  1. After the Dom changes Ice/Ice is very solid when it comes to traditional set play...but it becomes an absolute monster with procs.
  2. My first lvl 50 was a Gravity/Kin back on live. Loved that toon to pieces. Grav/Time seems like yet another perfect pairing. The trick with Grav/Time is that on the surface it seems lackluster but if you go into the heavily proc direction you start realize that Gav/Time is extremely potent and lethal.
  3. Hot Feet adds soft control and can be turned into soft control with KD if you slot the Avalanche proc. Hot Feet also adds a ton of damage if it has the right procs loaded in it. That's about it though.
  4. Savage Melee had a few issues going on with it for a while. I think a power wasn't dealing any damage and MIDS displayed the wrong damage numbers. I've seen far more /Savage Assault players than I ever had once the changes finally hit. Hopefully the trend will continue :D.

  6. This should be an easy fix for me but I can't figure it out. In the past when you slotted the Force Feedback Proc, Gaussian's Chance for Build Up or Decimation: Chance for Build Up MIDS would auto show the buffed values of the proc in your build unless you unclicked the little green button on the power that the proc was slotted in. For example Force Feedback proc when clicked on will show how the different recharge values when it's turned on. This no longer seems to be the case with this current version. Is there a way to turn that feature back on?
  7. Just be careful, one miss of Fire Cages and Bonfire will send a mob flying across the stratosphere lol.
  8. I would focus on your controls first in dicey situations like that. Make sure everything is locked down and then you can go to town. One thing about /Earth is the fact it's so scrappy feeling so it's easy to get lost in the flow of battle.
  9. I have a feeling it would send the mob to the afterlife crippled lol. I would of said no to TW years ago on Stalkers but I actually have enjoyed non-sterotypical stealth sets like Fire Melee and Elec Melee.
  10. Wow...so many good costumes and I'm not the biggest fan when it comes to making costumes for my toons. That was some tough competition! I don't envy the judges for this one in the slightest lol.
  11. One thing I noticed is that Burn from Fire Aura Crits. I don't know if the Scrapper or Brute version does but I think their version does not.
  12. It's just stupid with Power Boost followed up by Bitter Ice Blast, that's true.
  13. Dark Blast is a lot like Rad Blast. On paper both Blast sets look underwhelming compared to most but when you consider Dark and Rad's Proc potential the sets really shine. Dark Blast with proc hits hard and is bursty. The set also offers Immobs and -To Hit debuffing and holds for days. It's like having a mini controller. Radiation Blast with procs helps melt faces by reducing the enemies defense and resistance which is something that's welcomed no matter what level your team is.
  14. I have both an Ice/Rad and Elec/Rad and I love for different reasons. My Elec/Rad has turned into a more than just your typical Rad. Elec Control in conjunction with Rad is an End Drain force to be reckoned with and now his main theme/focus isn't support it's draining mobs dry and making them hit like kittens. Elec Control, EM Pulse and Mu Mastery and I'm locking down even AVs. It's so fun. I need to make a legit build for him though.
  15. Blizzard makes an excellent Debuff thanks to the fact that it kills, kd, slow and -To Hit mobs but on it's own -25 To hit isn't enough during the late-late game. It would be better paired on a Defender or Corr with the Dark Miasma secondary to back up the amazing power of Blizzard.
  16. Ice/TA would be my first choice since it's ranged and then I would put in a vote for Ice/EM and maybe Ice/Devices. Devices is more melee focused than the other two but but /Devices can sometimes make single target powers really shine.
  17. Aren't there people who can solo Incarnate Trials now thanks to Incarnate abilities and buffs? Illusion Dominators would be no different then an end game Blaster, Scrapper or Brute who can accomplish that feat. An Illusion Dom wouldn't surpass them in damage or survivability either. One thing that a lot of people don't realize is that it's possible to out aggro Phantom Army and even the Terrorize and KD from both Illusion pets are not enough to keep the heat off of you which would be magnified ten fold on a high damaging/debuffing dominator. For example I had Super Speed, Superior Invis., Group Invis, Phantom Army, Spectral Terror, Phantasm all running at the same time. Phantom Army engaged the Mob and I was unnoticed (I was hiding behind a wall when I cast my powers). Freezing Rain, Tornado and Water Spout went out; still mostly unnoticed. As soon as I ran in to hit Flash, Bile Spray, Lightning Storm and Spectral wounds I started taking hits and this is when Phantom Army was up. I also noticed that my attacks were almost on equal threat/taunt levels as Phantom Army due to the Mk I Zenith Warcry and Equinox Adjutant turning back and forth to me and then PA and then ultimately aiming at PA yet when their blast animated it hit me square on the chin. When I hit Burnout and summoned another Tornado and Lightning Storm it was clear that I was out aggroing Phantom Army but they were still absorbing enough damage to aid me with survival. I replicated the same thing but with a Giant Monster and I was met with an untimely end before I could do any real damage to him. So at best with a very active secondary Phatnom Army should be seen as having an extra defense shield on a Dominator but the reality of it is that you will still out aggro on a Controller and most certainly on a Dominator. Incoming Mezz that even Perma Domination can't save you from, damage splashes from Cone, PbAOE & AOE would be something you would mitigate through resistance or defense just like any other class. So in the end you would be on the same level as the top performers if built right and you would not be Overpowered compared to every other AT and set combination in the game. Dominators are great but they have limits.

