I realize this is pretty rare (there were 2 as of March 2020). Currently up to lvl 32 and having a good time with it. As the pets are mostly melee, I try to situate myself so the FFG covers them and drop Acid Mortar, Poison Trap and Caltrops as needed. With no means of healing the pets, I do resummon them a lot. Haven't slotted any of the ATOs yet, but currently have the Edict, Sovereign and Call to Arms uniques. Including their innate defense, the pets are soft capped when they're in the bubble, but they do tend to get blown up by exploding foes. Looking at the ATOs, is it a good plan to swap the CotM AoE defense aura for the Call to Arms defense aura? I lose the 5.25% S/L resist set bonus, but the pets swap 10% AoE defense for 5% base defense. I'm also debating whether to swap the MoS Acc/End for the Expedient Reinforcement 10% resist aura. I would lose the 4.5% S/L/F/C/E/N resist set bonus. I realize Detonator sucks, but I ran out of powers I wanted at the end. Open to suggestions. This is for a /Traps MM, but presumably would apply to any AT. Does Power Boost buff the defense from Force Field Generator, and if so, is it for 15 seconds or the full 4 minutes (assuming Power Boost is activated before summoning the FFG)?

SoW has a 2 minute duration and a 5 minute recharge (unenhanceable). RoP has a 1 minute duration and a 3 minute recharge (unenhanceable). As I said, this gives SoW 40% uptime and RoP 33% uptime. Comparing the fully enhanced tank values, SoW provides 39% S/L and 19.5% non-S/L resistance, while RoP provides 29.25% resistance to all. If you're also taking Tough, you're at 70.2% S/L before using either (ignoring set bonuses) and the extra S/L resistance in SoW is superfluous. SoW also has a recovery buff, which WP doesn't really need, and repel protection, which is of pretty limited use. RoP has no endurance crash. Both have KB and mezz protection. If you're using either in an "oh shit" context, the question is whether you need more than 1 minute.

I think the more relevant fact is that Rune of Protection, a pool power, is arguably better than Strength of Will, a T9. It provides superior resistance to F/C/E/N/P/T with close to the same uptime (33% vs. 40%). Granted it requires you take 3 powers from the Sorcery Pool. That said, the buff I would rather see WP get is resistance to end drain and recovery debuffs.

Several points of clarification. Set bonuses and globals continue working 3 levels below the level of the IO (or 3 levels below the minimum level at which the IO can be slotted if attuned) regardless of whether the power is active when exemplared. Set bonuses of purple and PVP sets ignore exemplaring and always work. Procs don't follow the 3 level below rule but do require the power to be active. I do this as well, although I often hold off on slotting attuned sets until level 27 (upper tier attuned sets often can't be slotted below that level). Alternatively, I may slot a lower tier set and then unslot it when I hit 27 (removed IOs get converted and sold).- 78 replies

Oklahoman hosts Master of Magisterium badge runs (which doesn't require RHW) pretty often on Excelsior and advertises on LFG. I think Triple Threat (defeating Chimera, Shadowhunter and Nega-Pendragon within 5 seconds of one another) is harder than RHW. It is a trial that benefits from repetition and knowing the mechanics of the AV fights. You need Lore and Destiny unlocked to participate, and most leaders want you to be +3 shifted. Galaxy Brain runs Master of Underground frequently on Excelsior. It runs very smoothly, although he does ask participants to join on Discord as there are several badges that require league coordination. While it is long, I don't find it grindy. You are guaranteed to receive a rare or very rare component.

They're both already a thing. I think he wants to do PVE stuff in PVP zones without being ganked. Gladiator matches happen in the arena, not in PVP zones, so not sure what's being suggested.

There are a lot of good pairings that work with Time, but I would suggest Time/Beam. Beam gives you additional -regen and -resist for hard targets. Make sure you take Power or Soul Mastery for your epic. Power Boost/Power Build Up + Farsight will soft cap your defense.

Hey, it's your concept and if you have fun, go for it. The problem is that all your stuns are mag 2. Enhancing them increases the duration, but not the magnitude, so you need to stack them if you want stun anything higher than a minion. HT is on a long recharge so it's not an every spawn power (and dropping a purple stun set in Howling Twilight seems like a waste). OG is a melee PBAoE, so to stack it with Dark Pit you need to run into a spawn and then cast Dark Pit where you're standing. Meanwhile, many of your attacks are cones, so you have to reposition to use them. You're using a lot of slots to enhance decidedly weak powers and skimping on the signature powers of a D/D/D. Skipping Blackstar? and Soul Drain? Waiting until lvl 32 for Tar Patch? If you really want to stun and do damage, I think this concept would work much better as a Dominator.

I have the full set in Bitter Ice Blast. Any longish recharge power is a good bet, but recommend that you 6-slot the set - the 5 and 6 slot bonuses are quite good. -
Be glad that Stone has resistance to end drain and recovery debuffs. I've had Mu Adepts toggle drop my /WP brute.

That may be, but the power doesn't accept accuracy enhancements. It may allow you to slot a Hold set IO that includes accuracy, but fairly certain it won't increase the power's accuracy.

Notwithstanding the set bonuses from Basilisk's Gaze, Poison Trap is autohit and doesn't even accept accuracy enhancements. Recharge, EndRed and Hold are the only attributes that can be enhanced. You could 2-slot with recharge IOs or frankenslot with 2-3 recharge/hold IOs.

I like this for the simple reason that I skipped the T1 on my Rad/Rad and therefore never receive the Offensive mode bonus. It currently works like this. What about having a separate button ala Domination? This would allow you to use a T1/T2 attack when the meter is full without triggering Vulnerability. I frequently face foes with just a sliver of health but don't want to use the T2 blast on them as that would waste Vulnerability.
