Any particular secondaries you would look to pair with Rad? I was looking at either Water, Rad or Dark Blast.

That is what I figured. Other options I guess would be either Devastating Blow or Radiation Siphon.

Hi all! I'm slotting out my new Shield/Rad Tanker. The hero already feels beastly. I was curious though: Does anyone have recommendations on where to slot Might of the Tanker? I know some may put it in Atom Smasher, but I was really hoping to slot an Superior Avalanche set in there for the KD effect. I could always just put in the Avalanche proc and 5 slot the rest of if with might of the tanker. My other thought is dropping it in Shield Charge, but that may be too long of a cooldown ability. Any advice?

I have a Water/Cold Corruptor, but a Storm/Water Defender seems intriguing. How have you liked leveling it?

This build looks like it'd be an absolute AV kill, but clean up trash mobs as well with spin. Very nice.

Great clarification. What is your reasoning for leaning towards a scrapper? I know Bio is known to shine on a scrapper as it makes them survivable *enough* while also boosting up their damage significantly.

Valid point. I had a costume that was closely inspired by The Guyver, and it was generic’d. Also made a homage hero to All Might from MHA named One IV All. He was actually generic’d that SAME day. So just be cognizant of it.

Very interested in running this combo myself. I’ve been looking for a tanker to try and do a @Werner rules ITF challenge, and I feel this would be a phenomenal combo to do it. @nihill was kind enough to share some insight into his build for me. If anyone else has experience with this combo and builds they’d like to share, that’d be wonderful!

Ice/Spines or Ice/Rad sound like they’d be the ultimate aggro tank haha

True, they seem like a REALLY solid match. I rolled my first willpower tanker not too long ago and matched it up with StJ, just for thematic reasons. I could definitely see Shield/StJ being a TON of fun though. I know it's not the BEST, but I dig Kinetic Melee's animations and I've been looking at it on a Tanker as well.

I'm a huge shield fan and I NEVER thought of stone melee with it. For some reason I always imagined it as a "2 handed" weapon type of thing due to the stone clubs. Awesome suggestion.

Yeah I remember a huge tanker thread talking about that once! I seem to remember Shield Defense being great at it. Any other combo’s you’d recommend?

Amen! That reminds me though: MA still the reigning Brunker King with Fire Armor?

I’d also recommend @Sovera’s fire tanker builds. For him, the best crowd control for baddies is death =P

Good to know! That is an interesting/cool interaction between Ice Armor and Rad Melee. To clarify, your “pet” will continue to do damage, even while you’re in hibernate?

Question on that: I heard that Rad Melee's AOE damage toggle continues to tick even when you use hibernate... I wonder if it's the same for Spines? Pretty cool interaction if so.
