  1. My best guess around that issue is that various events over the last year have meant that the devs have been unable to consolidate their changes into one place - I imagine doing so takes a long sustained effort from everyone. But they were still able to develop things individually, which inflated the consolidation problem. It sounded to me like a few months ago they hit the breaks on what they were doing in their own sandbox builds in order to get serious about getting it together. In a way, it's no bad thing that this one is so big. The dev team can trial how much & often releasing content works for them. This end of the spectrum seems to be above a comfortable capacity. /speculation
  2. Calling it a combo mechanic isn't quite right. That suggests you must use TF to ET adjacently. But energy focus from TF sticks around for a while. You can fit a lot in that cap before firing off ET. This coming from a self-confessed button masher. Other ways to proc EF might be nice, but I imagine this was tried and found to be off balance.
  3. I think this is a really cool idea. Certainly would love to hear more thoughts about how a 1-10 range time travel arc could shape up. Edit: Two birds, one stone thought: I've heard people understandably feeling uncomfortable about the new Mercy takeover arc, specifically the last contact (Harris I think his name was.) I wonder if an alternative strategy of going back in time to when Longbow took over Fort Darwin and preventing their takeover before it ever happened would work.
  4. Interesting. I'll give this a shot later as well.
  5. Also staggered by how high MA climbed (too high?). I'm going to be giving that a go on beta next.
  6. The actual CoH install you get from the HC launcher is a separate install from the tequila one. Basically you'll have CoH installed twice if you have both. You need the launchers to access their respective installs, which means if you get rid of tequila but not its version of the CoH, you'll have the install sitting around unused. But again, I'd hang on until launcher 1.0 before uninstalling tequila.
  7. If you press the 'left' button on those sorts of options (the one inline to the name of the currently selected part), it jumps straight to the bottom of the list. Not saying it shouldn't change to the top, but I find that helps. I don't know if you mean anything more specific, but options > window > save windows right down the bottom does this. It saves it into wdw.txt. You can then load them to other characters, and new characters will automatically adopt this. Edit: i may have read this as a suggestion but now I see you might just be making a statement.
  8. It's a big'un. Contacts, Missions, Clues and Souvenirs Consolidation! One larger menu to contain all of the above, where clues are listed under their respective missions and missions listed under their respective contacts. Those lists can be expanded to save clutter. It would keep a record of all completed missions and all of its clues and contact dialogue for reference, which can be toggled on and off. The contact's main listing would include their souvenir for an overview of the plot, but you'd also be able to see their introductory dialogue. The very top entry would be current contact and their story arc up to the point its completed, even if it's someone else's. This way other members of the team would be able to see all of the dialogue and clues so far as much as the team leader. A second tab would include inactive contacts that contains all of the above for reference in the same layout. A third tab would be the 'find contacts' page, which would neatly list currently available contacts but also sort and section them by chronological relevance according to other arcs the player has already done. It would be nice to sort contacts into 'chapters' relating to timeframes throughout the life of the game such as "after the first Rikti War", "The second Rikti Invasion" "The Praetorian War", etc. Each contact would give a little bit of context as to why your character would want to meet this contact ("Azuria usually deals with magical affairs." or "An aspiring mad scientist would get a lot from working with Vernon von Grun.") Also this tab will chill out about Night Ward, ok?
  9. First I've ever heard of this. There's no chance you've put in a bind on w that tries to flypose is there?
  10. Only from vendors to declutter them. They're still very much around.
  11. Going out on a limb, I would hazard a guess that the new portal isn't aware of who its owner is. I think you're summoning in a separate entity rather than a pet as before (it no longer appears in the pet menu on beta). Otherwise, I think that's not a bad idea. As you say though, might be complex.
  12. I think it's because every placed Ouroboros portal will always last 90 seconds rather than disappear when the owner enters it. Say a team of 8 players all leave a mission and they each place their own Ouro portals, you'd end up with a whole bunch of them hanging around. It's maybe best that they don't linger for as long as previously.
  13. I never knew about /customwindow. That's so good! For a visual on how that looks, to reduce power tray clutter: Can these menus be exported and shared across characters?
  14. I'd keep it for now until the new launcher is out of beta, just in case. Deleting tequila won't remove the CoH install, I think. I'm not sure what the best way to uninstall the tequila CoH installation would be.
  15. Just finished my casual run of it. It went really smoothly. I'll do another this week and try to explore and read more thoroughly.
  16. Sad news, but thank you for it being something you looked at and for sharing. ❤️
  17. Good AoE is bound to do better than good ST in those tests. Chewing through large groups all at once just isn't EM's schtick. The mid/low times are on brand.
  18. I'm unsure what you mean by those. Could you explain for my dumb lizard brain? It might be possible, whatever it is! The parameter in /powexeclocation <parameter> is really versatile.
  19. I'm unclear what you're advocating, Blackbird. Do you think the portal should return to being more inconvenient to get? But you're also saying it should be on the P2W vendor. P2W was a quick fix so that features that were locked behind transactions on live can still be obtained. Its stock doesn't need to be expanded any more (and I personally think it should be phased out and have its contents more organically placed in the game, but that's another discussion). I don't think chat spam is much to worry about. It's an MMO and it's great when people help each other out. An Ouro portal dropped next to ms lib will last 90 seconds (and ALWAYS 90 seconds, whereas currently it vanishes when the caster zones), which means the spam would usually only reoccur that often at most. If it somehow becomes a problem, maybe the portal could sustain for longer, but I really don't see that becoming an issue.
  20. You can macro exactly that with /powexeclocation target combat teleport. Since the recharge is so fast, you could take the power off your tray and exclusively use the macro for this.
  21. Part way through but need to go to bed. Overall, this is easily one of the best arcs in the game. I've had a clean run of it so far (but I spotted some things I want to try to see if I can break it). Doc Buzzsaw's dialogue is absolutely ace and she now stands higher than ever as the best character in the game. Couple of teeny tiny typos: Pierce behaved a bit strangely here. She was aligned correctly when she spawned in but rotated twice. As a final note for now.
  22. I think the idea is it still has to be earned, but it now doesn't matter when it's earned. So it's not that level 1s should be able to use the portal, it's that they can.
  23. I think you left out the Mercy Island placement from the patch notes: Dunno if I love the placement - it doesn't feel like a natural corner to me. Would a small platform tucked into the dead end up ahead with it on be possible at this point?
  24. Evil Epaulets on the right shoulder shows both. The left shoulder shows just the one correctly.
  25. The late-life development of quality over quantity was starting to show as the legacy servers came to an end. But the game is still dragging around a lot of content with the opposite mindset. It's pretty clear that HC are following suit. The new blueside arc on beta is full of surprises (yet to try the redside one, but it's the one thing that has me most excited). I'd love to see every arc given its own flair. It's just a huge undertaking.