  19. So the question I have is that are Dominators not allowed to Solo AVs? Brutes, Masterminds, Controllers, Scrapper, Defenders, Tankers, Widows, SoAs or who knows maybe Stalkers and Blasters and other ATs can too. Is this a discussion about how fast it can be done because I'd imagine for Brutes, Masterminds and soon to be Tankers dealing damage to an AV should be comparable or even higher than a Dominator with survivability in spades and if the Dominator somehow gets aggro for a few seconds he could be toast unlike a well built Tanker or Brute or other ATs.
  20. Sonic indeed is a bit much and should be on here if possible. All forms of Sonic really lmao. Especially the power called Sonic Repulsion and the Force Field power called Repulsion Field, Singularity from Gravity Control, Repel from Kinetics...well any repel power now really. Thanks to the Sudden Acceleration Proc KB and Repel Powers are Desirable. Love what has been done so far!

So after even more further review I've just come to realize that the Force of Will pool may change how I play 80% of my toons...especially when it comes to high risk high rewards builds like for example Poison and Storm. In the very recent past I would try to rely on my controls, soft control from blast sets, combat jump, tough and weave for survival since Poison and Storm tend to out threat/aggro most Tankers on teams....but when you take Unrelenting + Unleash Potential with high enough recharge in your build it fills the void of that much needed protection that the previous method did in another way. Taking this route has it's risks too because you'll be subjected to getting mezzed unlike the old tough and weave way which you were able to slot with +Mezz resistance procs. I am again impressed and I love how well Force of Will just naturally fits in the game and with SO many styles of play. I cannot wait for the other pools in the future and I can't wait to donate even more money to the Homecoming team. Now excuse me I need to redo all of my builds in MIDS 😅.
  22. I'm hoping Traps gets the /Devices treatment. They changed Trip Mine and Time Bomb into a PbAOE I believe. Like Plain Guy said Traps is amazing and that's without procs. Once you add Procs in the equation powers like Poison Trap, Caltrops and Acid Mortar become game changers. I would go into detail but I could write a paper on Traps proc potential. Instead, I will steer you to Sir Mishkin's Thread on it.
  23. It looks like their version of Illusion Control is almost exactly the same as the Controller version. The only difference is that Spectral Wounds was removed which makes sense on a Dominator. Doms already have ST damage in their secondary. It looks like their Pet is their first power which I heard is something common on their servers.
  24. I hope it gets the Energy Assault Dominator treatment.
