  1. I have done that mission a dozen times and never seen that happen. Are you using any kind of knockback? Maybe petition a GM and see if they can fix it?
  2. One thing to note Redlynne, you can turn xp off at 10, 15, and 20 and still do all arcs just fine. If Marchand or Scott send you to the next zone you just have to talk to the contact directly. They will still give you missions. Having the extra power at 10 can really help with the early missions.
  3. I decided to do the old alternate Earth setup for my main account. Each Blueside character has a Goldside alternate, complete with the requisite Van Dyke beard.
  4. You can turn off xp at level 10, 15, and 20 for each respective zone if you want to keep from outleveling content. That extra power in Nova can come in handy. I actually saw another player last night in Praetoria, I was surprised!
  5. That 2 minute timer is no longer in effect. It counts down but nothing happens when it runs out. Basically just kill all the Clockwork in whatever time and then bask in Metronome's tears.
  6. There is only one mission that I can think of that is hard (but loads of fun if you have good AoE). On the Loyalist side Bobcat gives you a mission to hunt down a Syndicate guy. The mission where you find him you get ambushed by a HORDE of Syndicate. It is pretty non-stop spawning, dozens if not hundreds of -def/-res debuffing, stealth immune, go gangers that will follow you through elevators. Turn on your combat stat monitors and watch your defenses plummet! Everything else in Praetoria is pretty standard. I have 15 characters going thru Goldside (level 1 - 20, not flashback), doing all 4 arcs per zone. The story is tied nicely together and doing the whole double agent thing makes it even more interesting. I highly recommend doing it at least once.
  7. Sorry to hear about the passing of your friend jubakumbi.
  8. I think an instant 50 option should be considered. However, I think it should be available at the P2W vendor for 500 million (or more). That way, if you can afford it, you can easily afford to outfit your newly minted 50. Giving someone new to the game (or someone without a lot of influence on hand) access to an instant 50 is more of a punishment than a benefit.
  9. Or like how you will always miss after eating a yellow inspiration.
  10. To-Hit nerfs happen every patch/update. It was hardcoded into the software. It was well documented after every patch when the game was Live. /snark
  11. Wentworth's is nice as it gives you a free teleport to any Wentworth location. Nice way to get to around when you are in the far end of a zone and don't feel like hoofin it.
  12. Personally, I am in no rush to get to 50 (my highest is level 23). I enjoy the early game, and don't mind not being at full power. Currently I am running numerous alts through Praetoria, doing all of the undercover/double agent stories and having a blast. Heck, most of the time I have xp shut off so I wont out level contacts. Sure I could blow through it and come back through Oro later to complete everything but that's not how I want to play. I guess I prefer the journey more than the destination. To quote Daniel Jackson, "Anyway I’m sorry, but that just happens to be how I feel about it. What do you think?"
  13. I use the Corsair Scimitar Pro RGB paired with the Corsair K95 RGB keyboard. Plenty of macro buttons. The software isn't the most user friendly, but it does get the job done. The best keyboard and mouse I have ever used.
  14. She's a keeper
  15. The game is extremely solo friendly. Yes, Controllers and to some extent Defenders will be slow going but it can be done. Scrappers, Brutes, Blasters and Corruptors tend to be the easiest for my play style (I dislike pet classes). Out of 30 characters so far this go around, the easiest and most fun for me has been an Archery/Tactical Arrow Blaster but ymmv.
  16. Ooh can we have an unofficial old people server? Maybe some place where I don't have to yell at the kids to get of my lawn.
  17. Dunno if it is taken, but another good name for a SG with a laid back play style Filthy Casuals What server are you playing on MadPoet? And before I forget... "How can you have any pudding if you don't eat yer meat?"
  18. The badges are gained for completing each of the 4 arcs, completing all arc mission in each of the three zones, and for successfully escaping Praetoria (mission to go to Paragon or Rogue Isles). I could not find info on the badges on Paragon Wiki. AFAIK you cannot use Ouroboros to come back and do the story arcs, unless I25 changed things.
  19. Be advised that if you do intend to get the badges as you level up you will need to turn off XP gain at level 10 (max level for Nova missions), level 15 (max level for Imperial City missions) and level 20 (max level for Neutropolis missions) or you will out level the contacts.
  20. Also note for badge hunters there are badges for completing all missions for all factions. I just ran one character through as a deep cover Resistance Warden. Some of the undercover missions give an interesting nuance to the story.
  21. I'm pretty sure Torchbearer and all other Homecoming servers were spun up fresh and new with no established 'private' playerbase.
  22. I remember when the level cap was 40.
  23. Heheh I will be 54 in 14 days. Old man ;D
  24. I was glad for it last night after casually stepping off the top of the globe without remembering I used to be much higher level before I could reach it. Good thing you can't die from fall damage. Now, if you take a hit after falling...
  25. Just agree to disagree already. Pointless arguments are pointless.
