Do you have a Drama Class whose students need class credit? A character whose passion is acting or just loves playing tricks on people or scaring them? Offering opportunities for you to come and scare people in my Haunted House! We already have the Costumes...(characters that are named the same and costumed the same on House accounts)...just like IRL, you're disguised, and no one knows who you are (except the rest of the staff). Unlike IRL, you don't have to spend a lot of time in makeup or shivering in 40 degree temperatures while you wait for your next victim!. We can quickly train you, it's simple, and fun! We are not looking for new costumes at this point, although we'd be happy to consider them next year, to make the experience different from this year. Please contact me if you are interested! I've gotten a lot of positive feedback and kudos on the Witch's House, the Halloween event base. I just wanted to cast the spotlight on other great builders, because without their genius, I could not have done what I did! We all share information in base building, and the sheer genius and creativity of this group as a whole is astounding. I really think we are better because we are together and share! I did not invent the slide I used frequently in my base. First, @Cloudless Night aka Claire came up with the Q rail, which was what I modified to do the funnel from last year, that is now the slope into the whirlpool. So clever to have figured out that you could slide on the alphabet hit box! Then the slide was further developed by @CrazyCat aka Gizmouse, who found an item that actually propelled a character in a certain direction. Another player (who is now gone from this server) found another piece that did the same thing, the heart in a jar, which has the added property of being something that disappears behind water! So all of my slides were things other players discovered, and I just put it all together. There are other players, too, who've contributed, both directly and indirectly. @Linea showed me long ago how to get rid of flicker, and a few other details I hadn't heard before. @Easter Bunny has crazy creative ideas and suggestions that have helped me improve and rethink certain sections. All you awesome base builders out there, I see your work, and so often, we inspire each other! Thanks for coming to visit, and I appreciate the feedback! All hours are correct. Tho, I'm not sure why you think the other shards are less? My base alone is open for at least 14 hours. Excelsior, the same. I really hope that Indom responds! I hope attendance is good over all the servers (working on Reunion's participation). -Dacy

And folks, feel free to make a toon and visit around; for example, not taking anything away from any of the other bases, but if you came to Everlasting, my base is not just a base, it's an experience, and you can put any treat you get in mail to yourself and have it over on the other server. You are also not just limited to one base or one visit. -Dacy

I'm responsible! *waves hand in the air* Well, I built the base. I need to do a shout out to my crew, without whom this would be so much less of a great experience: @Easter Bunny, whose creativity is dangerously off the charts, he's one lab accident away from being an evil genius. He's made many of the characters who now inhabit the depths of the base (although I've done the bios). His co-conspirator in costuming is @Ellyz, and they do beautiful work!! @IIIXJokerXIII designed one particularly appropriately named character, which inspired a whole section of the base. @VV has been helpfully working up schedules and things related to volunteers, and I have a host of others who are helping me in so many ways, from hosting AFK characters to manning scare critters to giving helpful publicity shout outs, I could not do this without all of you: @Conventus, @DawL, @vanessa (I hope I tagged the right one!) @BlackHearted, @Wravis, @Arklide, @betsumei, @rookery., and one more whose global I have yet to learn, plus several amazing GMs. You are all AWESOME and AMAZING people, and I love you all; thank you so much for all you do. -Dacy

I think it's well known among those of us who are frequently in bases, building, but less commonly known in general. I appreciate that you might feel lost, but I promise, just keep going and you will get out! 🙂 But I know, some people got turned around and wound up back where they started, and some got tired of trying, and some did not have much luck in a couple of places (and most of those are intentionally disorienting). I just hope no one has to use /stuck much! -Dacy

PM me with details, I am always interested in giving people the best experience, and I don't want them to get lost. Otoh, sometimes a little disorientation is just part of a haunted house. I've already put in some arrows and such in places where I observed some people having difficulty, so let me know where you felt it was difficult. Thank you all so much! I am the sole builder, but I’ve got a very amazing crew helping out with just everything!! @Easter Bunny is my number one, he’s done some amazing costume work, and has just been there nearly nonstxop this weekend, when I couldn’t be there. Plus, he operates some of the characters at times. @V.V (not sure of her forum name) has been invaluable as my Special Tormentor (her requested title) in gathering actor recruits and, like EB, chiming in with ideas. @IIXjokerXII (again unsure of forum name) came up with a character that inspired a whole section, and who has been a runaway hit, plus he and V.V have RL experience with Haunted Houses that has been helpful with planning the scares. Several GMs have been adding to the fun in huge ways, if you went in yesterday, you might know what I’m talking about. 😏 Not sure if I’m supposed to tag them or not… And, I have several scare actors who also helped hugely this weekend, with more joining soon. Shoutouts to @betsumei, @Rookery., and @Vududawl, hopefully I got those right. Oh, and to all of you, if you didn’t see anyone or get chased, TURN AROUND, also, TURN OFF SPRINT.
