Thanks Shinobi! This is very helpful. I knew Rad Melee had it's heal, but I had no idea how strong it was! I have a DM/Shield scrapper (my only Scrapper currently), so perhaps I'll take a look at a couple other secondaries just to switch it up. I was looking at Ice Armor, but it is such an endurance hog so that scares me away a bit. Bio seems like it MAY be a bit more manageable.

Appreciate this Myshkin! All of that makes sense. Per your point of matching it with a secondary that has a damage aura, I was looking at either Bio or Ice Armor. Would you have a recommendation?

How does it perform on scrappers? I’ve always looked at it as a Brute/Tanker set, but it seems to do well on the Trapdoor tests. Anyone have any experience with it on scrappers? How do you feel it stacks up to other primaries?

Interesting thread! Rad/Bio is an interesting pair. I’ve looked at Rad Melee on Brutes and Tankers, but haven’t thought about picking it up on a Scrapper.

Yeah man! You know, I thought about that combo and it seemed like it would be PARTICULARLY good on a tank. Ultimate aggro control haha. I could see Ice/Spines or Ice/Rad being crazy on a tanker for the double damage auras and AOE damage.

Also, if you ever happen to have a build on hand for KM/Ice, I'd love to see it 😛 just started leveling. It seems every ability from Ice is needed. For KM, I'm planning on taking the first 3 attacks, AS, BU, Burst and the ranged attack and skipping out on the T9.

Hey JJ! Do you have a build for a Kinetic Melee/Ice Armor Stalker? I know it's a fairly rare combo. Also, I unfortunately don't have Mids (doesn't jive with my Mac :/) Are you ever able to copy and paste the builds here?

Would you say you typically use burst out of hide when engaging a group, than go through your standard rotation on a tough target? The idea of a Kinetic Melee/Ice Armor Stalker intrigues me.

I’ve been looking for something to partner with Ice Armor. You might have just sold me on claws lol.

My main is a Dark Armor/Staff Tanker, which led me to trying a Staff/Invuln Tanker. Low level, but so far I can attest to this. It feels super sturdy for a Stalker, maintains most of it's AOE goodness and picks up another great ST attack. Super solid combo.

Good to know man! Someone mentioned to me for that Ice/Ice Stalker is pretty nice. Apparently Ice Patch doesn't break hide and it's a good way to mitigate damage from baddies? Stalker could be an option as well 😛

Thanks for the suggestions man! My only other 50 scrapper is a DM/Shield, so I was THINKING of trying something else.... but DM does seem like it synergizes with pretty much everything 😂

Hey all! Maybe it was to do with Mortal Kombat coming out this week, but I want to give Ice Armor a go, and I think it seems like it would be a good fit on a Scrapper! Bastion seems like a pretty sweet T9. I don't see many Ice Armor heroes while I'm playing, so it thought I'd come to the forums and see if anyone had some advice! Potential pairings: Ice Melee/Ice Armor: Because I want to be COOL. Psi Melee/Ice Armor: Since both powersets have a -recharge, I felt it was pretty synergistic! In a way you're effectively making yourself a bit more tanky since baddies will be attacking you less. Katana/Ice: Katana Ice wielding Ninja sounds sweet. Are there any other pairings that people would recommend/are synergistic? Rad Melee springs to mind as well since it brings another heal Ice Armor could use.
