  1. I think it works well for all melee ATs. Plus it has 3 powers that take the force feedback proc and with the Sudden Accel Proc I treat Lightning clap like it's Foot Stomp so stuff always stay off their feet.

  3. Thankfully, It's not a common issue for me. I mostly encounter this problem when I make Resurrect/Vengeance focused Support toons or when I'm building some Dominators. I always build my toons with laser focused goals and concepts but there are times when I'm just shy of being able to take Vengeance or Weave for example. In most situations I compensate for this by using Procs, IOs, different pool power choices or I just change my Primary or Archetype. At times avoiding sets that have too many "must have" or "signature" powers is key if it gets in the way of your main vision.
  4. First of all my apologies if I offended you WumpusRat or anyone else when I voiced my complaints. I've been a fan of your posts for a while and I enjoy your wit and in-depth knowledge of the game. It was not my intent to suggest a free granting of slots or powers without any penalties or sacrifices. I sincerely apologize for not wording my post better. I was thinking that maybe having three options for non Travel Power pools might be in the cards but I'm just guessing all over the place at this point. I'm just excited about everything and I'm letting my emotions take hold when I post. I've enjoyed what the Homecoming team has provided so far so whatever happens I'm looking forward to it! Force of Will: The subdued and organic look of the set really resonated with me and when I changed the color to the lowest possible shade of gray it gave off an even more natural look. Like others have said, I would love to see a No FX version of this if possible. I need to do more testing but I'm liking Force of Will so far. The versatility and uniqueness of this set reminds of the Sorcery pool. I thought I noticed some slight sound delays when I fired off my Will abilities but I'm not so sure. It might be just that I am not used to the new powers haha. More testing will be underway. Halloween Event: You guyssss...the environment changes. ack. Wow! It looks especially perfect in Croatoa. I would suggest mixing up the tree options near Ms. Liberty though especially since it's night time. Some costumes didn't play well with my Toon's Demon tail. The Troll costume covered up my tail just fine but costumes like "Crey Agent" allowed me to put on the costume but my demon tail was still there. Here's the error I received. "PWTFailOwned" I know what that means but I just wanted to report the error to give you guys and gals a heads up. Excellent work all in all though :D.
  5. I'm on test now respecing and about to test Force of Will but I HAVE to ask...are there any plans to extend the amount of slots you can have in a power? Or somehow make it possible for us to pick even more powers for a toon in the veteran levels? Pardon my derp if this already exists in game. <complainy wah rant> I love having more options but like many have stated before builds are FAR too tight and trying to take powers like Tough, Weave, Acrobatics, Vengeance, Victory Rush you name it are normally out of reach and shouldn't even be a possible power pick in the game because you have to sacrifice in some cases 4 power picks from your Primary and Secondary just to get them. Sorry that was a long run on sentence but it's frustrating! I know pretty much what you posted above loosely addressed this concern but I wanted you and the other Devs to know that a decent amount of us feel this way. Especially Tankers and Supoort classes. </complainy wah rant>
  6. I knew about this Rylas but I didn't want to directly say it because Powerhouse said that he can't promise anything. I think you managed to comment about the Energy Assault changes but I wasn't sure. I don't think I often see you hang out in to Dominator section :P. Regardless if you did or did not I wanted you to know more than anyone about the possible future changes.
  7. I've used it more than I care to admit ironically. Especially for rescue missions or when someone pulls a mob straight ahead of them but they didn't notice the three mobs hiding in the corner that they also pulled by mistake. When moments like this happen I am able to lockdown 3 or more mobs. 1 group gets Wormholed and immobed, the other groups gets held and the third groups gets Dimension Shifted.
  8. I guess it's a personal preference but I feel like Water Blast is very punchy especially when Water Jet Recharges and you hit that mob with yet another Blast. I agree Steam Spray feels amazing and has the same feel and punch that Fireball or Frost Breath gives. Water has more of an AOE punch than it's single target punch. My water toon can clear out an entire mob easily with Geyser + Water Burst + Whirlpool + Steam Spray. In fact I only tend to get to the second attack in that sequence before I notice everything is dead. When my Nuke is down My AOE's are more than enough to compensate for my recharging Nuke. When it comes to ST Water feels like DOT followed up by an eventual big burst from Hydro Blast and 2 x Water Jet. Water Blast for me is an amazing set. It feels natural to play at ranged and close up. It provides so much survival with knock up that it rivals the controlled feel of sets like Assault Rifle and Dark Blast. Water Blast also has amazing proc options.

