attack, almost every offensive toggle. I had no idea I could target myself as a location though, which is huge for things like: TA emp arrow mez/res bubble, and any and all things defensive that can be tied to fold space. Anything that makes it safer for me to run fold space makes me happy. 😄
  2. To minimize "overslotting", id recommend slotting both res procs on res builds (elec, rad), or both def procs on def (super reflexes, ice) builds; On hybrids (bio, shield), slot all 4 (its harder to meet survival competency when you are drawn across having to boost resist AND defense). General use procs should include the 7.5% hp boost, tank res proc, +absorb heal proc. The idea here is to maximize effect on the _primary_ function of a primary powerset (res vrs def vrs hybrid), without throwing a lot of extra juice in the mix. Thoughts?

    toggle buff(s)

Not sure if it is documented anywhere, but offensive toggles dont drop when something gets inhumed. The toggle persists for some time after the target is remanded to eternal authorities, so things like radiation infection or snowstorm continue to affect things anchored on the recently departed. I could be late to the party, but possibly not.
  4. Cheaper than sets too... Procs generally arent expensive at all.
  5. WTH there @KaizenSoze! That build you got is ProcAllTheThings!! Hahaha, love it!
  6. powexec_location self is somethign I didnt know, and you just made me super happy!

    Rad/Em tank

Go EnM instead!!! Moar damagez, instacast ET, EARLY total focus, moar damagez with the whirling pompoms, some bizarreness that can be abused with the powercrash... win win! You just have to wait a bit. (tues morning?)
  8. So @Werner, the value of procs (all the heal/end procs, the res procs, the def procs, the tank proc) are so huge, that they in many ways are worth more than 2 SOs slotted somewhere in some/many cases. When you consider that, comparing even a hybrid so/proc build to a straight so build is far far far from apples to apples. The performance boost of a handful of expensive procs is SO high, that in some cases you really can get by with just those and generic IOs, and totally deal with fairly beefy difficulties, like 1/4, 1/6, and up. In fact, both def procs nets you 6%, which is close to weave at 3 power picks with no slotting, and _requires no end to run_. 2 res procs nets you somewhere between 6.5 - much higher (to all), which is ~ half of unslotted tough, _and requires no end to run_. When your tank (there are some!) has such heavy endurance costs that functioning is difficult, stripping out those two toggles for 4 procs can dramatically change how the tank (anything really) plays, and gives you 3 powers to pick that might otherwise be unpicked, like ohshit button armor buffs. On a generics only, or SOs only, that is a huge difference in function.
  9. Any idea if we will see them on sale?
  10. I think some things are kind of MEH at best, and really dont work at all for some. For instance, paralytic debuffs the debuff you apply from powers that debuff in some circumstances!!! ( if you do -def, it actually makes you do LESS -def; the same is true for -res) Look no further than gravitic radial!! (which I REALLY want to use on my storm/water fender or ta/rad fender). All around they work pretty good. I agree, the UI kind of stinks. It isn't the worst, but something could be better. Would I like new powers? Maybe, but im not sure what! Maybe an alternate to clarion (patch?) that provides rez proof? Just patches in general!
  11. After some hacking, moving things around a tiny, I ended up here: With Support hybrid: I don't have cane, and I dont have the buildup. Otherwise, the build is fairly similar. 109 end, so +recov has a bigger margin. Soooo excited for release!
  12. For what its worth, despite seeing variations in viability depending on context, I still strongly feel it is a well worked out balance. As others have said, not every set has to have all things all the time. You get a heal (that you can slot +end in), you get soul drain, you get -tohit all over. All told, it (as a whole) is definitely more solid. Some things people miss out on, and I definitely did, is fast stacking -tohit thanks to 2 aoes. Early and early-mid game, this is amazing. It really boosts survival.
  13. Both my tanks run fold space, but unlike fa/dm, i cant just burn it all down at once. It is difficult to track hard targets. Is there a way to do something like "target next boss"?
  14. @Bopperthis will sound stupid, but... Messing around with whirling hands and power crash, I don't really understand how this looks like in something remotely like an effective chain. Frankly, I slot for some dam, some rech, some acc, some end. I have zero understanding of how PC/WH actually works when you are trying to pump out damage (on a tank), despite the huge target caps and radii. Fundamentally, how do these two work together to (effectively) clear trash? Despite lots of testing, I really dont understand! Again, on a tank. edit: Caveat. I am slotting 2? damage procs and some mixed slotting in WH, which SEEMS ok, but I am not sure, since its all like a bunch of 40-ish damage ticks at once...
  15. HAHAHAHAH yes, give me TWO burns please! FA burn, DM burn. I LOVE YOU SENTIENT BEING!
  16. So, do you guys recommend NOT taking hurricane? Because I am finding it to be, well, complicated in mishs. Even solo it is messy. I can position and herd as long as there is no outside influence, but I always run in a team, so it doesnt seem worth it? Also, oh crap, I totally forgot to proc out health, and to bump stamina. 😐 Back to the drawing board!
