  1. I didn't know where to ask but how does Energy Focus Store/Release work again? I used the search function here in the Forums but I didn't see much on it.
  2. I can see the potential and I'm no stronger to the confused in Plant and Electric control. Certain powers like Telekinesis is a turn off to me but I think I might revisit MIDS and poke around to see if there is build that I like. I really want to make a Mind Control toon that I can enjoy.
  3. Is there a Mind Dominator or Mind Controller farm video out there? I just have never seen a good Mind anything. I know they exist but I need to see it to believe it lol. EDIT: NVM, I found one. That was interesting looking...I guess it's not my cup of tea then. It was nice to finally see mind in action though. Warning: Profanity

  8. I agree with you. I'd be perfectly happy with an Illusion Control port as is...but I don't know how other Dominator players would feel about it. I think the old Devs did a bit too much overthinking when it came to porting stuff; for example how they were against porting Ice Melee over to Brutes when in reality we all now know that it was fine and Ice Brutes have no issue with aggro management. The Devs also thought that Dominators were over performing compared to Controllers. The Devs didn't take in account that factors like utility, support, damage, containment damage, debuffing and survival that Controller secondaries provided as well as the proc options. Remaking Illusion Control for Dominators would probably be beyond time consuming and I don't know if the Homecoming team would want to burn so much time. I think they deserve it though since dominators have the least amount of build options compared to any of the non Vet Archetypes.

Hrm, this probably means all critters that are disoriented, sleep, held whatever are flagged which makes sense. I mean that's probably how Containment work on Controllers but...*brain sets on fire*. Esoterist, to be honest...I value your ability to keep a clear mind because to be honest I did NOT have the ability to scroll up and look at the patch notes and see that the changes to Chilling Embrace is still dealing damage every 2 seconds. I am currently psychically screaming because a change that I've desired ever since I started playing this game finally happened. I am far too emotional right now to process this news let alone read...like anything.
  11. It looks like it was removed because it interfered with Flash Freeze. I was excited about the change too but I understand why it had to be scrapped. I'd imagine there will be changes to Ice Control far, faaar down the road.
  12. I've been waiting for what felt like, SO long...Thank you! I can now start playing so many toons and so many new builds thanks to these changes! I have so many Fresh builds that were cooked up in MIDs!
  13. Good God....I dunno if I want to spend much time on this post even though it deserves all of it lol. Like Oedipus said everything is solid control wise except for Ice. Electric isn't the best for damage but if slotted well it can Drain AVs dry.
  14. Is there a way to test if the new Chilling Embrace is properly reducing incoming damage? I checked the pet Combat Windows, Regular Combat Window and I'm not seeing anything. Knowing me I had to of overlook something.
  15. Don't mind me I have some COH information mixed up every since the game came back. It's a tie between what I think I remember, what guides are saying and what I found out to be the truth. In this situation it's a bit of everything because a lot of guides are saying that those two powers work well with procs but from my testing that is not the case especially when I look back in my Mids Hero designer builds and at this point I feel like testing everything in Beta before making a build is the safest bet. I thought the Armageddon Proc was firing but it was just lower level mobs taking more damage from my proc. I heard that FF+Rech works in it but ever since Sudden Acceleration was a thing I haven't looked back but I would assume for controllers that might not be that much of an issue if mobs are Immobed first. That's something that my Plant/ Traps can pull off with ease compared to my Dark/Traps Controller
  16. I used to cast them right on top of the target but then I started casting them whenever they were up. I remember them procing often enough many years ago but I haven't tested again recently and currently my Dark/Traps toon is waiting to hit 50 before I proc out seekers. I can try it out on Beta though. EDIT: Finished testing. Well I guess I remembered wrong because not a SINGLE proc went off in Seeker Drones *facepalm*. I don't know if this was by design or what. I'm reading in other guides that procs rarely fire in it so maybe I should of read those guides first haha. I suspect it summons an unenhancable pet when it explodes that debuffs the mob and that's why non of my procs are firing? So I guess at best Seekers are good for a set holder and that's about it. I am happy to say that Caltrops proc'd as much as I remembered which is one of the reasons why I always take the power if I can fit it in my build and of course Acid Mortar, Poison Trap and both bombs were proc'ing like crazy when I tested it out a few minutes ago.
  17. All of the sets you mentioned are indeed just the best with procs. I love how you can also turn seeker drones into a mini nuke with Procs. I made a Dark/Traps Controller that is just Bursting at the seems with Procs so much so that it's ridiculous.
  18. That sounds extremely difficult to construct power wise but you are a Powerset Magister so I'm excited to see what you come up with. Also stop coming up with cool -ISH at this rate I'm going to have to hit like on 90% of your posts and follow you around like a lost puppy like I did with Hawkward and Synap lol.
  19. I love the different approaches to the game too. Heck I'm just happy to play again. That's excellent to hear about making T1s more useful. The Homecoming team have definitely proved what you said is true by making amazing changes to the Tier 1s for Devices and Earthy Assault to name a few. That's excellent news especially for folks like me who often skip over my Tier 1 Primary or Secondary powers.
  20. Such a shame. I guess there's no point of slotting Procs in toggles anymore 😕 I gathered as much but I was hoping someone who is far more versed in coh game knowledge and math could prove me wrong.

I was shocked that they didn't come to this realization before they went with the change...or maybe they felt like the neutering of Proc utility in toggle or pet sets was justified due to their past broken performance over the years. Whatever the case may be it was unnecessary and petty and in many ways lowered the popularity, use and diversity of many powersets even though in fairness it felt strongly like a temporary fix much like what happened with Snipe powers. I just hope our current Dev team is willing to and able to take a revisit certain sets and powers and breathe life into them once more. Also Sir, I figured out the same thing not too long ago when it comes to some toggles. It almost seems like treating toggles as a rotation power might have the most proc benefits in comparison to keeping it on at all times.

  23. Is there a way to craft more than 1 Basic Craft IO? I tried to make alternate versions of the one we use now with no success. /boost Crafted_Recharge Crafted_Recharge 50 is what we are using now but I would love to see /boost 3 Crafted_Recharge Crafted_Recharge 50 Oh and I'm sure someone already mentioned this but the Annihilation Proc Set isn't listed in the Popmenu Freebies so if anyone needs it just copy here and paste this in game... /boostset Annihilation 50
  24. This issue probably is a minor but as I was running uphill in Atlas I noticed Vehicles were temporarily floating as the starting their descent downhill. It was almost if they were driving half a foot above the ground right at the beginning of the descent.
  25. Aha! Good to know that I wasn't going nuts haha. I actually love the PhsyX changes so I'm for implementing the dynamic scaling you mentioned. The scaling sounds like a lot of work though and I wager you guys have enough on your plate as is...maybe you can scale back the debris by 50-75% or whatever you feel would show case the new changes without gutting the true wow factor. Thank you letting me know how to temporarily resolve the issue :D.