    Tesla Cage would be your hardest hitting attack actually. In fact with Procs Tesla Cage will deal over double the damage Zapp inflicts. That's why people have been taking long recharge hold attacks in certain sets. With proper proc slotting those holds hit like a truck and out perform the Sets Tier 9 attack.
  10. I wish I could join in and provide the much needed data for testing...but when it comes to melee I feel like a fish out of water. All I can do is cheer everyone on and hope someone tests and helps the Devs find all the answers. It just kills me that I can't contribute 😕
  11. Maybe Beasts kill faster as an offset? Like a high risk-High Reward Scenario? From what I've been told Demons are a good middle ground and they have a lot of variety and they are safe. I'm going by word of mouth mind you so take what I said with a grain of salt.
  12. I've always been a fan of Icy Assault but this change to Chilling Embrace is huge and should make it contender with other revered top tier sets in regards to damage, mitigation and utility.
  13. I would avoid Talos at all costs everyone. The map load screen will load 30% of the way and then the game would crash. This happened on the HC Beta, HC Beta (64 bit) and the HC Beta (Safe Mode) Server.
  14. I don't doubt it! I have been one of the loud few on Live who have been pushing for Ice Melee being available for other ATs so I was beyond excited to see the proliferation of the set on other ATs on Homecoming. I joined a team not too long ago with my Ice/Rad Stalker. The team was hesitant because there was no support, the diff was set crazy high and the Tank kept getting overwhelmed and dying...would you know I managed to keep the tank alive by using Ice Patch right underneath him as well as softening up the mobs with my crit buffed Frost and Frozen Aura? It was nice experience and I hope the team learned more about the Gospel of Ice! Haha
  15. I don't know if I can agree with you there Demon Shell. I think a lot of players get hung up on the hypothetical but in reality it's possible to Perma Carrion Creepers from Plant Control as well as Haunt from Dark Control. Creepers and Haunt with proper Proc slotting deals impressive damage and it also Tanks and absorbs aggro for the caster. These two sets are insanely powerful and also available to Dominators and currently on Homecoming any combo with these two control sets are insanely strong but they are not anywhere near the lines of broken. There are also insanely damaging pairings for controllers that not only support the team but deal broken damage. Plant/Traps, Ill/Traps are some examples of pairings that deal so much damage/support that it rivals Masterminds and Scrappers. Speaking of Broken can you imagine perma Gang War fully Fulcrum Shifted? (Or 2 Gang Wars) That's possible now and I have teamed with a few people who are able to do this and let me tell you it is a sight to behold. An Illusion Dominator would be strong but top tier server broken? Ehhh.
  16. I was wondering if they are going to give Energy Melee the same treatment that Energy Assault received for Dominators in the distant future. I think the Energy Assault changes helps bring the setup with the rest damage wise.
  17. Oh and I have a Ice/Shield and Ice/Rad that I'm working on. Back on Live I have a Kin/Ice and it was AMAZING it was like playing a Tank that could DPS!
  18. I had quite a few on Live and I'm JUST NOW remaking my old ones. Stalkers took my melee cherry and even though I am still range-heavy I have learned to appreciate melee more thanks to Stalkers. My first was the classic Nin/Nin which I remembered as being amazing. I thought that I had my nostalgia goggles on but man was I wrong. Nin/Nin is still a beast. I'm thinking about rolling a BS/Rad and a Kin/Shield. Broadsword should feel somewhat at home since I am familiar with Ninja Blade and Kinetic Melee seems like it would be quite interesting on Stalkers. With Kinetic Melee I'm thinking... (Stealthed) Build Up + Concentrated Strike Three attacks to build Assasin's Focus with the hide proc in it + A recharged Build Up from the concentrated strike buff Concentrated Strike again from Hide. Build up recharged again and maybe Burst? I need to test this on Beta first of course before I even roll one and level it to 50
  19. I believe so. I didn't have any sets or accolades running and it still hit the mob. I even trashed the Accuracy enhancement that I had in it. Notice in the photo there's no To Hit or Accuracy checks in chat.
  20. I mean let's be honest. Illusion Controllers don't play like other Controllers lol. The only thing that comes close is Plant Control and maybe Dark Control.

I think it's a bit much to say that an Illusion Dominator would be the strongest combo in the game when we have pairing like Bots/Force Field, Thugs/Anything Mastermind, Fire/Rad Controller, Dark/Dark Defender, Titan/Bio Scrapper to name a few. It might add Dominators onto the lists of greats but I doubt a Illusion/Fire Dominator would be able to out perform something like a Thugs/Time Mastermind.
  22. I have an Assault Riffle/Traps that was an old main that I remade. He's amazing and the proc potential for both pairings is huge! In fact...I'm extremly shocked at how low Traps scored across almost all ATs that have it. It's rubbing elbows with Trick Arrow and Sonic Res! How is that possible lol. Those three sets are monsters with procs.
  23. Don't even get me started on Elec and Earth. I've always noticed the shortage of them but I thought I was imagining things...turns out I wasn't sadly. I'm glad there's more discussion about sets that do well with procs and the ind depth discussion that follows suit. Turns out a lot of folks are not that Mids Lords so they go by word of mouth and popular combos a lot of the time.
  24. Indeed! I think Pbaoe Procs have a chance to fire every 10 seconds on each single baddie so I decided to load CE with some juicy PbAoe procs in MIDS. My current Ice is only level 33 so I'm going to wait a bit before slotting them. Currently it's slotted with 1 End Reduc IO, 2 Acc IO's and one Damage IO.
  25. I would love to see more shorts options as well as more shoe or boot options for both Women and Men! Does anyone know if this is something possible in the future or is it something that takes far too much work?