  17. So, I whipped out the good ole' tank. Short of TOTAL saturation, this is beat. I have 6 slotted straight damage procs into ToF. In total saturation, much damage is done. In casual play, where mobs are loosely contained, I only hit 1, maybe 2 people at once, and of that, not much chance of proc damage. So yea, its actually really good in total saturation. Not in total saturation? I have to revise and say yeah this is pretty crappy. But, it DOES fill the noob aoe damage niche. So I don't really know what the takeaway is... Fix? I am not sure. For absolute casual play, on 0/1 or 0/2 content, its kinda worthless. 😕 And I am on a tank! 16 targets on a 6 foot? I don't think that is even possible, since the bubble is offset! It is like, the power isn't really sure what it wants to be 😞 I have tried multiple slotting strategies. If I am not running "main tank" as it were, I just don't see it of value, since I cant manage agro and mob positioning to maximize it. Frankly, to even fit 16 targets in one physical space, I bet you have to have a bigger than 6 foot bubble to start!!!
  18. @Hero StarRe: +3 (levelshifted) or +4 mu or sappers, it can be tricky. The answer is actually counter-intuitive. Fire consume BEFORE engaging, for the 50% end resist. Mu by and large aren't an issue. Multiple malta sappers is a different ball of wax. Managing agro is actually tied to whether I get the drop, or them on me. In any circumstance where I have initiative, either FS or CT fix the problem for me. I can lay traps in FS to offset inbound sappage, or with CT I can CT -> EF instant nukage. With dark consumption, anything that consume (end resist) couldn't shrug off, I can top back up on. At incarnate levels, running with ageless +recov makes it a matter of living through the alpha-sap. If I can live through the alpha-sap (CT or FS as distraction), it is total game over for the bad guys. At lower levels, it gets interesting, and I may end up with a over 41 build, and an under 41 build. Fences is slotted with grav anchor chance for hold (power at 35), and that fires A LOT. 1 hold proc, 1 acc/end/dam, and 4 dam procs. You could swap a dam for enmanip +stun proc as well, for 2 control options, or even manip, grav, and rag chance for +kd to get MASSIVE alpha dispersal. I like it doing damage at the moment, but from play the procs do the most damage for fences. I think from experience (specifically what you mentioned), I may move it to grav/manip/rag/(a/d)/damproc/(damproc or -resist) Just need to tinker with it. Since fences fires _first_ for "portion control" (snicker), it would make sense to have it pop -resist, to follow up with fiery embrace (if up), soul drain, burn, cleanup. To be honest, that might be the best option, since it helps manage alpha strikes I might initiate with combat teleport, and sure as hell does for one i start with fold space. EDIT: Buyer beware! Mass slaughter of carnies in melee range at one time without fairly high defenses is, well. You only need a few to get you to cause end problems. Keep blues handy!
  19. I recommend fold space! Like, legit. Lay down your cage, fold space, profit. Go for insane recharge, bring energizing circuit as close to perma as you can (it is self propogating with +rech), perma amp up (2 50+5 rechs), 4-ish slot the cage (you can slot it pretty interestingly and still get 16.5% rez all but tox). You can get weird things going like panacea proc in insulating. Tree lovers know that drill. 😄
  20. @Sovera PLUS, CT gets you bouncing around mob to mob veeeery fast. I can pinball and drag agro across the map; With the initial FS + fences + burn, I can stand there till burn is half through, ct into a second mass, fences again, burn again, ToF, FS post-alpha, drain, consume, burn, fences, ct, repeat. Its kind of, well, funny. 😛 On a team, it is just a bit of cleanup duty. I generate so much hate that cleanup duty doesnt seem to put anyone in any danger.
