  1. If there is someone to listen to about making a tanky character in this game, it's that dude. I remember he was looking at making a character to fit his needs and tried DB/BIO first. He really O_O the damage, but db/bio just didn't have the survivability. Kat/Bio has a really neat chain. It feels fast and chunky and the DPS is DEFINITELY there. Kanil can attest to my frustration figuring out a good chain for it, but once I did I went "OK, this thing really cooks".
  2. Here's the chain I did to get my post-nerf average: BM-(Momentum start)RA-AoD-FT-RA-AoD-FT-RA(Momentum end)-CB-(Momentum start)AoD-FT-RA-AoD{Momentum end)-CB-(Momentum start)FT-AoD-BM Repeat Had ATO2 in Rend Armor and would open the fight with Melt Armor.
  3. EM, DB, and KAT are your best DPS performers in that order (I mention these because you did earlier). The difference with them really isn't that much at the top end. All three sets feel pretty different. DB and KAT do a good job of looking fairly different play wise despite both having swords. And swords are pretty cool aesthetics to me. I will give Kat a nod for more survivability due to Divine Avalanche. I just take it as a set mule for a LOTG but I've found myself using it more than I expected to help alleviate alphas. TW does not suck. It just got brought in line DPS wise with most of the other sets and it's best attack chain was massively simplified. There really aren't any primaries that suck. It's just Electrical Melee and Staff Fighting are not gonna be able to do this. So, TW is still good (really good actually) but it's AOE was noticeably nerfed. DM/BIO is a lot of fun. I actually used this one to solo the LRSF and LGTF. The DPS isn't as high as the other sets with one stack of soul drain, but it is fun to play. If you can leverage soul drain to stay pretty stacked, it starts cranking out some pretty good numbers. If I get off my lazy ass and simulate that with reds on a pylon I'd have a better idea.
  4. Honestly, no secondary stands out to me as long as it can hit that baseline survivability. And it really depends on the player and their playstyle at that point. I'd really only say Regen cause you have to spend so much time managing the secondary to live, as opposed to attacking (DPS for this is VERY important). Inspirations definitely cover a lot of ground in terms of living (purples and oranges FTW) and even getting more DMG. Base temps are sooooooper cheap too (20% recharge is a chaos theorem, kinetic weapon, and some other common salvage...that's it, and it lasts an hour). Envenomed Dagger is also cheap AF at the P2W vendor if people think they need the extra -REG, or just want to make it easier. Same thing with Recovery Serum.
  5. Well, the baseline for that is actually pretty low. Then it becomes nigh impossible. I've been able to solo everything up to BAF/LAM with my scrappers (this includes apex/tin). It just takes hitting a minimum DPS/Survivability line. DPS wise, Staff, Electric, and Spines definitely stand out as primaries that can't do this. All the others can I think? I'm fairly confident I could solo LAM with more than a few differrent primaries though. Not so sure about BAF due to the prisoner part. Oh, and this doesn't include Hamidon or Seed of Hamidon. I KNOW I couldn't solo a Hamidon raid by myself. I don't have enough experience with SoH. I know I've solo-ed a LGTF with a scrapper. Once. I will never do that again. The Hami fight of that TF was not a fun experience. Lusca is the longest GM to solo due to how many fights it actually is. Which also made it the hardest. Attention span and ish. All the other GMs are actually pretty easy. This humble brag hopefully has some decent information in it.
  6. Save the costume. Do EM/SR brute for taunt if you don't wanna give up doing SR for a secondary. EM/ENA would have a taunt aura. Not sure if you always stay invis with ENA now or you have the option to suppress that. There is also EM/SD if you want the shield aesthetic. And if you don't, I am pretty sure there are some shield that are VERY minimalistic.
  7. I used to do fire farms with a TW/RAD for funsies when I saw I was resistance capped for fire with rad armor. So, Rad Armor caught me off guard being able to active fire farm due to that. Ice Melee is a WAY safer active farmer than people think about due to Ice Patch. I really imagine Ice/Fire/Zapp-BallLightning being a fun farmer. Drop Ice Patch, crit strikes in GFS. Drop Burn, FA, then BL. Runners can't get away in time due to Ice Patch falling around. And the build would also be a ST monster. I have farmed with my Ice/Bio/BallLightning scrapper and it's stupidly safe. Obviously, the best farmer is the one you can tolerate playing for more than a few minutes.
  8. That thugs/storm time by Zeraphia isn't surprising at all. I've always wondered how silly a Thugs/Cold MM with Burnout could do. I've gotten times between :26 and :36s with my Ice/Cold Corr and Crabstermind when popping lore and turning on Support. Debuffs and pets do crazy things. Oh, I was averaging :52s with my TW/BIO before the nerf. I feel petty stating that, but it's definitely a gloat. Did Olivia Crowley post that vid anywhere? I remember watching that vid and going "lol welp that's awesome". I coulda swore it was less than a minute. Also, @Kachooman, this data is REALLY appreciated. You saw the list I made. I am a data nut. This is awesome.
  9. This is a big reason why all my current scrappers are Bio. One, it is crazy DPS. Two, they all compare well with the other sets. This way, I can confidently say if a scrapper set is good/bad. So far, I haven't found a numerically bad set. Most sets really do perform the same number wise. The only real outliers I've found are Staff Melee and Electrical Melee. I freaking love the feel and look of staff, but it is dead last in terms of numerical performance. Electrical Melee isn't doing great ST DPS, but the set never tried to be a jack-of-all-trades either. And the stalker version of EM actually cooks pretty fast with ST. And still keeps it's AOE. Staff Melee stalkers still lag pretty far behind Electrical Melee stalkers with ST. Not to mention AOE. Sad, really. Staff needs the TW treatment in the opposite direction. That would actually be really baller. Just pump the base numbers up until you are getting similar performance to other sets.

