Hi all! I'm looking for a great, all around Scrapper that can 4x8 endgame content when built out and allow me to put the hurting on AV's! I've rolled one scrapper so far, a DM/Shield. While very strong, I've also run several Shield Defense Tankers and I'm just looking for something a bit different! I was thinking maybe Claws or Katana matched up with /Bio or /Energy Aura. Both seem like they could be well rounded. That being said, I know there is a lot of awesome stuff out there! If anyone has any power set combos they'd like to recommend, or builds to share, I'd love to hear/see them!

Hey Blasters! I’m a “melee” main who is returning to the game after a few months away. I’ve always been envious of Blasters just demolishing a room, so I thought I’d give one a shot =P I was looking at either Fire/Elec or Fire/Time. Fire/Elec I’ve heard is one of the premiere “in your face” blapper combos. That could be attractive to me, since I’m mostly melee type player. Fire/Time seems like it has some nice synergy though, with some -Regen that could probably help it melt AV’s. Any advice or input on these combos would be appreciated! Also, if you have other power set combos that you feel make up a God Blaster, please feel free to throw them out there!

Appreciate this man! Are there any particular primaries you think pair well with either /Bio or /EnA?

Necroing this a bit @Sovera! I’m still in search of a scrapper to play, and I thought this Claws/Bio combo looked really solid. I know you’ve been playing some other scrappers as of late as well. I’m torn between going Claws/Bio, Claws/EA or matching either /Bio or /EA with Katana.

I’ve been taking a break myself Sov, but reading this… you’re re-ignited my passion to get in there with my Fire/Ice Tanker (no pun intended)!

These are great insights, thanks all! Are there any primaries you’d recommend to go with Electric Armor on a Brute? I know Claws/Electric is a classic.

Very good point as well. I was just wondering why these things seem to make it shine on a Brute over say, a Tanker? I guess the fact that some of the resist sets you might have trouble capping on a Brute, without giving up too much damage. Might not be the case with Electric Armor!

I keep hearing that Electric Armor really shines on Brutes. Can someone share the reasoning for me? I was looking at it, and my guess is that it can hit it’s resist caps fairly easily (even on a Brute). Which I guess means you get some serious tankyness, while also maintaining the potential larger damage a Brute can dish out?

Haha 😂 honestly so true, Time/DP seems to be a very popular combo!!! Rightfully so, it seems. I’m hoping to level 2 Defenders up just so I can compare play styles. Torn between TA/Archery and Storm/Water for my second one. Probably leaning a little more towards Storm/Water.

The Defender I started was Time/DP, mostly for thematic reasons. This thread has been SUPER help though, so I'm looking forward to running a Storm/ and a TA/ Defender in the future!

This made me lol! Storm does seem like a hoot. I'm thinking of pairing it with either Dark or Water myself when I roll one. Looking forward to it.

True, probably makes it a very “set up and than knock it out of the park” type of feeling with TA haha. QQ: you mentioned 3 primaries had Mez protection. Which ones would those be?

This is extremely helpful Ank, thank you so much! Only issue now is, you've made me want to do a couple defenders 😂 I think Time/DP might be a cool combo. I've looked at Trick Arrow/DP, but I'm wondering if the redraw between the 2 sets would drive me nuts haha.

Hi heroes! Going to pull the trigger on my first Defender. I'm a historical Tanker/Scrapper player, so I'm looking forward to playing something a bit more supportive. I've always enjoyed teaming, so I feel a Defender shines there. That being said, I'd also love to having something that can solo well and deal with AV's/tough enemies. Some combos I was looking at: Storm/Water or Dark Blast: Storm I hear shines on a Defender. Pairing it with either Water or Dark Blast for a heal seems like it could be nice! Trick Arrow/Dual Pistols: Sounds sweet, but will the redraw between weapons drive me crazy? Haha Time/Dual Pistols: Started off mostly as a thematic choice, but it seems like they could really pair well. Time seems to do a little bit of everything, and the synergy between DP toxic rounds and a Defender seems like you could really dish out the debuffs. Trick Arrow/Archery: Trick Arrow seems like it is pretty strong after the changes, with great debuffs. An Archery hero is very thematic as well. Rad/Dark or Rad Blast: Rad Emission seems to be the classic AV Killer. I liked Dark Blast for the -tohit and heal, but Rad blast seems like it would pair nicely as well. Would love to hear thoughts from anyone, but I'm also open to any recommendations others may have!

Have your Fortunata Blood Widow build to 29 so far and having a lot of fun. Such a great mix of melee and range. I think it'd fair pretty well on these trapdoor tests. Feels like a Scrap-troller haha.

Thanks for all the work you put into these builds and your knowledge sharing Sovera! Thematically, you know I LOVE your Fire/Ice build. I, for one, willl be keeping Frozen Aura however 😂