  21. This isnt actually the final build. The final build sits on beta and has been further tweaked. The build is built with perma-soul drain in mind, and has been tinkered with endlessly since beta dropped. For instance, the final build no longer has blazing aura, but has max-rech slotted fiery embrace, to maximize +damage. Teleport is there for combat teleport and fold space. It is actually 1 slot short for fold space. Literally all I do is walk a few feet, fold space, fences, drain, burn, move on to next mob with combat teleport while original drain is still running. Touch of fear fills some damage here and there, as does maul. I have to export somehow the beta build, but this is the foundation on its build: Hero Plan by Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer 2.6.0.7 https://github.com/Crytilis/mids-reborn-hero-designer Click this DataLink to open the build! bleh: Level 50 Natural Tanker Primary Power Set: Fiery Aura Secondary Power Set: Dark Melee Power Pool: Teleportation Power Pool: Fighting Power Pool: Speed Ancillary Pool: Mu Mastery Hero Profile: Level 1: Fire Shield -- Ags-ResDam/EndRdx(A), Ags-ResDam(5), Ags-ResDam/Rchg(7), UnbGrd-Max HP%(7) Level 1: Shadow Punch -- KntCmb-Acc/Dmg(A), KntCmb-Dmg/EndRdx(3), KntCmb-Dmg/Rchg(3), KntCmb-Dmg/EndRdx/Rchg(5) Level 2: Smite -- SprGntFis-Rchg/+Absorb(A), SprGntFis-Acc/Dmg(45), SprGntFis-Dmg/Rchg(45), SprGntFis-Acc/Dmg/Rchg(46), SprGntFis-Dmg/EndRdx/Rchg(46), SprGntFis-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx/Rchg(46) Level 4: Blazing Aura -- FuroftheG-ResDeb%(A) Level 6: Shadow Maul -- ScrDrv-Dam%(A), ScrDrv-Acc/Dmg(17), ScrDrv-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx(43), ScrDrv-Dmg/EndRdx(43), ScrDrv-Dmg/Rchg(45) Level 8: Temperature Protection -- GldArm-3defTpProc(A), StdPrt-ResDam/Def+(9) Level 10: Healing Flames -- NmnCnv-Heal/EndRdx(A), NmnCnv-Heal(11), NmnCnv-Heal/Rchg(11), StdPrt-ResKB(31) Level 12: Taunt -- MckBrt-Taunt(A), MckBrt-Taunt/Rng(13), MckBrt-Taunt/Rchg/Rng(13), MckBrt-Taunt/Rchg(15) Level 14: Consume -- Arm-Acc/Dmg/Rchg(A), SynSck-EndMod/+RunSpeed(15) Level 16: Plasma Shield -- Ags-ResDam/EndRdx(A), Ags-ResDam(17), Ags-ResDam/Rchg(19), Ags-ResDam/EndRdx/Rchg(19), Ags-EndRdx/Rchg(21) Level 18: Burn -- Erd-Dmg(A), Erd-%Dam(21), Erd-Acc/Dmg/Rchg(23), Obl-%Dam(23), ScrDrv-Dam%(25), Arm-Dam%(25) Level 20: Siphon Life -- SprMghoft-Acc/Dmg(A), SprMghoft-Dmg/Rchg(39), SprMghoft-Acc/Dmg/Rchg(39), SprMghoft-Dmg/EndRdx/Rchg(40), SprMghoft-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx/Rchg(40), SprMghoft-Rchg/Res%(40) Level 22: Touch of Fear -- Empty(A), Empty(34), Empty(34), Empty(34), Empty(37), Empty(39) Level 24: Recall Friend -- Empty(A), Empty(43) Level 26: Boxing -- Empty(A) Level 28: Tough -- Ags-ResDam/EndRdx(A), Ags-ResDam(29), Ags-ResDam/Rchg(29) Level 30: Soul Drain -- SprAvl-Rchg/KDProc(A), SprAvl-Acc/Dmg/Rchg(31), SprAvl-Dmg/EndRdx(31), SprAvl-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx(33), SprAvl-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx/Rchg(33), ToHit-I(33) Level 32: Teleport Foe -- BlsoftheZ-ResKB(A), Empty(42) Level 35: Electrifying Fences -- GrvAnc-Hold%(A), PstBls-Dam%(36), TraoftheH-Dam%(36), Bmbdmt-+FireDmg(36), Ann-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx(37), JvlVll-Dam%(37) Level 38: Midnight Grasp -- SprBlsCol-Rchg/HoldProc(A), SprBlsCol-Acc/Dmg(42), SprBlsCol-Dmg/EndRdx(48), SprBlsCol-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx(48), SprBlsCol-Acc/Dmg/Rchg(48) Level 41: Hasten -- RechRdx-I(A), RechRdx-I(42) Level 44: Long Range Teleport -- Empty(A) Level 47: Dark Consumption -- Arm-Dmg/Rchg(A) Level 49: Weave -- Rct-ResDam%(A), ShlWal-ResDam/Re TP(50), LucoftheG-Def/Rchg+(50), LucoftheG-Def(50) Level 1: Brawl -- Empty(A) Level 1: Gauntlet Level 1: Prestige Power Dash -- Empty(A) Level 1: Prestige Power Slide -- Empty(A) Level 1: Prestige Power Quick -- Empty(A) Level 1: Prestige Power Rush -- Empty(A) Level 1: Prestige Power Surge -- Empty(A) Level 1: Sprint -- Empty(A) Level 2: Rest -- Empty(A) Level 4: Ninja Run Level 2: Swift -- Empty(A) Level 2: Health -- Pnc-Heal/+End(A), NmnCnv-Regen/Rcvry+(9), Mrc-Rcvry+(27) Level 2: Hurdle -- Empty(A) Level 2: Stamina -- PwrTrns-+Heal(A), PwrTrns-EndMod(27) Level 50: Melee Core Embodiment Level 50: Agility Core Paragon Level 50: Ageless Core Epiphany ------------
  22. I LOVE the Praetorian PD grid barrier thingy. That is AWESOME stuff. I wish I could get to use the costume pieces, but hey.
  23. It would be nice for 90% cold, you know, for cold. This is pretty nasty, and as long as I pop consume before dealing with sappers, it is immensely hard to take down. Cold moves to 87%, toxic to 67, and psi to 47 with saturated melee core. This is with _agility_ core, not any alpha that provides resist. PLEASE do not go messing around with fire armor. Thank you. (edit: this is with no tanker proc stacks, and with ageless (not barrier) as my destiny)