    Mace/Regen

Recovery Serums. They're dirt cheap and super effective.
  11. This is my thing. Is it fun? Yes? Who cares. Not like you have to run a min/max character to run mythic crap in this game or something. And honestly, that doesn't sound like a bad combo numbers wise, at all. KM Stalks historically have put out good numbers.
  12. The feel of the set isn't for everyone. that's for sure. But you can skip Conc Strke and only use those fast-animation attacks and still do decent DPS. I've ran both sets at maxed out IOed levels. I will go there. 🙂
  13. SomeGuy

    Mace/Regen

Friends don't let friends join the USAF as security forces. In this instance, security forces is regen. Do something else. Anything else. Seriously, all the other armor sets are good. Mace/Rad?
  14. You really shouldn't play Rad Melee then. 😄 KM has a rep for fast animation times. It doesn't have anything with a medium-long animation time for it's best ST chain other than Concentration Strike. The BM fight on Apex is pretty crappy towards melee. I wouldn't judge a melee set on that fight.
  15. Brutes are pretty well between tanker and scrappers, damage and survivability wise. Just comes down to what you value more, and if you can't decide, you Brute. Then probably never look back. They are an awesome class, and the game really was City of Brutes at one point. Everyone played a brute. The DPS is really predictable (this is a good thing IMO) and so is the survivability. But why a Brute...You want to do more than Tanker DPS, but want to live more than a scrapper/stalker. Or you want to do damage similar (but not quite) as well as a scrapper/stalker but want a taunt aura. A lack of taunt aura is why I won't do Fiery Aura on anything other than a Brute. And boy howdy, FA is fun.
  16. It really is. Honestly, I'm wondering if a thread just in the AT forums with the current list (or something, whatever) consolidating it in the OP, and the next few posts bookmarked by other posters in case the OP needs to dip out, is an idea, Or can a mod move this thread to the general AT forums and do something similar? I'm not sure. I know this thread is in the scrapper forums, but it has ALL the ATs measuring their performance with pylons.
  17. The build, if you're curious, is in this thread: The build runs T4 Muscle, Barrier, Reactive, and Support. Support isn't active, just slotted, for the runs. Support gives a universal end discount when slotted so it's a big help on this one. And I only take the build to 40% ranged defense and let barrier cover the last 5% (even when it's at it's weakest). I open with Venom Grenade and Shatter Armor to start stacking -RES. I reapply Venom as close to 16s as I can and Shatter Armor every 20s (that is how long the -res debuff lasts for each). Venom-Shatter BU-Single-Burst-Single. The build doesn't have any issues with AOE. I've farmed with it plenty. Heavy Burst, Suppression, and Venom Grenade combined with the pets make mobs drop fine. The build is really versatile, especially considering how much it brings to the team. Just not with personal DPS.
  18. oh hey bringing old school back Crabstermind 0:52 That's not a typo. That's not a best run. That's an average.
  19. I don't remember the hard time average, but I personally watched Kanil get multiple runs in the 1:30s with a BS/BIO(/X?) scrapper. I'm not sure when the TW nerf happen. I do know I was averaging 0:52s with my TW/BIO/MA scrapper. I know I wasn't getting crazy differences in pre and post nerf moonbeam times. Five to six seconds. Nothing crazy that can't be covered with RNG. So a hard date for when that happened is cool, but I personally am not to crazy about it.
  20. Please do. I'll shoot you a PM of the times I have collected.
  21. Ice/Cold/Mace Corruptor 1:53 I always felt sloppy doing these runs, I really feel like this time could be a lot lower. I'm definitely not as experienced with ranged as I am with melee. For fun, I did two runs with T4 BP Lore and T4 Support running. :28 and :36. Freaking lol. -RES is pretty cool.
  22. Sent you mine. It still takes Whirling Mace. And I usually skip Crowd Control, but it fit so I took it.
  23. But Elelctrical Melee suc... ElM/SD/MB Stalker 2:29 LAWL
  24. I DEFINITELY see the appeal of this, but this wasn't a good change to a lot of vet players that took the time to really figure out how to get the most out of sets like that. Oh well. I get the whole "best for all, woe for some" mentality.
  25. This. I don't really care about the math at this point any more. I just know I use the times as a metric to compare builds to each other. @Bill Z Bubba Yeah, if you aren't doing MB/GL that's the way to go. If you do throw them in, then obviously it changes things. You just replace Slash with MB/GL every other rotation. But the ole tried and true FU SL FOC is a classic that you can't ever go wrong with.
