  1. On a similar subject - how is Dominator damage at the top end? (Full IOs with AT and Purples, Permadom, etc) I know their damage scaling isn't -that- far behind a Blaster, but I'm not sure of their powers individually.
  2. This is an interesting one, and I find I don't have an answer for it really, aside from as many others have said.. the feel. I enjoy City of Heroes. I'm not a massive fan of its lore, stories, heroes or villains though. I wouldn't even say I'm a huge fanboy of it. I simply enjoy the way the game plays, I enjoy the classes, and powersets, and mechanics. It is fun to log in and 'do things'. I tried CO with a very open mind, as I said I wasn't married to CoX. I wasn't looking for something to replace the Heroes genre for me, I was looking for a new, fun MMO and the fact that it was based around comics was a bonus. But I just couldn't get into it. It didn't feel right. The powers didn't feel like they had the same umph. I didn't enjoy my characters as much (and I'm not someone who enjoys 'characters' with crazy back stories or concepts, I just mean fun in general). It just didn't hold me. And I think the same goes for most people as you could see from how quickly its playerbase fell off. So as I said, I don't have an answer, except its implementation just wasn't fun or catchy to most of us.
  3. Does anyone have a link to a place that lists all Lore pets and their abilities in an easy, single page like? Like special abilities (like the mentioned Fortitude, or how Longbow can do -Regen).
  4. Hi all! I'm new to Stalkers, but I'm getting ready to dive into the world. I like to have my final build kind of figured out before I start something so I know that it'll be in a place I'm happy with, so I'm trying to build out an end game/no holds bar build for this combo. I've stolen a few bits and ideas from other builds here, and now here I am.. Going for mostly Natural type build, and will depend on Ninja Run and temp powers and the like for real travel (though I might change). A few questions/things I'd like: 1) I've got 4 power choices open, not many open slots though. Could maybe pick up Body Mastery maybe for Superior Conditioning/Physical Perfection? 2) I'd like to have Serpent's Reach but I'm lacking the slots for it. 3) I'd like to fit in the -Res procs. Should I use my extra slots to fit those in to my main attacks? 4) Is Kismet needed with this much bonus accuracy? 5) Do I need both first attacks? Most rotations I've seen use them both when ST is involved. I know I have a ton of slots in Blinding Powder and Build Up, but the set bonuses for those are pretty amazing for maintaining the soft capped Defenses. Maybe there's another way to make it up? 5. As for Time's Junction, I haven't seen the point much, thus far not much gets through the massively boosted defenses from Clarion (putting them well over 60% even without outside buffs), and the debuff gets boosted from Clarion as well. Replacing it with an Enzyme is a great idea though. Agree a bit on the Aim slotting, but the overall bonuses are extremely nice from that set. So far it has been great to play. I'd like to be able to kill Elite Bosses a bit faster (and AVs are a total slog, even if they can't really do much), but in TFs and Trials the utility is pretty amazing while doing okay damage.
  6. That was pretty much my experience last night. It's going much better now with Clarion! I've already got him to 50+3, Alpha is Musculature, Destiny is Clarion (also T3) and it is perfect. Clarion+Far Sight (with no HOs actually) brings him to exactly 97% to hit. Showed me a bug that 97.0% does NOT like up your Snipe button, but you still get instant snipe :) Between that and the extra End Mod from Musculature, and all the IO set bonuses and all, the End issue is less of a thing. So capped defenses across the board (with a bunch of extra, just in case), Perma Hasten, Farsight and Soul Drain. It's pretty fun! Still a far cry from Blaster damage, but the tools you bring to a group, especially for AV killing and the like, are immense :)
  7. Can anyone tell me what the Sentinel damage scale is? Talking: https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Damage#Damage_Scale_by_Archetype
  8. Unfortunately it looks like the To Hit bonuses falls off pretty fast with ED. Even with four Membrane's in place it only brings To Hit to 96.6. Of course, zero Membrane's and one mob of Soul Drain are enough to get it to 97%, too. I do wish there was an easier/better route to insta-Snipe though without depending on that every 30 seconds.
  9. Thanks for the advice so far! I definitely like the idea of Clarion to help max out those defenses, plus it has the mez protection, so it is win/win. That said, I'm a bit torn for Alpha on this build. It's very end heavy when spamming attacks + debuffs and the toggles. I'd normally go Agility, but I'm wondering if that bonus End Mod is enough or if I'll need to go Cardiac. (In a perfect world I'd go Musculature because I like to go boomboom and I think I already bring plenty of buffs/debuffs as is, but I think that's off the table given the end usage).
  10. Man, I could not disagree more on Steam Spray. I've got Steam Spray with Positron's Blast (it has Range as part of its set), which makes the Cone reach MASSIVE, blanketing entire spawns. It's very satisfying to use and between it and a pumped up Water Burst it can destroy a spawn. The damage per activation on it is really great, and honestly I don't think you can have enough AOEs available to you considering modern gameplay of moving group to group and just wiping things out with little single target work.
