  1. I'm looking for some clarity on the Tanker AOE changes. The patch says: Cone powers have Range and Arc (The radius of which equals Range). And are by definition also an AOE attack. So are cones supposed to be seeing just the arc increase, or also the radius increase? There are a number of cones that need help one way or the other. There's a number of fairly wide cones (high arc) that are short range (Ripper - 90 degree/7 range). And some cones that are both short range and tiny arc (Shadow maul - 45 degree/7 range). What should the numbers of those be now? Should Shadow Maul be 90 arc/14 radius on Pineapple or 90/7? Will we ever be able to see this tooltip show up properly on Pineapple so we can do full powers?
  2. This is an old post, but this should work I think: /bind W "+forward$$powexecname Dominate" However it will mess up things like targeting reticles (like you're going to place an AOE, you press W to inch forward, it'll clear your cursor) The auto-cast swap method here eliminates that issue, but has its own issues (sometimes you'll double swap and miss it, which can be bad if your Dom timing is tight).
  3. Speaking purely from a grouping standpoint (think max buffs, Fulcrum shift, etc): Sometimes people will ask "What is the point of tankers?" when they have a bunch of Brutes around. With these changes though, "What is the point of Brutes?" As others have said, making them more Brute-like, but with way better taunts, is not the solution. I feel like this is WAY too sweeping of a change to the Archetype. It'd be much better served with maybe 1/4 of these changes going live and seeing how things settle. Also, what is the point of the 120 base Endurance? I don't think any of my tankers have had real endurance issues except maybe in the pre-30 timeframe.
  4. Nope. Kick the one scattering stuff everywhere with all their bad manners. Problem solved 🙂
  5. Did those power set numbers include like... level 1 characters? Because for like 40+ at least they seem super weird. Darkness primary and Psy Assault the most common for Doms? What? I don't think I've ever even seen a Psionic Assault Dom. Regen by far the most popular for scrappers? Never see them at high levels, like ever. Radiation blast by far the most common primary for Defenders? what in tarnation! And Devices the most popular Blaster secondary? I've literally only ever grouped with maybe 2 others besides my own. I'd like to see these for maybe 30+ or at least 20+. Really interesting to see these though 🙂
  6. Slightly updated build - Moved some enhancements around, put a knockback to knockdown in Telekinetic Blast, too. I might play with it some more and put a Sudden Acceleration +Recharge in it instead since it doesn't seem to knockback too crazy and its single target. I need to find a slot for Trip Mine, too, to add a knockback to knockdown. The AOE on it is really nice and it explodes instantly in the middle of mobs with a pretty short cooldown now, but the knockback is too annoying. Any idea where to steal it from? Also I will probably drop Gun Drone for Vengeance or Victory Rush since I'm already deep into Leadership. I got this leveled up, Alpha unlocked, and ran it through a MoITF with zero issues. Damage seems very nice, can't wait to get a T4 Musculature in there to see how it goes up. Also with around 220%+ total recharge (Thanks, buffers!) you can actually do a rotation of Telekinetic Blast -> Taser -> Psionic Lance with zero downtime for pretty insane single target damage. 7. With the Devices changes I decided I wanted to try them out. Looking through primaries, I realized there's one I've never touched... Psychic Blast. So I decided to try to pair them up. Any suggestions on the below? S/L/E are capped, F/C are at 44.4. Not quite as much Recharge as I'd want but close enough for most of my uses. Since I'm new to the new devices AND new to Psychic Blast, I'm really unsure of some of my slotting. Especially since I had to mule a melee attack for the remaining 5% S/L resists 😁 Thoughts on how to finish this guy off? Plenty of power choices left, too. 8. On this topic - I want to setup a second build for less active farming. Does anyone have a good one that just prioritizes the auto damage from burn, quills and blazing aura?
  9. It's enough? Nice. I've been looking to revamp my Widow and might very well use something very similar. Thanks for linking your build!
  10. How do you keep it up that long with that End Drain? Do you turn off some toggles for the testing?
  11. I wouldn't pay any attention to anything from that server.
  12. Phalanx Fighting is great for what it is - take it, drop a LotG Recharge in it, and enjoy your free always on minor defense and LotG Mule. Don't slot it beyond that unless you need a defense set mule (which would be odd since Shield +power pools already have a bunch of powers for that).
  13. Would you be willing to share your build for this? I've been thinking of diving into this combo.
  14. Helen - if you give Hasten 50+5 IOs you can probably get by without Agility and go full Musculature.. that'd be a nice damage boost and I think with this you don't really need the other recharge since you have so many well slotted attacks. Thoughts? Really awesome work on those defenses though, I want to give this build a go!
  15. I'd go SR or Nin. I'm running Staff/Nin Stalker and really love it, easy to defense cap. Not as good DDR as SR, but I enjoy the flavor more, and the clicks.
  16. I think that is part of the 'feel' of Staff, sadly. The tickles. I've got a Staff Stalker with a build worth about 500m of IOs. He still feels like he's tickling mobs, even though he can destroy an Elite Boss in a few seconds pretty much. While the Swings feel 'thunky' and visceral, the damage numbers feel like they don't - but I think that's because their attack chains are very fast. I feel like I work through my entire chain twice in the time my TW finishes one bout of momentum. Staff is fun, but I am a bit underwhelmed with the feel of it.
  17. Thanks! I meant to come back and post an update and you're right, or at least close to it. Sometimes the crits don't seem to register properly in the combat log, even though I can see their health go down from it. The other part was definitely perception coming from a TW Scrapper :) Talk about a damage difference. Staff is so much fun though.
  18. Question on this one - why so much accuracy? Without Focused Accuracy and removing Vigor Alpha, you still have a ton from your set bonuses + what's slotted into each power, enough I think you should reach the cap even fighting +4s and going for AVs. EDIT: Oh I see the build has Build Up toggled on, which really throws off the Totals :) I thought there were some set bonuses upping it a ton, but it looks like you've only got 30% bonus accuracy so I can see how it'd be useful when soloing 54s. Also do you think Vigor core is worth it over Agility? The Endurance (Recovery vs Reduction) is a wash, and you trade Regen for more Defense and Recharge although I guess more Recharge isn't really needed with this build's already awesome levels of it.
  19. Not sure that'd work very well. At this point in the story she's been my sidekick as least once, and was pretty useless while I was beating up AVs way tougher than her :)

    /Atomic

I really like /atomic, and I've played it two ways. In deep with the crowd as others mentioned, and also as a very minimal totally ranged set using almost only Metabolic Acceleration (seriously that toggle is insane, tons of regen and recover and status resists - though not protection) and Ionize.
  21. To add on to the workaround, if your slots get stuck (like your level 50 slots are in early powers and you need them for a level 49 power or something) go to Slots/Enhancements -> Slots -> Auto-Arrange and it will put the lowest level slot possible in each power.
  22. I like OPs build here. Great defenses/recharge/damage. I haven't played with Fire/Shield before. Is that enough AOEs though? I guess I'm used to sets like TW (Scrapper) or Staff (Stalker) where they both have multiple good AOEs you can basically spam.
  23. I might be really new to Stalkers and misunderstanding, but it seems like Staff doesn't get as much mileage out of crits as other primaries. Am I right that a crit is based on essentially a combination of the normal damage of an attack plus its recharge? What I noticed with Staff was that it has a lot of attacks that are multiple hits. Only the first 'hit' of each attack crits and often for fairly little damage. Is it missing out on crit damage or is this damage baked into that first hit? If so, it seems fairly low, especially on their 32 attack Sky Splitter. Am I correct here or is it just my perception?
  24. That isn't a challenge because there is no team you will be useful on. There's two real options here: 1) Call it a 'challenge' - which means probably leveling solo. There's no challenge to getting carried by groups who will be doing all the work for you and basically farming exp for you. 2) Group up to level, in which case it isn't' a challenge, so much as just a funny concept.
  25. Does Power Boost actually work with Link Minds? I've heard conflicting reports. I know that Pine's said it does but I've also heard people say that it doesn't work when testing in game. You got me wondering so I did a quick test and it DOES NOT. I'm gobsmacked I guess I should have been following rule number 4 in the OP. I Wait, what? It literally says it works for Defense buffs. Sounds like a bug? Did you try Clarion as well maybe? I know Clarion's +Special works with it, and powers like Fade on my /dark Controller.