  11. So I've frankensteined this build from a couple others posted here and modified it a bit. I've got softcapped Ranged/AOE without Incarnates, but I'm a little shy on melee so I'm looking for some info there. I'll try to keep it short. I'm new to Archery, so I have some questions there, and I'm also a bit new to the Sniper changes. 1) Does anyone see an easy way to squeeze a little more melee defense in? 2) Do I still need to keep To Hit over 25 for instant snipe? If so, do I have my build setup correctly? 3) I see most builds take Snap Shot AND Aimed Shot. I'm brand new to Archery, so... why is that? I figure most fights are very AOE heavy so I took all over those to cycle through them on Trials and TFs and the like. 4) Explosive Arrow: I don't see everyone putting knockback to knockdown in it. Why? I figure its nice to have yet another AOE that doesn't screw things over for the rest of the group. 5) Enhancement placement: I'm a bit new to corruptors as well, so I might not have placed the sets/procs in the ideal locations. Any advice? Also I'm not set on Dark Mastery, so I'm happy to toss that aside for another set or other powers. Thanks in advance! 12. You can monitor your stealth radius in the Combat Attributes window. Play around with them, see what happens.
  13. LOL imagine writing all that ^ to justify your poor grouping behavior and bad manners.
  14. I've been torn on the Fire Blast vs Fireball. Fireball would obviously be amazing for some extra damage (And is fun with a knockdown proc), but Fire Blast fully slotted would make AVs and big mobs a lot faster. For Soul Absorption, did you mean they have it right or wrong? Do you think without End mods and going only Healing it can still keep you full up on End easily enough?
  15. OP seems to really be reaching here. Our Consignment House market is very active, things are reasonably priced and plentiful. You can find anything you need there and nothing is too crazy. What exactly is the problem? That a shitty 50 set IO might cost 500k? That's fine. 500k is nothing, it's a couple boss mobs.
  16. I've been working on a VERY similar build to yours - but I wanted to note one thing: Scorpion Shield is basically useless to you. Your positionals (Melee/Ranged/AOE) are basically softcapped, so there's no reason going for S/L/E defense, since you have defense to literally 99% of attacks in the game with those 3 softcapped. I would suggest dumping Scorpion and going maybe Fire. This will get you almost to S/L resist softcap, and bring up your Fire/Cold a big chunk, too. Put Rags in Fireball. With that, you should look something like: 41% Melee/AOE/Ranged Defense 74% S/L resist 40% F resist 30% Cold/Energy Resist 35% Negative Resist 30% Psionic Resist The only thing I'm trying to figure out with my build is if my single target damage will be enough with essentially just the damage slotted Dark Grasp + Pets + Fireball. Currently have Fire Blast just single slotted (filler). I just wish we had something to slow -Res IOs into. We've got -Regen and -ToHit out the wazoo, but I was hoping to find a way to take some -Res and -Recharge via IOs+Incarnates.
  17. Did you ever get it settled down? Also how are Gremlins? I've never played with them - are they able to do decent damage and survive?
  18. Looking at this build it seems like End usage would be kind of insane. Even just doing Follow Through, Strike, Lunge you're going to run out pretty quick with all those toggles. How do you manage it?
  19. You can literally earn T4 incarnates sitting AFK in fire farms, so no.
  20. That's amazing. With how many people there are out there who love creating costumes, I'm kind of surprised this isn't more of a 'thing'. Maybe we can make it a thing? People can do it for fun or influence? I tend to have concepts, but sometimes suck at the final execution (like I can get my basic idea out there, but I suck at the final details and bringing it all together). There's definitely times I'd love to ask for help for this sort of thing.
  21. The amount of effort you put in to justify your crappy behavior is hilarious :)
  22. Talk about selfish. "Hey, I know this annoys literally -everybody- else, and makes killing actually slower, but I don't care. Also it'd be fixed if we took three times as long to kill stuff by letting the tank position it against a wall or corner so my annoying powers didn't inconvenience the entirety of the team. Why won't they do that? Yeah, can't imagine why people tend to dislike Energy blasters...
  23. So far I'm loving it, but I haven't done anything super duper demanding that has like defense debuffs and stuff. But for smashing content it is great and fast. The resists are lower than I'm used to for when those mobs get that shot through the defenses, but that giant self heal works great. Killing speed is very fast, TW is amazing. It also exemplars very well, I've been working on Task Force Commander and my defenses are pretty much still capped at the lower levels, too, with attuned IOs and the slot setup. Even soloing Clamor at the end of Yin's TF was a snoozefest/bore (in a good way).
  24. Bonus tip: Use your free mission completion on the 'Kill all crey' mission, it's annoying as all hell because they're so spread out.
  25. On the flip side, I've found that water has so much AOE that I don't need the melee attacks from Atomic. I just sit above the battle and wipe out entire groups with a few buttons (and a lot of ranged defense). Atomic's self buff keeps me alive and full of Endurance and I love it. The happy ground is just not sending mobs flying. Get knockback to knockdown if you need it. Otherwise it not only annoys the tanks and melee, but everyone else trying to do area damage as well.
